Darksol88 Scyther wanted to say something, but Aden was quick to speak up. "I caught him a little after getting into Goldenrod, at the National Park. He was kinda more bark than bite." Naturally, this didn't bode well with Scyther, but he wasn't going to start a fight here. So he kept quiet. "I know, I know, they didn't say much past that unless you were in the top brass." Ceramew said. "Same for anything else.""Apparently you've picked up Blizzard's lack of subtle humor." Doc said to Aden. "I was teasing. In fact, I can very well say that this Scyther, if it wanted to at the time, could have taken your head off in one clean swipe. This Scyther is probably...one of the more experienced as well as one of the more finer breeds of Scyther you could have found in that park." he said. "That figures." I said. "That would have explained Reno and Rude for that matter when I had those bouts with them. Even they didn't seem to know it all and I would have assumed they were in a higher standing than you were."

"(Then why did you...!)" Scyther glared at Aden in response to this, almost boastful.
"In the park. And I didn't say you weren't experienced, because I'm surprised you didn't slice me in two. But your finesse is a different story, and there's at least five others that'll tell you being in the wild only goes so far." Aden retorted, deciding not to humor the doc in that comment. Though, now he wondered just what Scyther's potential really was.
Ceramew nodded. "They were at least within the middle ranks. The Ranger Union uses a numbered ranking system as a quick way of saying what they're capable of, aside from any other designations. Even with that system, a Top Ranger's seen more highly than the usual Area Rangers or the ones that lead them, for example. There's higher than even that, but they usually stayed at the Union HQ in Almia." She explained.

Apparently you're more than just a weirdness magnet that I am told." Doc said. "A hierarchy then." I said. "Sounds about right. At any rate, just for the time being...don't worry about what goes on with Aden. Actually, maybe..." I then had a thought. "Maybe you should go see how Aden improved. Come to the gym with us in a short bit."

"Blizz told you about that too?" Aden said, now a little nervous. He still wasn't sure how he got that status. Aside from the weird mental trip at the Ruins of Alph. Or the encounters with Suicune. Or that whole incident with the Lapras, and that other one with Celebi... then again, he could see why he got the status.
"Pretty much. Maybe they'll do something about that if it ever reforms- wait, go to that gym? Um, sure, I guess..." She sounded a little nervous about the idea, and not because it'd be a means of Aden proving himself.

I think at the time, she said you were...about to leave Azalea Town at the time." he said. "At any rate, hmm...by the way it seems, your Pokemon are in pretty prestine form; ready to go have at it against the likes of Morty." he said. "You...guess? Problem, Ceramew?" I asked.

"Yeah, there's kinda been more since then. I'd explain, but I'd rather not become a case study." Aden replied. "Still, thanks... hopefully it'll go well this time."
Scyther didn't respond in any way, but the rest of them gave a quick nod. It was enough for Aden to speak up again.
"You know, Scyther, this is probably good for you too. If you've got experience now, you'll only get more. Not to mention it might be interesting to see how you'll compare to Bugsy's one day..." He said, figuring to give a bit of incentive.
"Me and ghosts dun exactly get along. Least not the ones there." Ceramew answered.

"You'll just be on the sidelines, watching the battles happen, nothing more, and I'll be watching with you. Your fears are rather unfounded." I said. He started to examine the rest rather closely as well. The Flaffy, well taken care of. Looks to be...something that he has been raising for some time. Poliwhirl, still fit as ever. Raticate, a force to be reckoned with when the time comes. Nidorino...evolved from the Nidoran...seems to be pretty recent too. Same with the Flaffy, now that he is coming to noticing it. Then Geodude...well taken care of to be sure as well, but... "Geodude doesn't get into a lot of action, does he?" Doc asked, rubbing the top of Geodude.

"He has a gender?" Aden asked. "I couldn't really tell."
"(You didn't ask that either.)"
"Sorry... anyway, it's not from a lack of trying. Though he did miss out on the last couple of gym battles."
"True... dun worry, I'll be there." At least she wasn't going to be petty.

Probably seen a few wild Pokemon fights, MAYBE a trainer, by his estimate, but really? This Geodude was being left behind. Aden apparently hasn't grasped training a whole party yet. There is evidence that he is trying to work with them all, though... "Well, at any rate, your Pokemon apparently are in fighting form. They are good to take on the Ecruteak Gym as far as I can tell." "Well that's good." I said. "Maybe you should consider transforming too for the trip. I know you're still trying to work on a few things as well."

"Other than maybe Geodude..." Aden said, before looking at the Pokemon in question. "Sorry about that. I'll do my best to work with you more. Who knows, you might do a little good at the gym. Anyway, thanks doc."
"Yeah. Might be a little easier to see what's going on too instead of having to float or sit on someone's head." Small as she was, she did have a bit of a point.

"Well, with that out of the way, if you will excuse me Aden, I think I must retire for the day." He said. "If you need anything else later, Orderly will be up in my stead. Good morning, Aden..." He said, walking off.
"Yea, probably would get a little annoying really for you." I said to her. "How about you go take care of it now." I said as I finally finished breakfast, ready to serve.

"Eh, right..." Recalling his Pokemon quickly, Aden headed out and back towards the kitchen. "Well, at least they're in good shape." He said upon arrival, only to see Ceramew excuse herself.
"...Did something happen in the last few minutes?"

If for anything, probably to put her mind at ease so she can finally get off your case for good. But, first things first, though." I said, putting a plate out. Eggs, sausage, biscuits...breakfast of champions. "Hungry?"

"...Yeah, she's probably going to be a while." Aden said, nodding and taking a seat. If he knew anything about his sister and getting ready for anything, her going now was a good thing. "Good timing on the rest, though."

If all goes well, we may get both fights at the gym done today, perhaps. Depends on you."
