There was a time when I was alone Nowhere to go and no place to call home My only friend was the man in the moon And even sometimes he would go away, too αɢє 14 | αʠʌɇиτυɹɇя | sℓчтнєяιи ғσυятн чєαя ☆º°”˜`”°º☆ ★º°”˜`”°º★ ﻬஐ Caty looked over at Ada with concern when she mentioned that something was wrong. Immediately her mind flew in one thousand-three hundred-and-forty different directions as she tried to diagnose whatever invariably fatal disease the poor woman suffered from. Well she was always pale (vitamin c deficiency?! anemia?!) but she was clutching at her chest and at her neck (a heart attack?! she was so young!), hypertension maybe?! All of this sounded so horrible! What was it you had to do for someone with a heart attack hypertension vitamin c deficiency anemia and insomnia? Insomnia! Ohmygoodness that could be it too! Did you lay them down or keep them right side up? Should she offer to take her to the kitchens for some warm milk or cold water? Should she just run for help in general?! She hadn't covered any of this in her healing class yet! Wait! Was she in healing? Fuuuuuuuuuuuuushecouldn'tremember! Caty hadn't known she was steadily pulling at her hair as she paced in place until Ada spoke again telling her they had to go straight to her dorm so she could go home. She couldn't go home! She needed to see a healer! ASAP!"But what about you?! Are you ok?! You don't look ok?! Are you sick? Are you feeling sick? Do you feel cold or hot? Or both! Is is your heart? You were holding your chest earlier, or maybe your heartrate? Was it high? Are you having an anxiety attack?! I can help with those!" She probably shouldn't have sounded so proud that she knew what to do in the event of a panic or anxiety attack seeing as her older brother was prone to getting them as was herself though less frequently than Rhys. At the mention back to the spiders and mice her mind turned completely back around when she was told to take her concerns with the transfiguration professor. She wasn't too surprised she called him by his first name, she just assumed all professors did. How awkward would it be to call another professor "professor" when you have the same jobs? Or worse, what if that professor actually taught you! That might be a little awkward then to not call them professor. She didn't think she could work at Hogwarts after she graduated. "Spiders, mice, and rats! Can't forget the rats. Do you think he conducts expeditions to go up there and get them? I would. I'd do it during the summer when they hold the summer solstice and have this grand week long festival and then I'd make it seem like a grand exchange instead of the horrors of what it actually is. That's mean isn't it? I'm basically lying to the poor dears by omitting parts of what they'd have to deal with but if I didn't they probably wouldn't want to come out of the ceiling. I surely wouldn't! It's a ceiling, an enchanted ceiling with sun and moon and stars and it's probably always a comfortable temperature up there because it always is down in the Great Hall and I bet the spiders weave wonderful blankets and quilts and jackets and they're just beautiful! Would Professor Drage let me go up with him next time you think?!" Caty wasn't even asking Ada at this point merely just spouting questions into the empty space in front of them while her eyes danced and shone with inner light that hadn't been there hours prior but with an extra gleam of madness. ஐﻬ

spaceAda found that her ability to try and reign in this... whatever it was, was being very much hindered by Caty's equally erratic reaction to it. She wanted, very badly, to have the girl slow down enough that she could actually answer her questions, but she couldn't manage to get the words out. It was like telling Mari and Damien she was pregnant all over again, except worse. She did manage to actually listen to the girl, though, and was mentally shaking her head at everything she asked. Vampire. She was a vampire. With vampire physiology, which did not behave like this. Not in her experience, anyway, which was admittedly limited, but she felt like she'd known Chris and Gracie long enough that if this sort of thing were normal she'd have seen it happen to them by now. She waved a dismissive hand, trying to make her expression as pleasant and calm as possible. "No heartrate to speak of, and I've been room temperature for roughly four years straight now, so I think I'm fine there," she managed to get out. The mention of anxiety attacks did prompt some response, because she'd suffered from anxiety in the past, obviously, but it hadn't been like this. This was... it was almost like how she'd felt at her wedding, except concentrated, somehow. All the not-anxiety and giddiness and hyper thoughts, except then there'd been a reason, an actual source. Now... there was nothing? "It's not an anxiety attack. I don't think, anyway. It doesn't feel... I suppose I never had a full blown attack when I was younger so I could be wrong, but this feels different. It's like..." Her hands went into the air, waving dramatically. "I feel... I feel like a bee! Buzzing, I'm buzzing, there's all this energy, and it's not nervous or anything and actually it's sort of... it's not happy? But it's similar. It's like I'm having an adrenaline rush. But there's nothing to cause an adrenaline rush! And I want to... to do something! But I don't know what and I shouldn't be feeling like this, I don't think. I... I'll have to ask Chris, maybe he knows. But first I need to get you to your dorm."
spaceThis time, when Caty veered off into her ranting and rambling, Ada was swept away by it. The energetic pulsing seemed to've finally fully reached her brain, and she was thinking much too quickly, the thoughts all jumbled, coming fast and trampling over the ones that came before, only to be forgotten mere seconds later. Her eyes went wide at the questions regarding how Rick acquired the creatures he used for his lessons. "I have a very hard time seeing him doing something like that," she said, tone thoughtful, though her words came out unusually fast. "Chy! Chy would totally do something like that, he'd think it was funny. He might get them for Rick." For some reason, this thought process, and indeed this entire odd little tangent they had managed to wander off on, seemed entirely logical. "But I doubt Chy would negotiate with the things. He'd wave a gun at them and tell them to get in the boxes." That wasn't very nice... Then again, Chy wasn't very nice. What was it with that family? Did Niall get all the niceness? It was quite odd. Though Chy wasn't nearly so bad as Emmet, so she supposed they should all count themselves lucky. He was only a fraction as insufferable.
spaceShe blinked oddly. Something was off. Something was wrong. What was wrong again? She'd gotten distracted... Right! Brain, too fast, everything was too fast, and she was buzzing, too much energy in her limbs. Dancing! She should dance! That would help, that would make her move about properly! But, not here, because that would look quite odd, wouldn't it? Professor, twirling her way through the halls at this hour. No, she should... Home! She was going to go home. Because this was odd, it wasn't... But if she danced, that would help! Chris could dance with her, he was a very good dancer. And... oh! Oh, there were other things he could do that would help. Yes, she should go home. Now. Or, no, wait. She had to get Caty to her dorm first... But Caty was responsible! She'd been out after hours, sure, but that wasn't that bad. Lots of kids did that sort of thing. She'd done it all her last few years of school, to spend time with Chris. She'd even left the school grounds! Much worse than wandering the halls, that. The blonde skipped lightly, blinking at the younger girl. "Do I really need to walk you back? I can trust you to go to your dorm, can't I?" Or, alternatively, she could almost definitely trust Caty to lie to another professor and not tell them that Ada had been escorting her back to her dorm before she'd decided to go home instead. "I should go home. I'll go with you as far as the ground floor, and then you can go to your dorm and I can go home." She nodded. That seemed like a good plan. Caty wasn't a bad kid, after all. She was troubled, but she seemed alright at the moment, and Ada didn't think she was out exploring because of that, anyway. More like she was curious about the castle. Everyone always wanted to look for the cool stuff when they were supposed to be in bed. What was up with that? Why wouldn't you do it during the day? Because there were other people around, maybe? Yeah, that made sense.

✯Ƒιƒтн Ƴєαя✯Ɠяуƒƒιη∂σя✯Ƈнαѕєя✯ ✯Ƥяєƒєcт✯Ʋιcє Ƈαρтαιη✯ Gid had been having a very stressful week. Between trying to finish homework at the classes and struggling to study for all his exams, he was losing his mind. It didn't help that he was in a mass conflict with Rhys, who for a long time was his best friend. As much as Gid wanted to say their relationship was the same as usual, but ever since the moment in the library that Rhys admitted attraction, and that Gid realized his own, everything was a mess. The brunette closed the law books he'd borrowed from his dad. At least there was one class he was confident in. With a heavy sigh, he tucked the books into his bag and used his crutches to stand. He needed to get out of this dang common room. Ever since the blow-up between himself and Rhys, he had been avoiding the library. Unfortunately, the Common Room really wasn't conducive to studying. Maybe he'd try and find Jazzy and see if she could help. No way in heck was he about to ask Rhys for help. Gid pushed open the door to the hall, stepping out. Perhaps something would catch his fancy. Rhys had taken a deep breath on his way up to the Gryffindor common room. He had to. The idea that he hadn't talked to Gid after their latest blowup and his confession was eating at him like a disease, and he couldn't do that. However, the idea of him going to talk to Gid also terrified him for the simple reason that he was terrified that he had shattered whatever friendship they might have had. He didn't mean to say it, had never meant to. It was supposed to be something he could get over, and with how much he'd snogged other boys this term, he thought he could have. Truth, however, is much more devastating than fiction, since all it did was make Rhys wish it was Gid he was snogging, that it was Gid who was running his hands through his hair. His realization about his feelings just brought about something he hadn't realized that he could have had, if Gid ever felt the same. However, he couldn't, since Gid was straighter than his aunt Andi and Siobhan combined and that combined by the fact that he'd had a panic attack over him of all people and he was pretty sure that this was going to be an awful conversation.
He easily spotted Gid coming from the portrait leading to his common room and quickened his pace, biting his lip and thinking he might want to get it over with fast before he makes another mess of things. "Hey, um, Gid? Can we talk for a moment?" He was already kicking himself and wished that he had Pru or Caty or even Kenny to help out with this conversation. However, he didn't think any of them would help him with this problem, which just made it his problem alone. He couldn't help the nervousness that crept into his voice, however, and thought he might need to actually grow a spine or something because there was no way he'd be able to speak well enough and apologize for the incident in the library.

✯Ƒιƒтн Ƴєαя✯Ɠяуƒƒιη∂σя✯Ƈнαѕєя✯ ✯Ƥяєƒєcт✯Ʋιcє Ƈαρтαιη✯ Gid left the Common Room, wondering what he was to do. Of course, he was feeling a bit sorry for himself, which normally he didn't let himself do. He didn't like being pitied, most of all by himself. He was just in a mental twist lately, and it felt like he'd explode without some relief! When he was turning to head down the hall toward the stairs, he heard his name... followed by "can we talk for a moment". He paused, placing the voice to someone he wasn't sure he was prepared to handle. Calmly, the teen moved in a circle, turned to face Rhys. "S-sure... What's going on?" Luckily (sorta), Rhys looked just as nervous as Gid felt, so perhaps it wasn't going to be an angry conversation. Which was good. Well, good for Gid, as he was still working up the bravado to ask Rhys on a date. Jazzy had suggested sending him a note, but the Gryffindor didn't feel it would be close enough... but given Rhys' history of panic attacks.... maybe anything was too close? It'd be really, really hard to tell either way. He swallowed hard, nerves setting in. What really sucked is that if the conversation turned sour, Gid couldn't run. Wait... he was about three feet from his common room. ... lord nerves were making him insane. Rhys shuffled as Gid came up, asking what was going on. Oh, that was a loaded question, wasn't it? He wanted to be honest and say that the events in the library had bothered him, but he couldn't quite get that far. However, he could apologize for his actions, right? That seemed to be the easiest course he could take. Swallowing, he lifted his hands briefly before letting them fall to his sides. No, he was not going to hide behind his hands this time and hope that everything could blow over. "I, um, I wanted to apologize. For the library. I uh, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable by telling you that I had a crush. That was entirely on me. So yeah. I'm, um, I'm really sorry about that." He flushed and hoped that didn't come out as badly as he thought it could have. It certainly sounded awful coming out. Then again, he never had been a good public speaker, as in never really speaking in front of crowds. Next year was going to be a nightmare considering he was going to be the captain for Ravenclaw.

✯Ƒιƒтн Ƴєαя✯Ɠяуƒƒιη∂σя✯Ƈнαѕєя✯ ✯Ƥяєƒєcт✯Ʋιcє Ƈαρтαιη✯ Gid watched Rhys, who looked like he was debating on words. He looked conflicted, and the brunet had to wonder why. It wasn't like he'd stolen notes and started a fight, after all. When Rhys started apologizing, on the assumption he'd upset Gid, the younger teen snorted quietly. Luckily, he was noticing the way his eyes sparkled when he was nervous, or the way his lips formed letters.... He felt his cheeks warm as he looked back at the Ravenclaw. "No, I... no. Don't apologize. Actually, I've been needing to talk to you about that whole event." He sighed, hoping the ball of nerves would dissipate. He swallowed hard, trying to resume his breathing. "Rhys, right after you said that... things, y'know, clicked for me. I realized that I acted like a right git to you all last year, and I haven't been much better this one. But... I know one thing, and it's that I can't go on without you. This year has been hell without you. Rhys I... I need you in my life again. You don't even have to talk to me, okay? Just... let me try to make up for it? Make things better, okay?" He exhaled heavily, looking more relaxed than he felt. After a second, he looked up at Rhys, hoping his words were taken to heart. "Rhys, If you want, I'd like to take you to dinner this weekend. Maybe the Three Broomsticks or something? But... I'd like to start things over and maybe... maybe they'll go beyond just friendship?" He looked at the boy, suddenly feeling like his heart was in his throat. What if he said no? Or... what if he decided not to ever have anything to do with him ever again?! That or it was the feeling of faint. Oh god. Was this how Rhys felt in his panic attacks?! Rhys blinked as he listened to Gid state that he didn't need to apologize. Wait, huh? How was it he didn't need to? That made no sense. Besides, he knew for a fact that some guy walking up to another and confessing that they liked them usually left the person confessing open to a world of hurt, and yet Gid was standing there saying that it was something he didn't need to do. He blinked again as he heard Gid admit he had been a git all of last year and this. Which made Rhys feel like he had stepped into a parallel dimension. Sure, Gid hadn't sought him out, but hadn't Rhys been the git that had attacked his girlfriend?
When Rhys heard that Gid couldn't go on without him, he felt his mouth start working and his hands start spouting gibberish. Wait, he didn't just mean...? Apparently he did, because Gid was asking him to dinner and Rhys was standing there like an idiot signing nonsense and never in his wildest dreams did he ever imagine that Gid would actually possibly reciprocate his feelings. That didn't prevent his brain from picking up cues, such as Gid's nervousness and his breathing (or lack thereof) and his expression that was reminiscent of his own panic attacks. It wasn't the same, but they were there. Forcing his hands into stillness, he reached out hesitantly and laid it on Gid's shoulder and tried to recall everything he knew about how to stave off a panic attack. "Okay, Gid, first of all, breathe. Just take deep breaths. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Also look at me, and try to match my breathing."
He swallowed, hoping he was doing this right. Merlin, was he doing this right? He wasn't sure. He could be doing this all wrong and not know it. He however tried to keep his breathing even and steady, hoping that Gid caught the cues and could calm himself down. He then bit his lip, considering. "I um, I don't think I'd mind going out for dinner, but I... Um, I... What about Jazzy? I thought you two were...?" That had to be the million galleon question now, huh? As far as he could tell, Gid and Jazzy were perfectly happy. What was going on? Did he miss something, or was this just something he'd screwed up? He didn't know.

✯Ƒιƒтн Ƴєαя✯Ɠяуƒƒιη∂σя✯Ƈнαѕєя✯ ✯Ƥяєƒєcт✯Ʋιcє Ƈαρтαιη✯ Gid couldn't figure out what was going on, since he usually didn't panic under pressure. Not that he was the calmest human ever, but at least his heart didn't stop and he didn't want to faint... and his lungs didn't cease operation. He noticed Rhys' frantic movements, but he couldn't make his arm move to try and stop it. Then... suddenly, he felt a warm hand on his shoulder and heard a voice - Rhys' voice, telling him to breathe. With a tiny nod, Gid followed directions, his lungs filling up with the air he'd been neglecting. After a few more breaths, his mind resumed normal function enough for Gid to relax. He nodded at Rhys, indicating he wasn't... totally frozen up. Unfortunately, even though Gid's episode was over, his nerves weren't totally gone. In fact, they were still pretty knotted. At least he wasn't all funky in the head anymore. When Rhys said he wouldn't mind going out for dinner, Gid donned a goofy little smile. He managed to score the date after all this craziness? When asked about Jazzy, the smile drooped a bit. He coughed quietly, trying to find his voice for a reply. "Well, it was mutual, see? She wanted to date more than just me. I had on my end that... she and I are good friends, but my heart is - and I think for a while there, was... set on someone else. Someone more... well, you. But we both agreed to the break up. No one was hurt... and now I get a chance to be with someone I'd like a future with." He felt his voice returning to strength as he spoke, knowing they'd dissolved peacefully. Honestly, it was good it had ended. He was pretty sure she'd been eyeballing Lynn.... "And what about you? You still dating... whats-his-name?" He tilted his head, his usual smirk returning to his lips. It felt so good to have a happy conversation with Rhys again... And he didn't even have to break his elbow or steal notes to achieve the talk. He had been taking more and more at a time to declining benefits... Not only was he feeling worse and worse, but he was pretty sure people were starting to figure him out. Not like it was hard, even he had noticed the changes to himself. He was always tired, but he never seemed to get enough sleep. He was moody and felt like he wasn't ever going to get better. Admittedly, he had disobeyed literally every rule set before him by his doctor, but he had to try and make it through to next summer. If he made it that long, he could ask the doctors to fix him once more. For about three weeks, Gid had been pestering his mom to send him something, anything, that might be better than what he was currently taking. Thus far, he'd been rather unsuccessful. Another night, he'd have tried to hang out with one of his friends, but this time, he opted to try and rest. The young adult pushed his legs into some comfy pajama pants, then he swapped his school shirt for a casual tee. Ugh, now to sleep. He grabbed the nearly empty pill bottle on his side table, and quaffed a few back, taking a chug of water to help. It didn't take but a few hours for him to wake up, struggling for breath and in a sweaty mess. He pushed his legs and sat up, wheezing and in pain. He looked around before grabbing the bottle he'd left on his table. s**t. Shitshitshitshit! He was out?! But he didn't have a backup! The teen ripped open the drawer to his nighttable, digging through the bottles there. None. Nothing. How could he be so dim?! With a bit of crawling, he pulled himself to the edge of his bed and threw open his trunk, not particularly caring if he woke his roommates. He grabbed his wand and cast Lumos, digging deeply to try and find any remaining pills. Nothing again, meaning he was ******** Gid's head was spinning, he noticed Scoots laying on a small box. That was weird... He gently lifted his dog and set her on his pillow, grinning like a fiend when he saw that the package was from his mum. That meant... He ripped the paper off the box hastily, feeling instant relief. He struggled with the new prescription bottle, but quickly got it open. Thank Merlin alive! He dumped some pills into his hands and choked them down before flopping back into bed. Scoots whimpered, earning herself a small little pat as the teen drifted back off to sleep. Not long later, he pushed himself awake, feeling very unlike himself. An odd dizziness was swirling through him and it all made him confused and honestly a bit nervous. He looked around, brain confused as to why everything was dark and ominous. A sudden movement caused him to turn, spying Scoots looking at him. "o'ey... lil baaaaby..... wanna walkies?" He tried to keep his voice down, somehow knowing he'd be in trouble if he was caught. As he did on instinct, Gid began putting on his braces, messily on the outside of his pants, rather than hidden beneath fabric as normal. He also didn't quite notice the size difference. He stared at his feet, vaguely wondering where his missing sock had scurried off to. Oh well, not important. His house was always really warm anyway. Once his mind had decided he was all ready, Gid haphazardly put Scoots in her little cart, cooing drunkenly all the while. He pushed himself to a stand, grabbing two random crutches from his trunk. Luckily he was already tipping over, or else he'd have noticed the few inches in height difference. Somehow, miraculously, Gid tottered for the door, still cooing for his dog. Scoots looked around, grabbing the newest bottle from the floor where it had been knocked. With as much speed as she could muster, the little dog ran after her owner, wheels squeaking a bit. She didn't even mind going down the stairs, on which Gid was very, very dangerously swaying on his way down. He managed to make it all the way to the ground, but he still looked like he'd drunk a whole bottle of tequila. Defying odds, Gid managed to make it all the way out of the common room and into the drafty hallway. In his not-so-eloquent state of mind, the teen tried to reason with the chill, though his words were just a slurry of sound. Scoots growled a bit, but hurried after, hoping she'd be able to alert someone to their situation... but not with the bottle! Gid kept wandering, sweat pouring down his thinned out frame as he searched for whatever it was in his delusional mind that he was seeking. He kept wandering, leaving his poor old dog to try and prevent the idiot from falling and breaking his face.... not that he'd know, anyway. At this point, Gid had begun to laugh at the wall, swaying as he tried to figure out what was so funny about the plain stones of the school. ★ seventh year ★ slytherin ★ ★ chaser ★ prefect★ How did he end up in this situation again? After seven years of despising each other, all the mean comments and snarky remarks, all of that, here he was. Kyson Macclellan, and Contessa Linwood, snogging in a cleaning closet on the seventh floor. Sure, it wasn't an ideal place, nor was it very romantic, but it was one of the only places they could go to be alone. For the last few months, the unlikely pair had been sneaking off to be together, seeing as their relationship, if he could even call it that, wasn't public. In fact, it was very much private. As private as they could manage. In class and around school, Tessa still made her snarky remarks, while Kyson pretended not to hear them, but after everyone was gone, well... Let's just say, they couldn't keep their hands off each other. Every chance they could get away from their studies and friends (well let's be honest, neither of them really had any to speak of), they were hiding in broom closets, cleaning supply rooms, empty classrooms, even divots in the walls where they could both fit, going at each other. Kyson had to admit, Tessa was good at it. He definitely was okay with keeping their relationship a secret, at least for now, if it meant he got to make out with her like they did. It was like a new thrill, because they could get caught at any moment, which seemed to make the entire experience more enjoyable. Plus, Tessa wasn't awful to look at, in fact, she was gorgeous. Yup, he had fallen head over heels for her, which probably made her pretty happy, to be fawned over like that. At least, Kyson hoped so.
This particular night found them in the seventh floor corridor cleaning closet. Among the brooms, mops, bottles of various cleaners that were giving him a bit of a headache, the two secret lovers met. After a while, the door of the closet creaked open, just enough for Kyson to stick his head out. His hair was going in every direction except the right one, and his shirt seemed a little ruffled. The blonde glanced up and down the corridor quickly, decided it was safe for them to make their exit, and opened the door more so they could squeeze out. He stepped fully into the hall, running his hands through his hair to try to smooth it back, then he straightened his shirt, making sure his Prefect badge was straight as well. Everything seemed normal, except for the unintelligible sounds coming from further down the hall. They were abrupt, cutting through the silence like a knife. Kyson looked at Tessa with a concerned look. "I'll go check it out," he said in a whisper, hoping she would stay back while he investigated. She probably wouldn't though, knowing her, but it was worth a shot. The Seventh Year took out his wand, lighting a quick Lumos charm as he crept down the hall. If anything, he could say he was patrolling, if he was caught by another student. Stepping lightly down the corridor, Kyson was unprepared for what he would find. It sounded like a creature, but there was also a squeaking sound, like wheels? Creeping closer, he found... a student? "Reid? Is that you?" he asked into the darkness. It certainly looked like him, if not most of him. He was babbling mindlessly, while his dog wheeled around in a panic, it seemed. "You look completely hammered, are you okay, man?" Not like he cared or anything... Okay so Reid was his biggest rival, which was like a friend, right? Yeah, that counted.
Oh, baby, look what you started. The temperature's rising in here. Is this gonna happen? Been waiting and waiting for you to make a move. Got everyone watchin' us, so, baby, let's keep it secret. A little bit scandalous, but, baby, don't let them see it. A little less conversation and a little more "touch my body," 'Cause I'm so into you, into you, into you.★ x x ★ x x ★【 OOC: . . . 】

❊𝓢𝒆𝓿𝒆𝓷𝓽𝓱 𝓨𝒆𝓪𝓻 𝓢𝓵𝔂𝓽𝓱𝒆𝓻𝓲𝓷❊Tessa had been thoroughly enjoying her year, spending most of it hiding with the very guy she had always sworn was the bane of her life. Something in their pubescent fire had linked them in passionate embrace, and now they spent all their time hiding in closets and unused classrooms snogging each other senseless. They'd even managed to fit into a tiny alcove behind a tapestry once. It hadn't been great, as they'd been squished together weird, but oh well. On that particular night, the duo had migrated to the seventh floor to snog in a cleaning closet, and had been having a great time. When things started to get a bit too heated, they decided to wrap it up for the night. While Kyson poked his head out to look for oncoming people (who would be out at past midnight anyway?), she straightened up her clothes and pulled her hair back into a clip. Once he gave the all clear, Tessa followed Kyson into the hall, glancing at her watch as her heels clicked on the stone floor. It wasn't until they heard a weird, warped sing-song that they paused, Kyson whispering that he'd go see what was up. Of course, knowing she could easily get in trouble for being out, she sped up to follow behind the blonde. Violet eyes blinked in shock when Kyson's wand lit up in bright light. As they got closer, the slurried voice became louder, accompanied by a soft squeaking, all of which piqued her curiosity. It wasn't until the person came into view that she figured out what was going on. Gideon Reid, who had, all year, looked like he was becoming more and more skeletal, was standing before them, swaying on mismatched crutches. Kyson spoke first, asking if that really was Gideon. Gid stared at the people that were before him, too ******** up to try and shield his eyes from the violently bright light before him. Someone said his name, and he grinned, not even realizing who was speaking to him. "Eyyyy 'mjus 'sakin waaaaalkies...." His voice slurred and broke, the high pitch sounding ridiculous in his normally baritone voice. He swayed more than normal, nearly tumbling backwards as he giggled to himself. Tessa reached out on instinct and stood the Gryffindor upright, then looked over at Kyson when he asked if Reid was drunk off his tit. "I have no idea what he took, but it seems that it was stronger than Reid is." She snorted, watching their Head Boy as he looked lazily around, in a constant state of looking like he might at any moment topple to the floor. "Do... do you think we ought get him to the Hospital Wing? At the very least set him by his common room with a note pinned to his lapel." She looked between the two, not certain what was going on, but feeling like Reid was lucky they'd found him. ★ seventh year ★ slytherin ★ ★ chaser ★ prefect★ Kyson stared blankly at Gideon. He looked like he was about to fall apart at the seams. Did he really have a drinking problem? Or maybe, drugs? Did wizards even have drugs? Wizard drugs. The blonde shook his head, confused and unsure about, well, everything really. For one, why did it have to be Reid? If it was anyone else, he could justify helping them. But Reid. His greatest rival. The one who would never let him forget this night. Also the one who might question why he was out and about, and why Tessa was with him. He wouldn't put two and two together though, Gideon Reid wasn't the sharpest stick in the pile. For two, why did this have to happen while he was with Tessa? All of the good feelings he had a few minutes ago were gone now, a distant memory that was already fading as his brain tried to figure out what to do about the unstable Head Boy in front of him. Reid seemed to trip over nothing, or maybe he just started to pass out? Regardless, Tessa moved to catch him. Kyson hurried to the boy's side, putting his arm around the thin Gryffindor and propping him up against his body, taking most of the weight off of Tessa. She wasn't very strong, though she had a mean punch, and she was in heels. Heels that made her legs look amazing, might he add. "As much as I'd love to leave him for Pierce to find in the morning, and I mean that for real, we should take him to the Hospital Wing. He's not okay, clearly, and... I'm a little worried about him," he replied to Tessa, the last part said in a mumble under his breath. Hopefully she hadn't heard that part. Kyson tried his best to stand Gideon up, holding him up with the one arm around his back while holding tight to the Gryffindor's arm with his other hand. He walked slowly, trying to get Reid to walk but ending up practically dragging his feet across the stone floor. The Hospital Wing was on the fourth floor. At least it was all downstairs instead of upstairs.

Essie led the little lion pride down the darkened corridor of the seventh floor in the direction of the common room entrance. "We're on the seventh floor, in case you lost track back there," the blonde added helpfully, muffling a yawn. "You're expected to be in the common room or dorms by around eight every evening; if you're caught out wandering the halls late at night you will end up in a lot of trouble." She knew their house had a slight reputation for disregarding the rules, but if she could manage it, so could the rest of them. Besides, she wasn't much of a night owl, as was evident by how tired she currently was. When they reached the portrait, Essie made sure they were all watching as she rattled off, "Flibbertigibet," and led them into the common room as the portrait allowed them to pass. There's something about sadness, That leaves us wanting more. A sickness that breathes... From holding on to letting go, The change is like dying- Teach me to create a beautiful past.

Gabriella Clarity Stanford Muggleborn First Year Gryffindor People call me Gabby...
I'm 11 years old...
Location: Grand Staircase → Seventh Floor Corridor
Getting to the top of the stairs, Gabby looked around the seventh floor. It was a long way up and it seems she’d have to do this climb every day. Somehow the Gryffindor first year would manage it. Apparently there was a rule about being in the common room by eight o’clock. She didn’t think that would be overly difficult to follow. It wasn’t like she was a night owl. Besides no one said she needed to go to bed by eight, just be in the common room.
Coming to a portrait that asked for a password, Gabby looked to Essie. It was weird seeing moving portraits never mind talking portraits. Apparently the password for their common room was Flibbertigibet. Although Gabby had no idea what that even meant and found it to be quite a tongue twister, she figured she’d have to remember it. As the portrait opened, Gabby followed the leader of the group into the room.
