"I would very much enjoy that," Koko replied and looked down at Drake with a smile. "You going to be my escort?" The puppies meanwhile were be sheperded away by Bly back to their mother where they would get some shut eye.

Drake smiled.
"of course. i need to beat the sirens away from you don't I?"

"You figured my plan out that quickly did you?" Koko laughed. "Are you sure you can't read minds?" She playfully messed up his hair.

Drake laughed.
"hey gerroff." he twisted and started to mess with her hair in revenge.
"yeah not nice is it?" he smiled.

Aridas smiled and rolled his eyes and directed his attention to Judith, though the question was intended for everyone.
"so what do you want to see?"

"No...not when I have five times at much hair," Koko frowned huffed a strand away from her face. Then went to work on fixing it. She heard Aridas's question but didn't have an answer since other than 'everything.'

Drake laughed and helped her brush it through. he looked over at Aridas.
"well, waht are the touristy things?"

Aridas looked up to the ceiling as he thought.
"well there's the whale bone arch at the top of the hill, there's Whitby Abbey..."

"is the Abby painful?" Drake asked, wary of teh holy area.

Aridas shook his head. "nah not anymore. just tingly. It was stripped of all holy significant when the monks were kicked out."

A whale bone arch? That seemed interesting. But she was still concerned of Drake despite Aridas's respond. She cast down that concern look at Drake and fixed up his hair a bit.

Drake looked back up at her and waves a hand as if to say 'don't worry about it'. Aridas spotted her look of concern.

"ok, what denomination are you?" he asked Drake.

"Catholic." Drake said.

"Ah. hm, maybe... But it still shouldn't harm you physically. i tend to be receptive to most holy stuff quite badly and it's never effected me."

Koko's tension let up a little bit and she kissed the top of Drake's head. "We're going to the abbey then?" she asked locking her fingers with his.

Drake sighed, still a little unconvinced and looked sideways at Aridas soudning almost accusing.
"But you're a protestant, aren't you?"

"Don't say it like that." Aridas snorted. "it'll be fine.

Drake relented and then squeezed koko's hand. "ok, we'll take a look at the Abbey."

[ah yet another reason for the boys not to like each other whee ]

Koko gave him another kiss on the cheek for reasurrance. "You don't dislike me for not being a catholic, do you?" she whispered with a slight pout before standing up.

"Of course not. You're technically pagan so you don't really factor into the argument of true faith."
he said back quietly, trying his hardest not to sound offensive. He honestly didn't care what she belived, but whenever he spoke to her about it he seemed to involuntarily end up patronising her.

"I suppose I can accept that response," Koko replied tuggind at him to get him to stand up. She could tell he was trying to find the right words for the response. "Come on," she smiled.

Judith followed them outside, glad to be out of the awkward religion conversation. She drifted more towards Adrias to give Koko and Drake their space.

Drake smiled in relief and kissed her cheek.
"I'm sorry." he sighed, realising that it must still irritate her. He was touched that she decided to overlook it nevertheless.

Aridas followed but joined Judith in hanging back, though when it was clear that Drake and Koko lost where they were going he glanced at Judith and linked arms with her, them both quickly overtaking. He smirked and then unhooked arms, slipping them into the pockets of his coat. the night air was still cold even if the wind had died down, and curls of hot breath twisted out of his mouth.
They climbed up through the town, following the tourist signs for the Abbey but for a few shortcuts Aridas took. It wasn't until they stopped outside the walled-in ruin that Drake finally noticed the smoke coming out of Aridas mouth, which contrasted to the lack of their own.
He turned and huffed in frustration.

"Seriously man, what the hell?"

"What?" Aridas said shrinking back slightly and frowning. "it's fine we can just climb over the wall."

"You know perfectly well that's not what I mean." Drake snorted.

Aridas shook his head and scooted up the wall, climbing up it as if gravity was inconsequential and then crouching at the top to look down at them.
"Look. If you want this conversation in its entirety, then just ask properly like a man and I will oblige you. But I don't enjoy giving it, and I tire of you pointing out every little thing that surprises you like you're playing freak-bingo. Now are you coming to see the Abbey or not?"

Drake glared up at him and then stepped back slightly so he could help the girls up if they needed it.
