"It saved your life," Ship agreed. "I would feel duty-bound to put forth my best effort. If you need help, is Tails old enough to withstand lava? I can't imagine something like that could succumb to any but the worst flames."

"Last I checked, he enjoyed it quite a bit, actually." I said to him. "For that matter..." I thought back for a moment. "He has been wanting to have a dip in any lava pool he can get. Perhaps it might not be all that bad of an idea..."

"Heh." Ship took a swig not to hide his laugh, but to get his mind off the thought of his own falling into lava. Being a Zorua, his imagination was too accurate. "A chance for a father-son bonding moment. What would Tristen do in the meantime?"

"I wouldn't know, except...eh...maybe train, perhaps?" I asked. "Tristen has been on this tangent since shortly after we got back from our trip from saving Miles. While I am willing to help him and all, I'm just hoping that he's doing this for all the right reasons..." I said.

"I think the only wrong reasons to train yourself are because you think you're weak, or want to beat up one specific person," Ship said. "If it's a self esteem issue, it especially needs to be caught."

Requiem of Whyspers

Odd feigned a hurt look when Sub mentioned him becoming skilled. "What, so you're saying I'm not already a valuable asset?" It was obvious he was joking, just from the tone of his voice. He knew Sub didn't mean that in a hurtful way, he was just pointing out that if Odd became a skilled channeler, then he'd be even more of an asset with the new skills as his disposal.
"Oh you know what I meant." Sub said rolling his eyes. "The more skilled you are the more you can help out. But any who, I'll get right on digging around for info on a Ghost specialized channeler, I'll let you know when I find something out." The Snagem leader said to Odd.

The last few days were kept rather uneventful. Recuperating from the ordeals in Unova was a must no matter who it was, and if it wasn't that, it was a need to calm down a bit. Sol found this out quickly with Ceramew keeping to herself a little more than usual, seemingly distraught. He figured it was likely a result from happened with Victini, but he hadn't forgotten the events that were heard of shortly before returning to Unity Tower.

He also figured that she simply didn't believe the idea that one could survive something that surely would've ended a life by execution alone. She did appear to be slowly getting over it, however, which got Sol to walk out of her room for the time being. Strangely enough, he had noticed that Amaranth was a lot more talkative now. Especially towards the small Pokemon, a result of having been used to her as a thought interpreter.

For now, though, he'd leave the two to it. Sol couldn't help wondering how the rest were holding up now.

Embry walked about the base with a tired expression. He had just came back from Hoenn by Fortree City and the rain there was despicable. he thought he had a cold or something. he wasn't feeling right at all and all he could think about was when was his next adventure. He headed over to the couch with his cup of tea waiting to hear fo anything fun to do.

As Sub stood around in the main area of the headquarters he instantly spotted Embry as he made his way over to the couch. "Well then, there is a face I haven't seen in quite some time, where have you been hiding yourself?" Sub asked Embry.

Embry looked over to Sub. "I apologize once again for my absence, but I had some checking up to do in Hoenn. There seems to be bits and pieces of a story coming to life and then vanishing there and it is rather frustrating when the rain washes away ever bit of your evidence. It seems that new pokemon are showing up in Hoenn that shouldn't be there unless a new trainer is training there. However every time somebody goes to check up on it they don't come back for a few days and when they do they seem as if they've seen a ghost." Embry took a drink of his tea before continuing. "It seems to me that we're having a problem with some mind influencing pokemon, or some trainer is starting trouble just for laughs. regardless I've returned from that just to say that i couldn't find anything more than rain, running water, and really annoying kid wanting to play in the rain all day with my pokemon and I." He drank once more before stretching his neck and then smiling. "I'm sorry Sub, so rude of me. Its been quite some time. How have you been? Did the repulsion in Unova go well?"

"I could say the same." Sol spoke up, coming in from one of the halls. He overheard Sub in the meantime, and spotting him and Embry went without saying. "But, I've been relatively holed up myself recently, so I have little room to speak. How are you two?"

"Interesting, I wasn't aware such strange occurrences are taking place in Hoenn, you'll have to tell me more about that sometime." Sub said to Embry. "Regardless, after a long drawn out struggle we did indeed manage to topple Cipher's regime in Unova before it had a chance to solidify, but that's not to say didn't come close to doing so." The trainer said as he glanced at Sol. "Ah, there you are, though not too surprising, you tend to disappear and reappear at random, thankfully this time you didn't startle me." Sub said with a laugh.

"Close indeed. If I was told something like this would happen some twenty years ago, I'd never have believed it." Sol said. "As for my disappearance this time, you can blame the recovery process. Even I'm not immune to a fight as arduous as our recent one taking it out of me. Still, I didn't startle you? Perhaps I'm losing my touch." He still couldn't resist the occasional quip.

"Nah, you probably still have it, just didn't work this time because you are still recovering from dying and all, I'm sure you'll be right back to your usual suddenly appearing self before long." Sub said with a grin. "Speaking of randomly appearing immortal hybrids, how is Amaranth doing? You know, now that her life of chaos is finally over and all, I mean, her very purpose for existing is no more, that's got to mess with someone's head."

Ryan was outside sitting on a rock near a pond. His gourd was sitting next to him and Orth was in the water. He was working on understanding water chi to even a greater extent. If he could reach a full understanding of water chi, he might be able to learn a few things aside from Master Varuna.

"I jest. I'm only fortunate I didn't fall more than I had. But as for Amarath, she seems to be doing better than I expected, but it may be to keep her mind off the issue. She's been talking with Ceramew fairly often since our return, and with the hint that she isn't certain of Victini's survival or death, it may be what's keeping both of them sane." Sol explained. "But I know it can't be avoided forever. The sooner Amaranth finds another, newer purpose for herself, the better off she may be."
