Af Mas Holy s**t o.O;; I hope everything turns out okay Yeah...it sucks because we can't get to the dining halls....even if we could, they were pretty much running out of food earlier.
And it turns out, they don't have the guy contained in a building like we were first told. He's most likely out somewhere, so they're conducting a man hunt over most of the campus.

[ Grynn Wolf ] What a great way to start my first day.... Its 10 minutes int my first college course....AND THE CAMPUS IS ********' SHUT DOWN!
So a homicide suspect escaped from his police escort. He overpowered the officer and took the officer's pistol. This morning he shot another police officer just off campus on one of the hiking trails. The south side of campus and some of the street that most of the dorms are on were shut down early this morning. Apparently one of the biggest student centers was evacuated not too long ago, and there are very strong rumors of a hostage being kept. We just got an update a few minutes ago saying that the campus has been shut down. We're staying in our classroom because we'd have to walk near the student center across a very large open field.
Man...this is turning out to be an exciting day. *Sigh*
Oh, and I'm freakin' out because I can't get ahold of my roommate, and he had a class in that student center this morning. Wow...how scary, I really hope they catch him soon.

Well, my roommate's safe. They still haven't caught the guy, and if they don't catch the guy soon, I think that classes will most likely be cancelled again tomorrow.
We've pretty much been pushed out of the news rotations because there isn't any new information, but the campus is still heavily locked down. It sucks because all I have is snack food in my dorm room.....I'M SOOOO HUNGRY.

What are the odds I would hear about this from two different furs living in the same town?

Well, the dining halls were open, and actually a lot of people are outside playing games. I guess they feel safe...the cops here are definetely doing a really good job.

Aylin Mari Dakarai [ Grynn Wolf ]: Wow You make my water heater problem look small and tiny. Hope everything works out. Heh. Thanks, but I know how the hot water thing is... When we first moved into the dorms, it took about an hour with all the showers running to get hot water. Now it's a little bit easier, but we still get really big patches of nothing but cold water through the system.

Stay in areas that are safe and don't go out in the open alone...take as many potential targets with you as possible too! xp I'm only kidding. I really hope everyone is okay and stays safe. 3nodding

Otherwise I would have asked everyone in the hall if they wanted to go and get some food. xp

They could use a police k9 to track the guy from where he shot the police officer. The dogs can only do fresh scent, but that's what they do here when they have an officer shot and the person runs. or if it is aged scent, then they call our two trailing dogs

Gah. Never again. I'm talking to Alejandro (my boss) tomorrow and telling him I can no longer do back-to-back shifts. I'm just so exhausted....it was terrible today.
Last night I worked from 3-11pm. No problem, I'm used to that shift. But then I was scheduled to come in again today at 7am. Now I'm not one of those who can go home from work and just pass out. My brain's too active, and I'll toss and turn all night long, so to relax a bit I spent some time online and signed off sometime around 2:30ish...but I tossed and turned all night until around 4ish in the morning....and my alarm went off an hour later telling me to get my a** out of bed and get to work. One hour of sleep is just NOT enough. My body physically feels sick when it doesn't get enough sleep, and today it took all my will-power to stand on my feet. Carlos had to let me go out back to sit every so often, and each time I did I almost fell asleep. And then my head ached, my throat felt icky, my stomach hurt, and no temperature seemed comfortable to me. Of course, once I'd eaten a cookie things started to return to normal (all I needed was food)....but I'm still so tired...And I wanna go take a nap, but I know if I do that the same process will just repeat again later tonight...*sigh* So I'm forcing myself to stay awake. Maybe I'll go watch a movie or something, since I can't play video games...(stupid broken PS2!)
Okay, I'll stop whining now. Carry on, fellas! sweatdrop

It turns out the caught the guy around 4:30PM Eastern. So everything's back to normal on campus and stuff....but man, this was a crazy day.
