Any of the Complete series, Any Quintessential, and Monster Maunal.
If you have Extended Psionic, that would be nice.

Hmm...I'm having a hard time with this. Ok, this is the familiar.
Instead of being able to summon a creature, the wizard can forge a gem out of pure arcane energy, eldritch energy. Much like the psi-crystals of Psions. This gem holds a creature formed just the same of the gem. The creature resembles a serpent with a dragons head, the head is semi-translucent and the body is mostly translucent and its color varies.
This is the familiar I've designed, it lives within the gem and can be called out by the master as he/she pleases.
Now I need to create it in terms of stats and type.
I've considered Construct Type with the Incorporeal Subtype, Magical Beast Typ. Also considering the Outsider Type, But having it constructed of the Astral essence.
