And Raticate, falling off Dusknoir afterward, nearly collapsed too. Aden would join Kristy in the mouth gaping, sharing the disbelief as he recalled his Pokemon.
Eventually, Ceramew joined in too, wondering what the heck just happened.
At least Sol was more composed. "So there is indeed a way to weaponize the family weirdness." He commented.
"Daddy, that's the last thing we need!" Ceramew shot back.

Eventually, Ceramew joined in too, wondering what the heck just happened. At least Sol was more composed. "So there is indeed a way to weaponize the family weirdness." He commented. "Daddy, that's the last thing we need!" Ceramew shot back. "So, Ceramew...any doubts now?" I said, crossing my arms. "Aden and his Pokemon have become pretty adept, especially when things get tight like that just there." I said. "He wouldn't have thought pulling that off months ago." I told her. Kristy made her way over towards the Dusknoir and managed to pull it up off the floor. "Are you okay?" "Nooirrr...." "Perhaps we both have thought a little too low of him..." Kristy said silently. "I'm sorry. Here. Take a rest." She said, recalling the Dusknoir back to the ball. Morty came out onto the field, gave a few slow claps. "I'm actually impressed. Now I'm really looking forward to our battle Aden. If you like, we can have it later this evening; that way you can recover your Pokemon in the meantime."

"No, no doubts... but Blizz, can you answer a question? How hard did Aden hit his head at the ruins?" Ceramew asked.
"He's got a point. I had hoped to battle him myself, see just how he's improved firsthand... I think I can safely keep the kid gloves off when I do, after this." Sol commented. "Underestimating him would be too much of an injustice."
"That might not be too bad of an idea." Aden said, nodding. "And Kristy, on those last fights, I'm seeing just how out of my league I was back then. Besides, it was a close fight, so I don't think either of us need any regrets."

She then stood back up, straightened out her dress, and regained the composure she lost. "Perhaps so." She said. "It was...fun..." she said. "Well, thats not something I hear out of her too often." Morty said. "Anyways, this evening it is then."

Ryan smiled once Aden had won. Good, but now the real challenged was waiting for him.
Ryan heads for the door right away, Ruth still nestled against him. the action hadn't been enough to keep the little dragon energized. He was now sleeping soundly.

It wasn't long before Sol and Ceramew made their way out of the gym too, both of them quiet. Aden got through Kristy, but now there was Morty to contend with later.
"Yeah. I'll be ready then." Aden said, nodding before following on out of the gym. He'd really need to make sure he was ready; otherwise, his squeaking past Kristy would be for nothing.

I trailed behind the rest, but soon caught up, namely to Aden. "Hey, Aden. You did good in there." I said to him. "Talk about pulling it out in a pinch, you know?"

This was enough to make Ceramew faceplant on the ground. "Then why'd you do it!?"
"Sis. I once put Flaaffy on top of Geodude when she was a Mareep, just for an aerial assault. I think what happened there was normal."
"Doesn't mean you're not a little crazy..." She muttered.

Sol asked. "NO!" Aden did his best to hide a smirk after that, trying not to start laughing. "Well at any rate, let's get your Pokemon patched up, Aden. Want to go by the Pokemon Center or go see Orderly back at the mansion?" I asked.

I then started my way for the Pokemon Center. I was pretty much left to think just then, to figure out what to do exactly until this evening.

The two would find Ryan already at the Pokemon Center. He was catching a bite to eat along with Ruth, who had finally stirred from his nap. Ryan was munching on a sandwich,while Ruth was eating an apple. And by the Dwarf Dragonite's reaction, this was quite the treat. Every bite elicited a happy coo from the tiny dragon once he had swallowed said bite.

As Aden went on ahead, he wasn't too sure of what to do at this point. He knew he'd need to wait a bit; not only for his Pokemon, but for the battle ahead. However, he didn't expect to see Ryan already there. "Well, you waste no time." He spoke up, before making his way to the nurse and handing over his Pokemon.
Sol and Ceramew, on the other hand, opted to head back to the mansion for now.
