The Siblings Person playing sibling 1: Chi Honda Person playing sibling 2: oh so Sweet Revenge
Name of Sibling1 (boy): Amaro'az Name Meaning: strong willed and brave. Name of Sibling2 (girl): Maiara Name Meaning: wise strong patient ruler Prompt: 2
History:The first day of their lives was during a midsummer day, the day the siblings were born. It was a brisk beautiful morning with the breeze blowing gently on their faces. Each cub stretched to the sky, smiling brightly up into their parent’s eyes. As they did their parents gently bent downward and picked them up to hold them in their one paws grasp. One cub was held by a father who appeared strong, fierce, bold, and elegant. The father had the voice of a god as he spoke the name of his daughter, “Maiara…” As soon as he spoke her name, she grabbed hold of his thick mane with her tiny paws. Slowly but gently she pulled herself upwards and nuzzled the right side of his face. Smiling as she did so, before looking over towards their mother. The young boy cub was being held in his mother’s soft and glamorous paws. She was kind, gentle, and glowing brightly like the moon. Amaro’az the young boy cub looked towards his mother with adventure showing in his eyes. He then tried with all his might to free himself from her grasp. All he wanted to do was run and run some more, and being contained like this was driving him crazy. Their mother laughed at what her son was doing, she knew he had inherited her heart of adventure. She could see inside him the cub she was when she was young. His mother knew she had to free him soon; so she looked towards her husband and nodded. Once their father received the signal they both placed down on to the ground. The cubs were one tenth of the size of their enormous parents which loomed above them. Both cubs could sense how much their parents cared for them, as they began to playfully pounce on one another. Neither one knowing how precious that day would be. A few very short months later as the heat pounded onto their furs. The family walked from their pride out into the unknown lands. They had been walking for what seemed like days. Before their parents had decided it was a good time to stop for a drink. At this time both cubs were playfully walking behind their parents. Both cubs watched as their parents ran towards the water, smiling as always. “Hey...” Amaro’az whispered to his sister as he gently tapped her shoulder with his right paw. Upon hearing her brother’s voice she came to halt and replied, “what is it brother?” he replied quickly, “I have an idea … likes play hide and chase!” As he said this a smirk was growing on his face, but on his sisters a worried expression grew. Maiara knew they had never played that game outside of their old pride. Sure it was fun running from their father, and then being captured and cuddled within his grasp. Though part of her wasn’t so sure if right now was a good time to play as she glanced towards her parents at the waters edge. “I don’t know…” Maiara replied shyly. “Oh come on don’t be such a sissy!” Amaro’az replied to his sister as he stuck out his tongue and began to run. He was now running in the opposite direction of his parents, towards the unknown barren empty lands. His sister looked towards her parents one last time before dashing after him. If only she knew that would be the last time she ever looked into her parents faces again. The problem with them just running of like that was their parents didn’t notice. Then when they did it was too late, the cubs had run too far and they had no idea which direction they had gone. Both siblings that day lost the people who cared about them most and ended that part of their past. The rest of their past was just them trying to survive in the wild alone but together. Until they met the king, that is where their old past ended and a new one began. He reminded them of their father and offered them a hand when they had no others to take. This led them to the place they are at now… Prompt: The morning was brisk and beautiful, as the sun had just begun to rise. No one sounded or appeared to be awake yet. Especially Amaro'az who had been sleeping peacefully. His spot was so comfy, and it was only a few feet away from where his sister was laying. Though right now nothing was running through his mind, but dreams of adventure. His mind was dreaming of everything he longed to try to do one day. Until he heard that dreadful call, he awoke instantly to the noise his ears picked up. His protective instincts kicked in right away as he sat up and listened. It sounded as if sometime of warning was being yelled. So he gently stood up and walked over towards his sister and nudged her with his nose. "Sister wake up..." he said quiet enough not to frighten her
Maiara sleep soundly like most of their new pride, dreaming happily of a new life with a kind, strong mate and a few cubs to call her own. A dream that most people wouldn't think this reserved lioness had but instinct made her want for it and she had no need to deny it in her dreams. In life was another thing and for now she would stay where she is needed, with her only blood family member, Amaro'az. She could see the shadow of her mate in the distance and she made to follow but she was nudge awake, and by mistake she let out a whine of disappointment. Maiara ducked her head and cover her eyes with her paw, 'not if front of my brother' was the thought going through her head but it left when she heard a cry in the distance. She made to stand, giving her brother a confused look of her shoulder. "What is going on, Brother?"
Amaro'az listened intently for the voice to call out again. He waited for a few moment but heard nothing. All he heard was utter panic outside of their resting area. "I'm not sure, I think that was a pride alert though. So we should get going," he said as he began to walk out of their area. Paw after paw walking towards the direction of where he was hearing noises at. He didn't mean to be so harsh on her but part of him was worried for her safety, even if he refused to show it. So he walked faster, glancing back only every so often to check on his sister. His mind began to wander, was this warning a chance for adventure? or was this warning of a intruder within the pride? Either way both sounded exciting and he was ready to find out what had woke him up.
The lioness stood up, only to stumble forward a bit slight bit. The calls may have awaken her mental but they did not wake her muscles like she would have liked. Maiara urged her body forward, sprinting slight as she caught up to her brother, paws padding lightly against the ground below. Amaro'az seemed a bit off today but it was probably all this chaos that started so early this day. Maiara tried her best to think of the thoughts running through her brother's head and sighed at the obvious. She ran ahead of him and swerved around to see her brother's face, yep. The lioness ran forward and butted her head against his side. "This is not some game, Az." she said in a huff, the turned around and made her way towards the voices.
As his sister ran into his side he was a pushed a little off his front feet. Since when could she ram so hard he wondered to himself. The thing that took him most off guard though, was when she opened her mouth and spoke those words. Amaro'az really didn't like when his sister could read his thoughts. It drove him mad sometimes, though what could he do about it she had a gift some would say. "I know its not Mai," he said trying to push his thoughts of adventure out of his mind.As soon as he did he raced in front of his sister and began to eavesdrop on some other members to see what was happening. He only caught a few words every so often, so it took if a bit to get the picture of what was happening. "Cubs missing..." he said quietly under his breath as he took a few steps back. Those two words were terrible to hear, especially since it reminded him of his childhood past.
Maiara sighed and followed her brother into the clearing, heading straight to his side instead of finding out from the words of others. The couple of whispered words made it to her ears and her whole body shook at the thought. She would not wish a good chunk of her life on anyone and hearing that a couple cubs had gone missing had made her feel weaker then ever. Maiara tried to move closer to her brother but her knees buckled and she feel forward. "There has to be something we can do, Amaro'az." She said in a broken tone before covering her eyes with her paw.
Amaro'az quickly reached out his front left paw and caught his falling sister. He supported her with his strong paw, until she could get her balance back. "Be strong," he whispered to her before continuing to answer her question,"We'll go and explore our lands forest until we find them." He wanted to just say him instead of the both of them, but if she didn't come along he couldn't keep an eye out for her. So who knew what could happen to her, so that was when he decided she must come with. While his plan wasn't truly perfect, it fit his main goal. In which he only had one goal and that was to save the lost cubs. He wasn't about to let these cubs end up as lost as they had, the day they lost their own parents.
The lioness did her best to stand, hiding her feelings behind a mask of indifference but on the inside she felt horrified. She nodded her head an started to follow he brother in silence, what more could she do. With everyone searching there was a good chance they would be found but what if something unspeakable happened. "What if we don't find them?" She voiced, her tone cracking as she spoke and her mask broke knowing no one was around but her brother. Maiara's eyes watered, she was young but it was for this reason that she didn't mate, not until she knew they would never have to part with this pride, not until she knew they where all strong enough to take care of the cubs. Sure, mistakes happened but she couldn't imagine what the mother of these cubs was going through, what her mother had gone through.
He quickly shook his thoughts of his parents out of his mind. Since after all it was his fault they lost their parents in the first place. He quickly pushed the thought back into the deep depths of his mind. Those thoughts wouldn't help them in searching for the cubs after all ... or would it. When that thought came to his mind he looked towards his sister. As Amaro'az looked he could already see his sister was hurting greatly. She always tried so hard to cover up her feels but it never worked. If only she knew how strong she was already, having gone through what they had as cubs. They had to work so hard just to survive. So as she started crying he stopped and took his left paw and wiped her eyes. "We'll find them and we won't stop until we do," he said strongly, "From what I heard from the others. I think they are just searching for their parents, and scared. So when we were in their place, what did we do?"
"We tried to head back." She said in answer to her brother's question and sniffed. They had tried very hard to head back to a place they had once been but it hadn't worked in their favour seeing as they where already to far out. Hopefully the cubs hadn't made it to far away. Her mind wander to the lioness that was probably worried and frighten. "I want to head back." She said in a strong tone, it would not help no one to wander around and get lost themselves. More experience hunters where making their way around the area, they might only get in the way. Maiara believed she could help keep hopes up where they were low.
"That's it!" Amaro'az said excited, "I'm betting they went back to where they last saw their family together." The more he thought of it the more he realized that would make perfect sense. A place were the cubs could remember seeing their whole family together. Every cub remembered those places well, when they were young especially. That had to be where they were at,he thought, as his heart began to burn bright. A fire had lit up inside of it, telling him this was just the adventure he had always waited for. "but sis we're the only ones in this whole pride who know what they are thinking. The others don't stand a chance of finding them like we do. Just think if their frightened you can help to calm them with your kindness and raise their hopes," he said kindly and caring towards his sister with his best strong smile. She always was best at bring about a good mood for others, no matter what situation or how bad things were for the person.
Though his sister said nothing more, as she continued to follow him. He knew she felt the same way he did. All she wanted was the cubs save, and even she knew he was right. If anyone could find them it would be the two of them. The ones that knew exactly how the cubs felt, all lost and alone in such a big pride with no one to cling too.

The Stranger Username: hibi-tea Name of The Stranger: Jua’jicho Name Meaning: Sun Eye Prompt: 2
History: Jua’jicho’s origins are unknown, even to himself. One day when he was an adolescent he woke up in a desert, no life to be seen around him. For several days he wandered with no food, no water and no sign of other life forms around him. Quickly he became dehydrated, delirious and began to suffer from hallucinations. He’d lash out at things that weren’t there; imaginary attacks from lions that didn’t exist but only in his mind. It didn’t take long for the dehydration, starvation and exhaustion to cause him to slip into a comma, and the final thoughts racing through his head before sleep took hold were proclamations of his own demise.
It seemed like eternity till he had finally awakened, a brown and red young lioness standing over him with a look of concern painted on her face. He thought he had died, and was now in heaven. The lioness standing over him was obviously the angelic spirit sent down to comfort him in his time of need and to usher him into his eternal happiness.
The first words he had heard from this lionesses lips were “Ghost”, a description of his coat and his mysterious appearance. When he regained his strength he asked his angelic hostess where his heaven was and she looked at him strangely, professing to him “This is not heaven.” And his heart fell. He was not in heaven? Had he not died? “Than why did you call me Ghost?” he asked, his face wrought with pain at his realization. She had replied, “Because you are one. You had died, and came back to life against all odds. You are a ghost.”
This information hadn’t registered in Jua’s mind for some time, and when it did he found himself angered and confused. Ghosts were the dead bound to the earth forever to walk it. Why was he bound to the earth? He found himself wandering once again, farther and father away from the den of the lioness who had found his lifeless body. He hadn’t even asked her for her name, or his for that matter.
Jua’jicho wandered like this for months, going from adolescence to adulthood on his own. He was a Ghost and yet he hungered. He was a Ghost and yet he thirst. He was a Ghost and he became lonely and sought the company of others. The others saw him and often they ran at his ghostly appearance. But when he found the group, the ones who headed to the Suka’Fumo they did not give Jua a second glance. They passed by him and he decided to follow long. If they didn’t mind him, why not join him? One day one of their little group asked his name and he told them he didn’t have one. He was than given one, Jua’jicho, for his eyes. He told them the story of his death and his comeback from death and didn’t speak a word after that. He was a Ghost, his opinions didn’t matter to the living.
Prompt:
Jua’jicho knew why the rest of the pride members looked at him so oddly, so distrustfully, so anxiously. It had taken him some time, but he figured out why after several days. His secret had slipped in passing. The Suka’Fumo knew they had a Ghost in their pride, a quiet Ghost whose name was not even his own, but instead assigned to him so he had a name to go by. A Ghostly lion who couldn’t even tell you his own name; it spelled bad things to everyone and Jua knew it.
Mother’s would usher their children away from him. Grown males would not cross his path, and even the Fairy Folk looked at him with a distrustful gaze. It was lonely, but he was being punished. Or at least that was his only conclusion. How could someone who had died come back to life to walk eternally as a Ghost unless they were being punished? He was like the omen of omens and it bothered him so.
I will never have a normal existence, Jua thought to himself as he avoided the gaze of the pride in his efforts to find a hiding place in some dense brush, A Ghost cannot have friends, for a Ghost is cursed and no one wants their curse.
Only the cursed could understand the cursed. Only happiness would come from someone equally as cursed as himself. He didn’t fault the pride members for their suspicion and anxiousness around him. If he had been them, he to would be spooked by himself. How could someone not know their own name? Where they were from? It was abnormal. He was abnormal. Which was probably why he was a Ghost…

The Leader Username: Hotaru-Neko Name of The Leader: He was named Roshan at birth, but after separating with his mother has adopted the name Citro. Name Meaning: Both mean bright Prompt: 1 & 2 History Born by two nomadic lions in a moment of weakness, Roshan has not often called one place home for very long. He traveled with his mother for most of his cub hood, enjoying the sights and sounds of a life unhindered by pride loyalties or bloodlines-- And apparently so did his mother.
Everything the young cub knew came to halt when Roshan woke up one morning to find his mom had vanished. He never found out for certain what had happened to her, but his gut feeling had always been that he had been abandoned.
For a short while, he believed his mother might come back for him, but when his stomach could go no longer without food the harsh reality was that regardless of how she disappeared, she was gone for good. Roshan was far too young to fend for himself, but his survival instincts served him well and he never once doubted that he could make it by himself. Although his naive thoughts kept him going, his first month of independence was miserable; encounters with aggressive full-grown lions, weakness from lack of food and water, and the natural elements took a great toll on the cub.
With experience, and a little bit of luck, he began to learn how to hunt and take care of himself. In a few months time, he grew into a confident and healthy adolescent and was perfectly happy traveling on his own.
One day as he took down a decent sized antelope, another male around his age approached him. He was psychically a rather lanky fellow with a meek demeanor overall. His speech was broken as well, as though he was from a far away land. He told Roshan about how his own mother had recently abandoned him without teaching him a thing about hunting. He hadn't eaten for days and begged the stranger for a piece of meat.
The golden colored lion gave him a nod to come join him, and watched as the other lion quickly devoured as much food as he could fit in his mouth. Roshan gave where he could whenever he was asked for help, but there was a warmth in his heart after helping someone else who had found himself in such a similar situation to himself.
"Thank you so much, Citro" The stranger grinned after taking his last bite, his tongue running across his muzzle.
"Citawhat?" Roshan tilted his head, had this lion mistaken him for someone else?
"That is what we call light pelted lions back in my home lands, It means Bright."
The golden colored male looked down at his pelt and laughed. Roshan was a rather stuffy sounding name after all and this was the perfect time to reinvent himself. "Citro it is."
The two got further acquainted, and became traveling partners. For the most part his companion was a burden to him, unskilled in hunting or foraging. And while he very much enjoyed his life of freedom, he wouldn't have left his new friend to fend for himself no matter what the circumstances.
Further along in their travels, they began running into younger orphans and Citro took them in as well. Many came and went; even his dear friend who had given him his nickname departed when they got close enough to his old pride land. It was a bittersweet job, but he was there to help them in their hard times after all, and once they could fend for themselves he could understand their readiness to take on independence once again. There were always a few loyalists who would stay with him as a way of repaying their debt to Citro and help take care of the new members of the group. He didn't just take in the young though; he took in lions who had gotten banished from their pride lands and the sickly as well.
He took his job as their guardians very seriously, but the group had grown large as of late. Perhaps worst of all was the strange lioness who had taken in cubs of her own without Citro's consent. The behavior was suspicious, but Citro liked to give others the benefit of the doubt.
He had made the hard decision of heading towards a pride, one he heard of that would welcome outsiders.
Prompt: (I'll be starting the prompt at the point where he meets the strange lioness) "Think life in the rogue lands has been hard up to now? It gets worse. The good news is you don't have to do this by yourself." A lion with a pelt as bright as the sun began his usual recruiting routine on a young lioness. He wasn't entirely clear on her history or how she found herself alone, but what he did know was that regardless of her past she was now destined to belong with him and his ever growing coalition.
With only a little more persuasion and the promise soon having a pride, the lioness realized that joining up with them could mean the difference between life and death.
"Okay Citro, I'm in." She nodded in agreement before smiling at the other members who had been patiently waiting on her decision and all seemed pleased to have her join.
"There is one thing..." The lioness had adopted a young cub who was also alone, she explained, then motioned for him to come out of some nearby brush. At first it seemed a bit suspicious that the female didn't disclose this information in the first place, but Citro insisted that it was not a problem and his offer extended to her adopted son as well.
During their travels to the Suka'Fumo lands, the lionesses behavior became more secluded and it seemed like every time Citro would turn his head she would have another cub with her. This was usually fine with him, but nobody had ever done it without asking his permission first. Still, what had been done was done, and soon they would all have a pride to call their own. Hunting wouldn't be a problem, nor would their growing numbers. Citro was a tad nervous about staying somewhere permanently and having to live under the rule of a stranger. At the very least he would be able to go out into the rogue lands occasionally and find more lost souls to bring "home".
Finally they reached their destination and their introduction into the pride seemed to go well. There was a hierarchy in the pride that he hadn't been informed about; something about purple pelts could give one a higher rank. But while a few lions made a big deal about it, the pride seemed lax in their requirements otherwise and Campanil Forest was just how he imagined it to be. The Groundlings who inhabited it were nothing but hospitable to them and welcomed them with open paws.
As the band settled in, Citro was pleased with his decision. Everything seemed to be going smoothly, and a sense of relief filled the lion. He knew they would be safe here, and he could let his guard down a bit more than he usually could. Or at least he thought as much.
"Citro!" A female who had been treavling with him for quite awhile seemed distressed to disrupt his moment of peace.
"I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that lioness... she's gone."
She did not have to say anymore. The male knew exactly who she was talking about. It had to have been that lioness that had joined not long before their arrival here and still managed to collect a small army of cubs along the way.
"The cubs." Citro gasped and looked into the eyes of his friend. There was a fearful look in his eyes, as though he was afraid to find out what had happend to them. They may have been brought in by that female, but chances are if Citro had crossed paths with them he too would have taken them in just as quickly.
"We can't find them." She spoke in a somber tone and looked down at her paws.
Citro got onto his paws and darted away in a panic, keeping a look out for any small figure in sight. As he ran deeper into the forest, all he could think about was the pain he felt from being abandoned by his mother at such a young age. All of the cubs she had adopted had already been through that once, and this lioness had the nerve to do it to them again, and right under his nose?
Every part of him wanted to run after her. He didn't know what he would do if he met her; force her to come back and take care of them? Citro quickly realized any more time spent on that lioness was time wasted on finding the cubs and making sure they were safe. He ran through unfamiliar lands for hours without once finding any trace of the cubs, and all the while was worried that he had gotten himself completely lost.
He had run into the forest without any idea of where to look, and felt as though he was running in circles. With a look of defeat on his face he emerged from the brush to a place near the dens of the groundlings. Suddenly he raised his head and saw all the lions around him; he was a Suka'fumo lion now after all. Many of them had lived here all their lives and knew the forest well, and this made them the perfect candidates to help find the cubs.
Citro took a deep breath, getting ready to shout out an order to search before realizing that he was nobodies leader here. The ruler Bwana, that lofty fellow he had only just met, seemed very kind. Surely he would be able to spread the word much faster than himself, who had few connections yet. With a second wind he darted off once again, as quickly as his limbs would take him towards Elsinore.
