Yinko watched the two boys and her mouth hung open. "What are you doing?" she asked innocently.

Kai arrived at the small village with rice fields plotted everywhere. Kai pulled out kagekiri in it's white katana form. "Time to have a little fun. Uwibami no Senkou Ryuu." Kagekiri took the form of a large skeletal dragon with the bones connected by chakra glowing a furious shade of red and yellow like fire. On the head the mark of the Uchiha clan lay buried deep in it's skull. The skeletal form of the dragon spiraled around on the ground with the tail attached as though it we're part of Kai's arm. Kai lept into the air. "Uwibami pierce their souls." Kai said as moved his arm making the giant skeletal form of the dragon lunge into a building. Screams could be heard as Kai pulled his arm back and blood dripped from the mouth of Uwibami's jagged teeth. Kai continued tearing through one house after the other sparing none.

After hours of screaming and terror coming from the village Kai left. The village now a smoldering wreck and only lifeless body remain scattered across the village. "That was simply delicious. Uwibami seal." Kai said with a sadistic grin as kagekiri returned to it's original form. In Kai's other hand he held a blood red sphere. This will be the first of many offerings.

Asakura was hit cirtically by the blow and was send hurtling back, like a ragdoll in a hurricane. Surprisingly, he regained control and landed on his feet. He took a step back and the stone tile he stepped on seemed to sink in, like a button. "Uh-oh," He said as he ducked. A massive spike burst out of the wall behind him and flew straight over his head, was aimed towards Masayuki.

Rio jumped from the poison cloud, totally unaffected (his Kama blood remember?) and landed in front of Masayuki as he made had seals and said, "Earth Style! Turtle Shell!" At that, the ground came up to make a shell shape in front of them, so really only a half shell. The spike hit it and the shell was dented but held as the spike reflected off the curved top and hit the roof at another angle that sent it into the pit that Masayuki just came out of.

As Rio took his hands off the ground and the earth shield crumbled he turned to Masayuki and said, "We don't have time to mess around with this guy, if we do, we'll just tire ourselfs out before we can finish, on time. Sometimes you just have to let a grudge go temporarily for the benifit of the team and the mission. You can settle whatever you have with him after this test, but we are relying on you as much as you are on us. You can't put us at danger to get revenge!" Rio spoke with the forcefulness of a real leader, betraying his true age and if anyone had met him, would have said it made him look just like his father. He was dead serious about this, and if anyone was watching, he seemed to be breathing a little harder, showing that he probably just reopened his lungs wound on the inside, and his arm wound was partially split open and was beginning to re-heal again......

Shooting a firey look at Rio, Masayuki snorted. He glanced back at Asakura, and hesitated. He had run from him once before because of this stupid exam, he didn't want to run again. But Rio was right. He ran the other direction and scooped up Lin-Mao and the way through. Traps srang all the way through the rest of the hall, but he just ignored them.
The Hyuuga stood silent staring at the remaining entrants. "He has chosen wisely." he said. "The answer is to do both. Save your comrade and complete the mission. One should never comprimise the other." He turned and stepped into the darkness.

Rio breathed a sigh of relief as he fell to one knee and squeezed his eyes shut, blocking out the pain and stress that his body was going through from his recent set of manuvers. As his breathing began to stead he got up and rotated his arm to see that hit was fully healed. He looked tired, mostly from the fact that he was letting down the mask that he had used while talking to Masayuki, he had been slightly afraid of the chance that Masayuki wouldn't listen to him, but that didn't matter anymore.

Rio took out a dried, beef jerky like food that he bit off a piece and chewed and sucked on, releasing the nutrients, sugars and other things in the food. This dried meat was also filled and coated with nutrients by the Ohmus and dried in advance for long missions. It tasted like jerky, but it had enough nutrients and carbos in one bite to sustain a grown man for a day. But since Rio's symbiotes were extremely active, it would only fill him up for about 3 hours, so as soon as he finished he took another bit of the stick of meat.

He also felt that his base charka was getting to low for his liking. His symbiotes would continue to speed his recovry of that charka, as well as his stamina, at an increased rate because of their mass-production, but he would still have to play it as safe as possible until the final part of this test. He turned to Asakura and said, "If you wouldn't mind, could you just leave Masayuki alone until this is done? I'm sure the kages would not be happy about you insighting him to attack you at the risk of other participants."

Rio then walked away and jumped the gap of the hole to land next to Hytoshi and offer him a piece of the jerky. He suggested they get moving, and they were lucky that Masayuki's mad-dash had set off almost all of the traps and the remaining ones Rio could spot and he and Hytoshi could avoid without major effort, though it slowed them down a little.
