Hmm... Speaking of tractor beams:
In ANH, when the Falcon was being tractored, why didn't Han just do what just about everybody in the EU has doen at least once, and Jettison the spare parts cannister? Did the Falcon not have an easily jettisonable cartridge or anything? Sounds like poor planning on Han's part.

The Falcon carries her spare parts inside her hold within easy access like every other privately owned Freighter in the galaxy.
Edit: Even if Han did have spare parts canisters to jettison, One must remember that the Death Star Tractor beams are capable of towing in Star Destroyers. Thats more than enough to suck in whatever the Falcon Drops in its wake along with the rusty old bird.

I did go to the libary and did get ANH, and ESB.
