((wooo... i love this! makes me want to cry.. which is great! that means it's really good. you ever watch an anime series called Kare Kano?))
Pulirium blushed even more. And, these tiny tears filled her eyes. They weren't tears from sadness, but from relief and the feeling of finding something special that's for one's self. Being an angel whose life's work up till then had to make other people happy and bring them joy. It was a new feeling for happiness to be for her. It made her feel humbled and clean. She started to feel all embarrassed however for crying in front of him. She tried to wipe the tears away. She then too began to wonder how long they had been climbing down these stairs. Maybe it had only been a few minutes, but this span of time felt infinite. In fact, the space from where they had that exchange and the door to the winepresses seemed even further. The surrealness of it made her feel a little dizzy, so she put her hand on the side of her face and made this silly smile. "You must think I am completely ridiculous." She floated over to the door. It was heavy, and she could smell the odor that comes from the walls and wood from being underground where it was chilly and dark. She wondered at such an event would take place in her life. Here she came today, to a big temple just for no particular reason other than to learn about who lived there. And, she met a god only wanting to help make him feel better and lighten his heart. What had really happened? Something was starting that she could hardly perceive or fathom.
It was all so much. It was all flowing and building up. Emotions which had previously never been hers seized her. Her eyes moved towards him. She stopped floating or walking and turned to face him. "Then, I shall stay." She wrapped her arms around his neck and laid her head into his shoulder. She wondered if it would be too forward of a thing to do so sudden and early. But, he seemed just the type of person who was too much inside himself and needed greater displays of emotion or affection. She hoped it would bring his inner truth towards the surface. She could almost smell the real deeper him.

((lol. and no i haven't. but i think i've heard of it.))
Red chuckled lightly under his breath as she cryed a bit. His ear twitched a few times makeing the vine wrapped around it rustle softly. Watching her for a moment, his eyes lidded slightly as he ran his fingers through his dark purple hair. "No, I don't think you're ridiculous. I think it's nice that you express your feelings so openly." His tail flicked a few times as he stepped off the stairs and stood there as she walked over towards the door. Blinking a few times as she wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned her head on his shoulder, he was at a slight loss of what to do. He had seen his parents hug a few times like this whenever he was around them and tried to remember what it was that they actually did. Slowly, he placed his paws on the small of her back and sighed lightly. Not sure if he was suppose to or not. Never in his life had he been so unsure of something. But all this was new to him. Its not like he hadn't hugged anyone before, or held anyone. It just was just usually his parents and his sister.

The intensity of it was swallowing her up. Her heart was just too ill prepared for these types of feelings... so raw, so untamed. She lifted her head up a little, still holding on to him, and she didn't move her entire body as to not cause his arm to move. Noone had really touched her like that. It was nice. It made her feel warm. A meek grin she wore. Her eyes looked up at him, and it seemed to her that all the world had just fallen away. It felt like they had stepped out of space and time.
She started to think if he ever had any friends. She hadn't really ever had anyone. She didn't even have family or friends. She had some acquaintences. But, she didn't often consider some of them to be actual friends, as many seemed to only like her because of what she was and not who she was. Then, another idea started to roll around in her mind. Serendipity.

Red blinked for a moment as she drew back a bit and looked down at her, his paws still placed gently on the small of her back. He really hoped he was doing this right and wasn't makeing a complete fool of himself. If White had been here she'd probably be giggling up a storm. How he missed her. But his mind wandered back to Pulirium and he smiled slightly, wondering just exactly was going on inside that head of her's.

She felt like she should say something, but what was there to say. What could she say? She didn't know what to do either... Maybe move into the winepress room. But then again, she felt like she was experiencing something that she didn't want to stop; and yet, because it was so great. She was nervous if it didn't stop what she should do. She didn't pull away though. She couldn't, at least not yet. She just clinged tigher, and she put her head back on his chest. The rush and excitement of rollercoasters.. when people hang on tight because they feel like they might pop up out of their seats. Still, it was rather unlike her to be at such a loss for words or what to say or do. She always knew what to say. "What if we got stuck like this?" she said softly. It was hardly more than a whisper. It felt to her like even speaking in this moment was stealing all her breath away.

Red chuckled again at her comment and looked down at her as she leaned her head against his chest. He pat her on the back lightly then placed his paw over top his other one on the small of her back. "Well, then it would be pretty weird. I mean, walking around with one another stuck together all the time. We'd probably get sick of being around each other so much. Or not. I don't know." He looked towards the door and had a feeling they wouldn't be going through it anytime soon.

"Yeah... I don't know either. I mean... I don't think I've ever been around any one person long enough to know what it feels like to be sick of someone or to have them sick of me. I can't say that I've ever been personally connected with anyone before." She wasn't sure that was such a good thing to share with anyone. It might make them think she was a dork or a loser. It might make them wonder if she was so unvalued by others; perhaps it would make people who knew that not want her as well. Because while she longed to bring joy to the life of others, she always longed for a feeling of belonging somewhere. To feel cherished or important to someone, she yearned for someone to want her. It felt like such a gamble to be so open and vulnerable like this.

Red smiled lightly and shrugged a bit. "Well, I've been around my sister for a long time. And I haven't gotten sick of her yet. So....I think I wouldn't get sick of you either. I don't know how I could really." His tail flicked back and forth as he looked down at her. He could tell what she was feeling. She was feeling like she wanted a place to belong, a place to feel welcome. Just from the way she talked he could tell. But then again didn't all liveing creatures wish for a place to belong and be loved?

Her hands loosened and fell to about just above his elbows, though still clinging to him. Was it even right to cling to a god? It wasn't like he had asked her to. But, so far he hadn't refused her, and his initially suspicious demeanor towards her had softened away as well. ".... thank you....." It was the only thing she could think to say. A dam inside had given way, and she felt this wave of emotion sweeping her away. It was like she fell into a river of her own insecurities. Thus was a reality of such honesty. Did this please him? She knew her motives and her desires. But, now, she needed to know what it would be he wanted of her. Would he want? She hoped he would. To be in a moment like this, she felt she needed an anchor. Her legs went numb like rubber, and she suddenly found it hard to even stand up. Her legs were giving way, making her start to fall.

He frowned lightly as he felt her starting to fall and quickly caught her, his arms tightening around her waist a bit. Lifting her up, he held her against him so she wouldn't fall again. "Are you ok? Are you not feeling too well or something? Maybe we should go somewhere else and let you rest for a while. This place is a little dark and damp and could make anyone feel a bit woosy by being down here too long." His eyebrows furrowed slightly as he looked down at her. A bit of concern showed in his eyes.

"I..... I'm not sick.... I just... I don't know. Maybe I should just sit down for a little bit.." When he pulled her closer, she could feel his breath. Ideas and fantasies were swaming her mind. So many things she had never felt before. It was just so unreal to her. Then she spoke up a little, "But, do we have to leave? It just seems if we did anything right now. It might make us lose this moment, and this moment seems so surreal. If it were to pass already, I might feel like I've been in a dream." She looked up and into his face, into his eyes.

Red smiled and nodded his head. "Well...I'm glad you're not feeling ill. That would be a bad thing as I'm not sure if anyone around here really knows how to take care of someone sick." He looked down into her eyes and sighed lightly. With his support, he pretty much carried her a bit towards the bottom of the stair case and sat her down. Then he joined her on the same step and watched her closely.

She started to just stare at him for a little bit. "Um.. do you think you would pinch me? I just want to be sure that this isn't all some kind of dream. Nothing like this has ever happened to me before." She waited. She then tried not to keep staring, but she just couldn't help it. She felt like she was on the edge of waiting for something she wasn't sure what she was waiting for.

Red blinked for a moment and raised an eyebrow. "Ok, but don't get mad at me because you asked me to." Reaching out, he pinched her cheek then leaned back slightly looking at her. "So? Are you actually awake or are you still in a dream?" His tail hung over the front edge of the step he was sitting on and he leaned his elbows on his knees as he leaned forward onto them.

It stung a little, but she was physically tough for how emotional she was. She held the spot of her cheek where he touched her. "I guess I'm not asleep..." She scooted closer to him. "Does being alone with me make you feel.... different?" She was feeling a little different. Actually, she felt really different. She had never had physical chemistry with anyone before, so this was all new to her. Her openness and boldness were bouncing back; they made her want to do something. But, it would be a scary something.
