Personality: Kitu is a quiet, observing boy. He takes in every detail of his surroundings much more than normal without knowing how or why he does so. For example: He'll see three pebbles lined up side by side and see that the pebble in the middle is slightly larger than the other two, while noting the distinct difference in colors of the pebbles, etc. From then on, he will remember where said pebbles are and how each looks, forever. As he grows older, this strange "gift" will begin to take its toll on Kitu, because when one remembers so much, one becomes extremely weighed down and irritated. It is unclear as to how this will really affect him mentally in the future. For a male, Kitu's voice is quite soft and almost feminine-sounding, even for the small, immature voice of a cub. He speaks in third person like his mother, because she's the one he learned speech from. It'll probably be a long time before he grows out of that, if ever. Since he spends so much time alone, you'd think Kitu is fine being by himself. In part, he is. But there's also a fear in him when it comes to being by himself. His mind begins to play with the shadows on the rocks, morphing them into dark creatures that taunt him and say cruel things to him. His mind will tell him that there are monsters outside the den, lurking there patiently for the day when Kitu dares to leave, lusting after his flesh. Because of these things, as well as his mothers unpredictable behavior, Kitu rarely sleeps. The only time he sleeps is during the few times his mother is in one of her more placid, loving moods, when he knows she's there to keep him safe. And even when that happens, he'll only sleep for a few minutes at a time, as his paranoia will begin to itch at his mind and wake him.
