The more you snub those who have a passing interest or you deem to be pousers, the more pousers there'll be and the more stereotypes will be inflicted on the culture.

On the subject, from what I've seen on the top-rated's on VF, the site is dominated by the kinds of emo stereotypes that got pushed out of Gaia by the scene fad.
