Darksol88 "Geodude, Rock Polish!" Bright, it might not be, but Geodude tried to buff himself as well as he could. It did little to reflect the light, what with the whole sentient craggy rock thing, leading to Geodude being a quick and delusional ball of hurt. "...Uh oh." Aden didn't like where this was headed, hoping Geodude would find a way to snap out of the confusion. "Alright then, Rotom! Ominious Wind!" "Rotttommm!" It went to go unleash the attack, but then stopped before firing it off. Eevee's sand attack from earlier was really getting irritating now. It ended up stopping, trying to clear the sand once again. "Ah geez...come on, fight through it if you can Rotom!"

"...how does a ghost have an issue with sand?" Aden asked, having a feeling there was more to ghost Pokemon than he thought. He was sorely regretting Geodude's lack of options, regardless. "Geodude, go for another Rock Throw."
On the flip side, he was a lot faster in getting another clump of ground to throw at Rotom. Enough that he went for a second clump to throw in the process.

Rotom still fretting over the sand in the eyes gets pelted with the dense dirt mound. "Rotom! Ominous Wind!" I shouted. Rotom finally fights through it and fires off another otherworldly gale towards the rock Pokemon. Aden wasn't the only one who's options were limited, sad to say.

Geodude was able to brace itself for the wind, but the gale was beginning to get the better of him.
"Careful, Geodude..." Aden warned, before his Geodude proceeded to throw yet another clump and take the defensive afterward.

Darksol88 Geodude was able to brace itself for the wind, but the gale was beginning to get the better of him. "Careful, Geodude..." Aden warned, before his Geodude proceeded to throw yet another clump and take the defensive afterward. This was going south in a hurry for Geodude. It was just repeating the same attacks over and over and it "Alright Aden, thats enough..." I said. "Eevee is pretty much unwilling to have at it, it looks, and Geodude is doing nothing more than throwing dirt around, and Im not sure if its because that it has nothing else or what." I said to him. I checked my watch. "We only got a short time to get you ready for Morty, so we might as well cut to the chase here..." I told him. From there all the way until sundown, training went on, trying to make every second count. Frustration, at least on my end, was prominent, not so much as Aden doing anything wrong as it is the fact that...well...I kind of hate being on the clock like this. With so many tasks that needed to be accomplished, such as getting Geodude a bit more battle versed, and Eevee at the very least confident, it puts a quite a bit of pressure being the one that is trying to train Aden. We'd barely have enough time to make it to the Pokemon Center before hitting the gym.

To Aden, there was one bright side. Geodude did get better at throwing those mounds, enough so that he could do so with some rapid succession in them.
But he did regret that he hadn't gotten to furthering Geodude's training the same way he had with the rest, and it was a little discouraging. But he knew it was something he'd have to work on doing if it meant getting anywhere.
Eventually, though, he felt the need to apologize. "Yeah, uh... sorry for the performance, Blizz." He spoke up after the training seemed to slow down.

The blue sky was a reddish-orange, with a hint of the dark blue ready to overtake the sky. I checked my watch, then gave a sigh. "We did what we could. You really are going to have to pull some really fast ones if you want any shot against Morty; more so than what you have against the last three gym leaders. Let's head off to the Pokemon Center before we get to the gym."

"Yeah... though, pulling the weird seems to be something I'm good at." Aden spoke up, thinking back to the rest of the stuff that's gone on. He followed on to the Pokemon Center, a little concerned. But as he saw it, he could've been a lot worse off than he appeared.

He followed on to the Pokemon Center, a little concerned. But as he saw it, he could've been a lot worse off than he appeared. As we made our way to the Pokemon Center, I was still trying to think on what Aden could possibly do in his situation. He was probably going to have to resort once again back to his more experienced bunch, like Raticate or Flaffy, at one point or another during the fight. Aden did in fact proverbially shoot himself in the foot for not working with Geodude more until today and just receiving Eevee probably didn't help matters. I probably should have pressed at least the Geodude issue a little more before now. I didn't for the sake of leaving Aden to make his own decisions and by that extent having him to learn to live by them, good or bad. That was practically the whole point in this whole Pokemon journey, or at least one of the points anyways. Once we finally made it in the Pokemon center, I left my Pokemon to the nurse. "Go ahead, Aden. Put them on up here."

"Right..." Aden wasted little time in getting his Pokemon to the nurse as usual, backing up a couple of steps afterward. "You know, it could be worse, the more I think about it." He commented.

He commented. "Considerably." I said. "Just try not to let it get to you. Hopefully, the whole thing won't get the better of Geodude or Eevee in particular either. We did what we could either way."

"I think they're gonna be fine. Well, maybe not Eevee. She seems even less experienced than Flaaffy was when I first caught her." He spoke up.

I said to Aden. "I'm pretty convinced that it was a pet and all of a sudden being taught to battle is probably a culture shock to it. I suppose from here on we'll just have to work on it along the way; in the meantime I suppose you'll just have to make do." After a few moments later, the nurse returned the Pokeballs, all on a tray. "Your Pokemon are good to go." The nurse said.

"That, or maybe she hatched not too long ago..." Aden remarked. "I still think she'll eventually be fine, though- oh, thanks." He didn't take long to reclaim the Pokeballs, pocketing them shortly after. "I could let her at least watch the battles or something to learn a little that way."
