The sound of a birds chorus caused Mokubas eyes to twitch softly. And sunrays entering the large entrance did not help matters much. Letting out a small grunt, he pushed his eyes open. Taking a few blinks so his vision cleared from all the sleep dust which rested in the corners of his lids. Awaking to a warm trenchcaot covering his body, along with his brothers scent. So waking up was not as bad as it could have been. However, it did not take long for Mokuba to notcie that something was missing. As he looked over to Jou he started to worry, Seto was not there either.
Quickly standing from his position, he rushed toward the light of the entryway. His worries melted away once he saw his brother laying in the middle of the meadow, replacing fear with confusion. He wondered what his brother was doing outside, could his brother have been sleepwalking? It was a new sight to him, he had never seen Seto move in his slumber. Placing the thoughts behind him, he headed over to meet up with his brother. Seto looked dirty and it seemed he was outside for quite sometime. Since the morning dew also came from the rain last night and he seemed to have slept out there for half of the night. After taking his hand, he lead him back.
"Man Seto, you must have been out there all night. Come back in and get under your coat." he commanded.

Soon enough, Jou opened his eyes meeting with a glowing cave. The morning sun had made its way into the creves and shimmered off the small dropps of rain still clinging to the roof of the cave. It was a nice sight to see, especially after such a disaster. Disaster, that made him remember, Serenity. Sadly enough, looking behind him proved to him it was not some sick dream, her blue face said it all. His eyes softened, his heart tugging at his chest. Turning his body over, he faced his younger sister, fighting not to cry.
After taking a few moments of silence, he sat himself up. He had to get to buring her before her body got horrible and start to become a nuisance. Before getting to his feet he spotted Seto in the cave. The male was drentched from head to toe, he wondered how that happened. Though it was the last thing he was worrying about. Finally standing up, he picked up Serenity in his arms and made his way out of the cave, trying to attract as little attention as possible.
It was not long before he started digging, though all he had were his hands. Tears fell from his cheeks, realizing this would take forever and looked pathetic. Once he gave up on digging like a dog, he started to gather some rocks. Covering Serenity in a sterdy grave seemed to be the only thing he could do at the moment. Times like this made him feel so weak, and wishing he was home.

Much to Seto's surprise, Jou wasn't where he'd left him. In fact, serenity--who was in fact a corpse--wasn't where he'd left her either. Now, he knew for sure that Serenity couldn't move on her own so Jou must have carried her somewhere. Somewhere to be alone with her probably...But when had they gone?
'Were they there when I came in? Damnit, why didn't I ignore Duke and check right off the bat!? ...Or better yet, why in the HELL do I care!?' His mental frustration was so strong that he wanted to physically stomp his foot or throw something. Instead though, he just looked down at his little brother and sighed.
For once in his life, he felt indecisive and somewhat helpless. "We should go and see if there is anything we can salvage from the plane..." he said to his little brother. They were able to carry just the suitcases off with them, but one never knew what else they'd find. With any luck, they'd find something they could use to survive. Maybe the plane was carrying cargo of pots and pans or maybe guns for hunting. They had waterproof matches, but Seto knew that they'd soon run out. Flints would be nice... though he'd never actually used them. He'd read about it but since he was so busy reading about it, he wasn't able to enter cub scouts as a child.
'Hn, thanks a lot you ignorant b*****d,' he thought to Gozaboro. -- On the way back to the plane, he kept his eyes open for Joey. After walking slowly with his brother around slippery slopes for a while and not seeing the blonde or his sister, he began to get a little worried. His worries showed on his face and were obvious in his actions because he lifted large leaves a lot more, and took more time squinting into the hellish Eden that they'd crash-landed into.

Soon, Serenity was half way covered in numerous sized rocks. Jous eyes stared dead as he placed hard cold rocks all over her fragile body. Apart of him felt as if he was crushing her, though it no longer mattered anyway. The more he covered her, the more a piece of him was dying with her. It was almost as if a part of him was being buried next to his sister. He had stopped crying, his eyes could not bare to preduce anymore sorrow. This left him in a numb state, letting his body shield itself from the pain of his grief.
After what seemed like forever, she was covered. He took the time to add a more square shaped rock upon the piles crown. All he could do was stare at the grave in despair, and now that it was all over, he felt like curling up and dying beside her. Then, a small chuckle left his dry lips, this was pathetic. This feeling of wishing for death to come and take him, it really made him question his strength. Maybe, just maybe, he was not as strong as he had thought. But how could he survive without the one person that mattered most to him. The reason for all of his dreams and ambitions, his reason of life. All he wanted was to move away with his sister and start a new life, protecting her was all he had. Now what was there to have?
Then, rustling from a distance caught his attention. As he turned to face the thing creating the desturbance, he spotted the Kaibas. It seemed as if they were looking for spare items for their survival. He could not take his eyes off Kaiba for some reason, his gaze was stuck. Almost like a young boy looking his idol dead in the eyes, or maybe not. The feelingwas uncertain, but he was not even sure if it mattered. Since there seemed to be no point to staying where he was, he made his way over to the plane.

Seto stood a little way back from the aircraft awed by the damage. The chasse looked like a pit bull's face--all creased and crinkled like it was. It appeared to be on it's back and the wings had broken off somewhere else on the island that they were on. The roof had fallen in from the weight of the water and trees so it created a sort of pond where it had sunken in. He doubted that he could even crawl into the cabin. luckilly, since it was upsidown, the cargo hold was now on the top--where it'd crunched from the trees.
The trees themselves were bent over the white plane, the branches punching in through windows and needles and leaves covering the entire exterior like a facial mask.
"Somehow, we'll have to clear those boughs," he said to his younger brother. "But... Even with all of us... I'm not so sure... it looks really heavy..." An entire tree... it was an impossible thought.
He heard Mokuba moving from behind him but when he turned to watch him come closer, he realized that his brother was standing right next to him. What was that sound then? Another survivor? Were they dangerous or... He stared deep into the jungle where he thought the sound was comming from. Slowly, a figure started to form. Seto squinted, trying to make out who it was.
"Jonouchi!? What in hell?! Where have you been!?" he exclaimed upon recognizing the figure. "Where is Serenity? God damn it, a man doesn't go walking off when just the night before he was sputtering nonsense about suicide! Jesus Christ, Wheeler!" Seto wasn't sure why he was saying the things he was. He sounded like he was scolding the other to a point just shy of admitting that he was worried about him. 'I wasn't... ' he tried to convince himself.
When Jou was standing right in front of him, he didn't know if he wanted to hit him for making him search for him or hug him because he'd lost his sister--and that he'd returned himself safe and sound.
In the end, he just crossed his arms and began to stare at the other in such a manner, it was like he was daring him to say something to explain himself.

Mokuba looked up to see Jou coming toward them. He was about to show he was glad to see he was alright, before his brother stepped in. All he could do was watch as his brother unleashed the angry tone onto an already hurt man. But, he seemed to reconize that tone, Seto was not mad. That was the tone Seto got when Mokuba had stayed after at school without telling Seto, his brother was worried. Obviously he was the only one who saw it, Jou looked like he was about ready to crawl in a ditch and hide.
"Seto lighten up, hes already hurt enough. I dont think he needs you yelling. The point is he's alright, that's all that matters." Mokuba said holding his brothers wrist softly.
Jou just stood there, taking Setos blows like his fathers fists. His eyes just stayed focused on the ground, his insides acheing all over. He refused to cry because of Seto, but it seemed hard to keep it in. Seto was hurting him more then he thought he could, but he was already sore because of Serenity. Mokuba coming to his rescue helped a little, but he still stayed quiet until the elder was finished with him.
"I..I just went to bury Serenity...I didn't want the others to get all worked up and sad about it. So I went out trying to not cause a comotion." Jou explained.

Mokuba stared up at his brother like he had spat a curse word after telling him he could not. It was not as if he didn't care for Jou, he had been a little worried. After all, they needed as many people as possible to help in all of their survival. The problem was that his brother was lying, and worse, holding in his feelings. He hated when his brother did things like that, but it was not to much of a surprise. Plus, this was Jou, someone Seto always acted that he hated. No one would tell someone they picked on that they actually cared for they're well being. So, there was not much to say, so Mokuba said nothing.
"I'm...going to go look at the plane, see if I can find anything." Mokuba replied trotting off.
He knew that it was going to be a challenge getting to the plane, and he was probably not going to be able to get inside. But going into the plane was not his plan, he just wanted to give his brother some time with Jou. Jou was in a bad state, and he needed someone to be around him. And after the crash, he seemed to be quite clingy toward Seto. Besides, this would also get his brother back fro placing him on the spot.

"Wha... Mokuba!" Seto called. Mokuba only glanced back at him with a smile and Seto knew what was going on. It was quite obvious that neither he nor Jou would be able to fit inside of the plane. Also, if he called Mokuba back it would be all to obvious that he was afraid of what to do alone with Jou. He replaced his two word command (Come back!) with another one. "Be careful!" His younger sibling nodded, his grin seemed to grow larger, but seto couldn't be sure. "I mean it!"
He would have watched his brother get closer, but Seto two things: 1. Mokuba valued his life and WOULD be careful, and 2. he'd get as far out of their sight as possible. Or, he should if he was going to be inside the plane itself. An akward silence settled between Seto and Jou as they just looked at eachother.
Instead of saying anything, Seto moved over to where a patch of sun stretched accross the grass. He felt cold because all of his clothing was still pretty wet, so the sun seemed welcoming to his skin. 'A chance to dry off a little...' He caught the bottom left corner of his shirt with his right hand and pulled it off with ease. Then he rung it out before him. The water curled over his hands and dripped into some shady grass. The stream was thick at first, but then it seemed quickly to be nothing more than just a few drops. After shaking the shirt out again, he drooped it accross a bush that lay in the light beam. Then, he sat down and layed back in the light, looking at the green leaves dance above him in a very light breeze.
After not hearing Jou say anything for a while, Seto began to wonder if he was still there. "Hey, Come and sit with me," Seto said after he'd heard nothing from Jou.
