* Yiff (also Yiffing, Yiffy, Yiffed)
Yiff carries with it the contextual meaning of the word ******** when pertaining to sex.
Example: "The tiger was ******** the wolf."
"The tiger was yiffing the wolf."
Similarly, one could say "The wolf was yiffed by the tiger."
Yiff does not, however, carry with it the contextual meaning of the word ******** when used as an expletive. One would not say "This is yiffed up," as opposed to "This is ******** up."
In addition, yiff can by used as an adjective in the form of yiffy. If a person is yiffy, this means they are sexually aroused or horny. A yiffy pose or piece of artwork means the object in question is erotic or sexual in nature.
Misconceptions: Yiffy art may be pornographic in nature, but the word yiff, as a noun, does not refer to pornography.
There is no such term as "Yiffer." Given that yiff always has a sexual context to it, using the word as such would be like calling someone a Sexer, as in, one who has sex. But just as we don’t usually feel the need to use normal terms to distinguish people who have sex regularly versus people who don’t, most furs don’t feel the need to create a term to be used as such.
