Jack asked Rosalind, "Where's... Where's Vlad?"

Rosalind wrung her hands and hung her head. "Elsewhere," she answered ambiguously. b

(How depressing... Will someone have a scientific epiphany and resurrect me or will I have to orchestrate my return myself?)

[I should like to very much, but, as you are aware, I should hate to misrepresent your character.]

(You wouldn't be mis-representing my character, as long as you didn't have him do anything upon re-combobulation.)

Jack smiled weakly. "When he gets back, tell him he ain't getting out of our fight that easily... But that's not really why I saved you..." Jack passed out from the sheer pain.
((Jack is finally learning to be kind... Aww... *SHOOTS HIM IN THE HEAD* Rofl.))

[Well, I, for one, prefer this Jack.] Rosalind did as best she could to make her fellow comfortable. She wiped her eyes and stood. ["What's done cannot be undone" Hooray for Macbeth] She walked back to the fallen tree. The base seemed to defy gravity, as the root system branched outward. She ran a hand up the bark which she had often climbed. She whispered to the branches. "You sheltered me, here. Now I must do the sheltering." The girl stripped a twig from the branches and placed it into the ground. It grew steadily upwards.

From the soil and air, the plant pulled in vapour and memories, emptiness and nutrients. It blossomed and brought forth life, for what of Vlad had been lost was found. Rosalind plucked the largest bloom and emptied its nectar onto the earth. It seemed to reform as the liquid-Vlad may have.

((He summoned a demigod. Even if it was his element he'd be hurt. And summoning is naturally hard, but with a demigod, he's lucky to even be alive.))

[Yes, but that doesn't mean that Jason understands. After all, he can't be very fond of Jack after what he said.] Rosalind was weak, not having ever grown something so large or beautiful. b

Jack opened his eyes again to blinding pain. He yelled loudly, the pain burning through his body like a wildfire. "The... After-effects... Please... There's a vial in my pocket... I need to drink it..." He coughed up a tiny bit of blood.

Wearily, Rosalind stumbled to the man on the ground and uncorked the vial. She administered the entire dosage.

Jack gulped it down and immediately felt better. "Thank you..." He knew this day would come, so he mixed a cure to the after-effects in advance.
