...so my maiden name is Wilber, but at some time in the past we were Wilbert. UNTIL some distant relative stole some horses. Keep in mind that back in the horse thievery was a big deal. Well one side of the family wanted nothing to do with the horse thieves, so one of the sides (I'm not sure if it was the guilty party or the innocent, I'll guess it was the thieves) dropped the t. And now we're Wilber.

If you knew my family, you'd know how fitting it is for us to have horse thieves in our lineage. rofl
