Looking at Ryan with a slightly tilted head, Lexi then smiled at him a little. "Of course you are!" she said before her head tilted a little more as she caught the sad look in his eyes. Was there something wrong? Was she being too weird and he was just too nice to get up and leave. Was she annoying him? A million worries went through her head before she looked at him again, a small smile appearing on her face. "I-It helps a lot." She said softly. It was comforting to know that somebody cared about her. Looking at Ryan for a moment, a curious look crossed her face as it seemed he was going to ask her something. The curious look then turned to a slightly confused look as the male changed his mind. 'I wonder what he was going to ask.' She thought to herself before looking at the male again. Something seemed to be upsetting him, she just didn't know what it was. She really wanted to help him out though. Looking into his eyes, she then tilted her head just a little. "Are you okay?" She asked him softly and worriedly. She didn't want her friend to be upset. Was he sick or was it something else. She didn't know at the moment and it hadn't occurred to her either that she had moved closer to the male until she wrapped her arms around him and gave him a tight and comforting hug. Hugging someone or something always made her feel better, back before she had Belle to hug, she would always hide in her closet and hug her stuffed animals when she was upset.

Ryan wasn't sure how to answer her question, what was going on exactly. Could he honestly say that he was ok, this lingering self-centered feeling telling him that he wasn't worth anything was really getting to him. His leg ached, reminding him why his thoughts were so depressing. Lexi's words echoed in his thoughts. Wonderful Person...Huh. He thought burrowing his face back into his knees. The brunette remembered when he was always complimented and he was the center of attention, that was a wonderful person but who was he? A shadow of his former self or a new entity all together. Question after question, one concern after another haunting him and controlling his life. Ryan wasn't sure what to say but suddenly a pair of arms wrapped around his torso which was startling. H-huh... He stammered, tilting his head towards Lexi. He wasn't sure what she was trying to do but it did seem to have some kind of effect. He assumed that she was trying to comfort him in some way that seemed normal to her. As he rose out of his sad thoughts Ryan realized just what was going on and his cheeks lit up like red lights. S-she's so close. A-awkward! He thought to himself. Ryan sat up from his fetal-like position and looked at Lexi in her blue eyes. Pretty... He accidentally mumbled out loud. As soon as he realized what was said Ryan tried to create some distance between them, his face turning an even darker shade of red.

U-uh I uhm...O-oh I know h-how to cheer up this depressing scene! He stammered trying to change the subject and move past what he just said. But what could cheer up this scene exactly, he wasn't even sure himself. Ryan only had a few seconds to spew out an answer so he'd have to think on his feet. How about I go get some candy to lighten up the mood! He said with a soft smile, the blush on his cheeks slowly fading. He remembered where the candy shop was and figured he could run there quickly and be back in ten minutes or so. I can be in and out and get back here quick! He said. Candy would be a good way to change the awkward air between them but it was also a chance for Ryan to go and clear his head. His heart was racing simply from how close she was.

The hug was a little awkward because Ryan had his knees pulled to his chest, but it would probably be pretty easy to see that she was trying to comfort him. Looking up at him, she blushed a little bit at how close she was to him, but really, she was okay with it, but she could tell that he was probably feeling awkward about it based on how red his face was, though the tint to her face wasn't much different. When she heard him mumble 'pretty' her cheeks darkened a bit. Sense he wanted some distance between them, she released the male from her hug, sitting right in her bed and straightening out her blankets a little, shyly glancing away. Did that mean he thought she was pretty? The thought alone was enough to make her blush more, but on the inside she was happier than ever! Even though things were completely awkward now...

"U-Um." She said softly before looking at Ryan, her head tilting to the side a little bit. "You do?" She asked him softly before a smile appeared on her face. "That actually sounds like a great idea!" She said as she looked into his eyes for a moment before shyly glancing away, gently brushing her thumb over the blanket that was lain over her. Candy actually sounded like a really, really good idea. Especially since there was no flipping way she could eat that hospital food! Yuck!

Ryan got up, feeling upbeat and ready to go. I'll be back in a flash! He exclaimed before taking his leave. He wasn't sure what kind of candy Lexi liked so he decided that he would just buy a bit of everything. He would just take whatever she wasn't to fond of since he didn't have any favorites when it came to sweets. It didn't take to long and he was back with a large bag of candy before he knew it! I bring gifts of sweets from a foreign land! He exclaimed in a poetic tone as he entered the room. No reason to come back feeling awkward about what had happened before, what happened happened and there wasn't much he could do but look forward. He didn't want to pretend it didn't happen and push it away, he simply didn't want to make things more complicated while Lexi was in the hospital. She was probably going through enough as is.

---Time Skip---

The basketball court, how many times had he found himself here at the critical moment. Over and over again he reached the same outcome, failure. He felt like a machine going through the motions, already knowing the inevitable outcome soon to come. This was his punishment for being so afraid, being reminded over and over again why he was the way he was now. And just like before the nightmare ended with an abrupt yet messy halt. The brunette's eyes opened with a start but his body hardly moved from its current position. It took him a moment to adjust but the room was very bright, the blinds were open and everything. Where was he? This wasn't his room. Ryan slowly sat up, noticing he was in a chair and his head was laying on a bed. Suddenly he remembered just where he was. Had he fallen asleep in the hospital room?

Lexi smiled at the male before she chewed at the inside of her cheek a little. Not long after Ryan left, the nurse came in and made a clicking noise with her tongue. "Sweetie, you have to eat the food." She said before she sighed as she saw the stubborn look on the girl's face. She couldn't force her to eat the food if she didn't want to.. Picking up the tray, the woman glanced at the heart monitor and tilted her head a little before she left the room. Not long after than, Ryan had returned. The young woman looked up at him then grinned. "Yay!" She chuckled a bit. She was still thinking about how close her face had been to his and she blushed a little bit before she shook her head.

It was quiet except for the gentle sound of her heart monitor beeping. Lexi wasn't sure when she had fallen asleep, but it had been an pretty uncomfortable sleep. She was so used to having Belle purring and trying to smother her. At some point, the girl had reached over in her sleep and gently grasped Ryan's hand. She was still asleep when Ryan woke up, her hair had a few stray ends sticking out here or there, but wasn't too much of a mess because it had been braided. The raven girl turned her head a little and groaned on her sleep softly, releasing Ryan's hand so she could pull the blanket covering her up more to try and block out the sun. Why was it so bright! "Ngh..." She whined in her sleep as she fidgeted a bit before slowly starting to wake up. "R-Ryan?" She said softly as her blurry morning vision saw the male. Had he spent the night here?

Tyrese planned on staying out all night, but of course he couldn't keep the expectant mother with him for that long; especially with her husband waiting for her to come through the door at home. The establishment was open twenty-four hours, so while he, for the first few days at least, wanted to get used to the process, Aubrey wasn't included in staying overtime while he played mr owner man. He'd had it arranged that if he moved his desk then his couch pulled out into a bed, and he could be up for the six am shift change tomorrow; the wolf thought it was smart, he had just opened and wanted things to go well. That, or he was a control freak, which he could more or less shrug and admit to. If something happens in the first seventy-two hours he'd be on site to deal with it, and that more than anything made him feel equipped for this. He and Aubrey exited the facility when they were both good and ready, finding it was relatively dark just beyond the parking lot. Sitting on the side of the beach like the place was, there were no light poles or traffic lights around; the few that were on his property were faintly lit to keep it from being over bearing against the natural background. The other businesses on this end were just dots in the distance, with exception to the faint sound of music from the Captain's Deck. The place was rowdy even this late at night, or rather, especially this late at night. So, they were somewhat isolated on a dim island of lights. As the male began to see Aubrey to her car so he in turn could go home for some of his things, Ty made sure to hand Aubrey the cd he'd burned for her earlier that week. He had already filled her in on the grim situation with Lillian, not really looking for what he'd knew she'd tell him as feedback; he could only sigh as he lingered on the memory of yesterday, hoping Sela wasn't too upset with being juggled between her parents. The wolf was letting Aubrey into her car, stepping away from her door so she could close it, when he looked over her hood as his attention became needed elsewhere. An employee was crossing the street who was calling out an apology to him about being late; not that he had noticed, he'd been tied up ever since Rylee arrived earlier that day. The wolf made sure Aubrey was buckled in, waving goodby from the outside of her window before meeting the woman at the crosswalk to greet her. They were both startled by the screech of a car as the young woman was flooded in headlights halfway across the street. And that's all Ty remembered- besides throwing himself forward to push her out of the way.

Tyrese was waking up to a dark environment, immediately registering the smell of antiseptic and the beeping of a single monitor. A string of profanity would have left his lips, but the moment his mouth opened he found his throat scratched and raspy, to sore to speak right away. He tried opening his eyes instead, the whole room filled with motion blur and unfamiliarity. Was he dreaming? What happened? He garbled a groan, his arm in a sling as he reached- no, it barely did that, and the wolf switched arms as he tried to sit up. His body made the immediate protest that put him back down in seconds, a slightly louder groan vibrating out of his throat. Ow. The man stopped trying, too foggy to contemplate how he got here or what to do next. The heart monitor speed up as he listened to footsteps outside the door, what he assumed was the door by the small crack of light spilling from beneath. The blinds swayed as air blew into the room, revealing clips of daylight that blinded him. What time was it?! How long was he out?! His chest heaved with effort, his good arm stretching and pushing as he tried to sit up. His machines going off had a nurse in the room within a few moments, her hands forcing him down as she spoke something the wolf perceived as nothing more than gibberish. The wolf tossed himself into his pillow, giving up as he winced, quickly motioning for a glass of water. He snatched and threw the straw out as the worker tried to direct it to his lips, taking it himself and guzzling down more than half the cup. Finally he let in air, a braced hand and wrist pushing his hair out of his eyes. "Alight, how bad is it? He managed, licking his lips and speaking past the pain. His head hurt too much to even comprehend he'd been hit by a car, for the moment he was wondering why his body was so reluctant to cooperate with his struggles. He was surely feeling a lot of pain and drowsiness, but judging by the iv bag beside him, most of the pain was being fended off. He lifted the thin white hospital blanket, attempting to fling it off as the poor flailing employee tried to keep him calm. A brunette in a lab coat entered the room next, her brows furrowed as she approached his bedside with a clip board. "Mister Havens, you're in the hospital. Please calm down." She began, waiting a good few seconds in case she had to have the man retrained. There was obviously panic behind his navy eyes, but gradually they focused on her as he motioned to the drip plugged into his arm. "I want them out." He protested, and she nodded calmly, patting his leg so he knew to calm himself a bit more. "We can take them out once your condition is looking up a bit more. Okay?"

She paused for his mind to catch up, smiling and motioning for him to be given more water as he glanced down into his cup. She took the opportunity to continue while he drank from it. "I'm Dr Thomas, your physician today. You were in an accident early this morning. You have a mild concussion and a few fractured bones that we just set in a cast not too long ago. Ah- oh, your sleeping medication is still wearing off, please take it easy." She advised as he threw one arm up in exasperation. The female told the wolf about the rest the injuries he had, a sprained wrist, dislocated shoulder, plenty of bruises and lacerations. His pelvic bone had a nice fracture. The list was long enough the put the wolf into frustration. "You were hit by a drunk driver, it's a miracle you're alive. I don't believe any of the injuries you have will have long lasting effects." She tried explaining as he sighed and rubbed the bandage wrapped around his cranium. He could feel the bumps of sutures on the right side of his forehead where he was hit, silently agreeing that he could be a lot worse after throwing himself into a car. "And the other people involved?" He asked, looking at the older woman as he rested both arms over his stomach. This was going to put a serious dent in his everything, but what could he do now? "Am I going to be in a wheel chair and s**t? Am I paralyzed for life, my lower half on backwards?" He continued, watching the woman raise a brow before covering her mouth. Medication wearing off indeed. She cleared her throat, turning to look at his stats and writing them down in her paperwork. "You'll be in a wheelchair until you leave this hospital. Everything else will be fine, your lower half is facing the exact way it should. The woman you saved got off with a few scratches and bruises, the driver has been detained. You can go home later today, just let us know who to call." She informed, and Ty bit his cut lip with no attention to the pain. Everyone was at work, and the wolf really didn't want anyone involved. He wanted to go home, he knew that much. Who could he call? Even if Lillian was at work, on this side of town, he didn't want to call her. To scare Sela? He wouldn't risk it. Having Aubrey and Finn drive across town, probably worry. Especially having Finn come back to a hospital after what happened with Aubrey- he rejected the idea as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Ouch. "Can I call a cab?" "If the driver can sign you out." The doctor replied before leaving the room. Ty huffed, laying back on his pillow and closing his eyes.

Dia finished up with her shifter patient, who hadn't seemed in so great a mood after their brief consultation. She'd overseen his care herself, since her specialty was in nonhuman diagnostics. While she was human, the woman acknowledged the world was full of beings who weren't human; they went to their own kind when they needed medical help, but that wasn't always available. Some showed caution to come to human hospitals for fear of being discovered, in her experience. She tried to be a mediator as best she could. The nurse assigned to the man's care was well aware of the process to check him out, and what medications to send him home with. Her shift since ten pm, until nearly noon the next day, was finally over. The woman yawned as she walked into her office, opening a metal wardrobe and taking out a fresh pair of clothes. They accompanied her to the women's staff locker room where she showered in an individual stall, not at all in the mood to go all the way home to clean herself up. She went through a hospital version of a morning routine, bringing her hospital wear back to her office in a bag to be washed at home. She'd break out if she left her lab coat to be washed with the hospital's detergents. Back in her office, the woman clocked out and packed her laptop, standing in a mirror to apply a hint of make up before grabbing everything that need to go with her, and exited the hospital out the back. She sighed when seated in her car, rolling her neck on her shoulders. While usually she would go home and crash, she really needed a drink before she had to go back to an empty home. What was fitting her mood today? Biting into her lip, she shifted gears and pulled out of the hospital parking lot.

( ♬ But I think my mistakes became the chemistry for my miracles... • )

Not a wink of sleep for the curly haired brunette. Since late the evening before - when she had supposed to have been going home after the absolutely wonderful event Tyrese cooked up for her - she had only been leaning her head against the concrete wall of the hospital. Everything smelled sterile; her heightened sense of smell had now caught on to anything and everything that practically came across her nose. Nothing out of the ordinary, only a sort of 'side effect' of her pregnancy. Each and every time she managed to keep her eyes closed, she'd only see the sudden glimpse of reflecting headlights and a flying body coming across the street. The screech of tires and the slam of metal into something, well, something it shouldn't have hit in the first place. It rolled, rugged onto the cement without so much as a movement. Not so much it as he. She lifted a hand from her thigh, pushing it up along her bangs and around her eyebrows to wipe away what she could of sleep. Dragging her amethyst eyes sideways, she turned her attention back to the still body int he bed with a heavy sigh. Only a day after his opening and here he was in a hospital bed. A hospital bed. She hadn't even managed to make it home last night... Only sending one last, On my way home! to Finn to make sure he knew where she was and that was it. With a small swallow, she cracked her wrists, which were now sore from staying in one place along the arm rests.

The terror playing through her mind couldn't compare to much else she had seen. Everything had been going wonderfully... And now here she was, watching an occasional doctor - even Dia herself, come in to check on the sleeping author. Tyrese... She groaned quietly, lifting her back from the seat with a rickety crack. Now 11 weeks in, she could begin to feel the weight gaining itself across the expanse of her stomach. A small, hard bulge. If anything, it looked like a muffin top; but she sufficed. Having slipped her wedges off from the night before, she glanced down at her still, dead phone, and began to make her way out of the door, waving and smiling a tired 'hello' to Dia. With her lack of expression besides the wave and hi she returned, it was difficult to guess exactly what was Tyrese's condition. She sighed once more, turning the door handle and exiting the room to go to the restroom. Her fingers fumbled through her curls, tugging occasionally at tight ones caught in last night's wind. The smell and taste of the ocean was still fresh on her tongue, the candle light glittering on her cheekbones. At the moment, she didn't care that she didn't have a pair of shoes to accompany her into the restroom - she was positive it was sterile enough; just like the rest of the place. Well. At least she didn't have to arch her feet the rest of the time. Too bad she didn't bring her headphones though. Or the CD he burned for her! Damn. Ah, well, she'd have it in the car; but she didn't want to leave too far if he woke up.

Soon she returned, turning on her heel to close the door as quietly as possible. Well... As quiet as she thought until she realized he was awake. He was awake! Her eyes snapped open and she happily bounded for him, wrapping her arms tight around his neck. To be honest, she had completely forgotten that he might be in extreme pain. Oops. After a minute, she quickly released and took a step back to look at him. "How do you feel? Are you okay...?" She murmured, settling on his bed side. Her hip pressed into the mattress, dipping it in gently towards her.

Tyrese wanted to lull back into slumber as his doctor left, but for the life of him couldn't find the will to keep his eyes shut for more than a few seconds. Which seemed to be the plan, as he flinched when the lights were turned on and a new nurse came to his bedside with medication. The wolf made a reluctant expression before swallowing them down with water, listening and nodding as it was explained he was to take these pills every six hours, with caution, as he would grow drowsy. His right arm had to stay in a sling while his shoulder healed and he wasn't allowed to walk for two days while the damn cast on his leg dried. The last things were the brace on his left hand and the concussion, both just needed time and another check up. By the time she was done explaining, with instructions on how to care for the cast, someone was walking in with a lunch he wouldn't touch despite the empty feeling in his stomach. The thought of food made him recall the lack he'd been giving himself, and he felt the need to eat, but a moment later he was struck with a sick feeling and wasn't sure he'd hold it down at all. He may need help to take care of himself. He thought about it with a discontented squirm and a small sigh. could he still cook for thanksgiving? Shift? Drive? How many of his usual functions were out the door? His brow gave a worried crinkle as he stared blankly at the nurse's clipboard.

He'd thought of who to call, asking about any of his things that had been brought to the hospital for him. His phone, wallet and keys had been on his person, all three accounted for when he was brought in. His phone screen was cracked but the device was functional, he needed it for the number he couldn't remember on his own right now. He'd rather do this then any of the options he considered before. He wasn't calling Lillian, Finn, or Aubrey. Although it wouldn't be bad to consult the latter, he convinced himself not to once he realized he couldn't ask her to hold down the hotel for him. Technically he could, but she had her own business. He didn't have time to figure out what he was going to do without anyone's help, he wasn't sure he cared. He'd better just hurry and make this call before this medication kicked in. The wolf used the hospital phone, praying under his breath for a moment that his insurance would cover the bills he'd have after today, and dialed Lysander. He prayed even more that the blonde would answer. Ty had gotten his number under the pretext of contacting him to bring Sela over, which was completely true. Ty couldn't remember what they did that night, but it wouldn't happen again. He'd been down right himiliated waking up the next morning at home and finding as many bites and small bruises as he did- especially on is inner thigh. He gave a shutter of distaste, listening to the phone ring and hanging up only to redial once more.

As he did, someone else walked into the room. He didn't feel like seeing another- It was Aubrey. His brows jutted upwards, the phone drifting away from his ear as he blinked rapidly up at her face. What was she doing here? He grunted, wincing at pain and wishing he could double over. Holy- agh, that hurt. The wolf patted her back gingerly with his good hand, the phone dropped to the side of the bed for a moment. Sighing slowly when she let go, he got a good look at her face and clothing and began to wonder if she ever went home last night. Hadn't she driven off at all? The wolf paused at her question, bringing his hand to his face and inhaling an audibly shaking breath. "A-Aubrey, they said I'll never walk again. I...I- my life is over." No wait, that was an a*****e move. He peeked at her through one eye, a small smile on his lips. "I'm sorry, I'm only kidding." Just then an irritated voice answered his outgoing call, he turned his gaze to the phone and brought it back to his ear. "Hey...I'm sorta hospitalized in the intensive care unit right now and I need a ride home. I didn't want to call Lillian, so you're-" Another glance at the married woman. "You're kinda my only option right now."

Her facial features instantly began to fall, mouth widening in shock as her hand fled up to cover her pink lips - reflected by the rising sunlight out the window. H-He wouldn't ever walk again?! Oh God; panic began to flow through her mind, eyes darting to the wall for a fraction of a second before she saw the flicker of a smile on his lips. "Tyrese!" She cried, smacking the back of her hand along his shoulder. Damn it! With an extremely relieved breath, she doubled over and clasped her hands together, her pale ivory toes brushing up against the floor; the nails reflecting a smokey purple color. "You better be sorry. I'll give you a purple nurple next time if you don't watch it, buddy." She growled, albeit playfully, and pointed straight towards the left side of his chest. It wasn't long after that she turned her attention to the drifted phone, curls bouncing along her shoulders. Getting hit by a car.. And he still took it like a champ. It was like nothing had even happened last night - though she had only caught a glimpse of the end of it. Her jaw clenched and she shook her head, desperately trying to remove the memory. "I will take you home." She murmured, waving her hand furiously in the bluenette's face. There was no way in hell he was going to leave here without her consciously making sure he got home. And even if it wasn't Lillian - maybe it was Jeni? - she still wasn't letting him go without her. "The car is here. And I'm fine to drive. Tired... But fine." She blinked her purple swirling eyes to the door. "Besides. It's only... What, 5 minutes from here? You're in Uptown Soleil, for pete's sake." She huffed quietly, leaning back to straighten up again. Only a slight flinch made her realize the bruise beneath her bra strap was even still there.

What was there to lose? She was out and about anyway; it wasn't as if she was planning on going anywhere but home after this. If anything, she'd catch a nap and let her phone charge at Tyrese's house before heading on back home into her own bed... Where she'd probably sleep more. Well, after feeding Alistair. And Dime. If he was still there when she got there. If anything, Finn had probably up and headed over to work first thing in the morning so he could be home in the early evening - hopefully. "Are you even free to go yet?" She had to make sure he wasn't bailing like her. She knew what it was like to be stuck in one of these damn hospitals. Leave, leave, leave. That was all she wanted to do when she got in. Hospitals had meant bad business. Or at least it had seemed so for the past several weeks.

What's a purple nurple? Tyrese turned his upper body away from the brunet, trying to shield his chest as he heard a frustrated sigh from the other end of the phone. Each minuscule movement earned a wince, but the incident hadn't sunk in his mind fully. He was expecting to heal quickly, like he always did. Lips parted slightly, he wolf raised his brows as the blonde agreed without Ty needing to utter so much as a 'please.' Lysander was doing something nice for him without question? The phone hung up in his ear before he could reply, his eyes blinking past the hand waving in his face as the dead tone echoed in his hearing. Tyrese then frowned, shaking his head at Aubrey as he began to dial another number from his phone, the side to side movement becoming more vigousous the longer he continued until he blurted a rather sharp retort to end it. "No!"

All his movements froze in shock of himself before he sighed, eyes sliding downwards to press the phone into the cradle of its base. His now freed hand ushered its palm to his hairline, pushing back the slightly blood-matted mass out of his eyes as fleeting expressions of frustration fluttered past his features. "Aubrey, you have no clue how overwhelmingly happy it makes me to wake up and see you here. I stopped expecting to see someone at my side helping me as much as you have." The author tried to explain, knowing his outburst may have sent the wrong message. She wasn't doing anything wrong, he wasn't pushing her away as if she'd overstepped some boundary she shouldn't have. Again and again she was proving her worth as a friend, spawning these moments that made him want to depend on her. It was frightening, as frightening as not seeing Finn in her place as much as he used to.

"Does your husband even know you're here? He is not going to like that you were here without him having been told." He tried to sit up, abandoned the thought, and let his gaze wander the room as the clocked ticked away time. He had been told he could leave today, not knowing if anything needed to be done first, but thag alone was good enough to pass as 'free to go.' And when she saw it was Lysander he contacted, he was going to get an earful. Or at least a look that would say it all. But that wasn't the point. He couldn't keep baiting himself with the same forbidden fruit. "What I mean, is, I don't want another problem with Finn. It's great you're here, but when it's just you- when no one else has been? I can't interpret this as friendship anymore, and I don't want to ruin our friendship when I only recently began to develop a relationship with you."

Her motives were completely well intended and platonic, so he wasn't somehow saying she was making him feel this way. But his heart and his mind couldn't stop seeing anything but wanting her. Pretending that cd was just a 'we may as well be married' joke because of all the time they spent together, along with disguising every other stupid attempt to learn about her as light hearted bonding- he couldn't do it today. He was going to do something stupid and confess how he felt if he didn't ask for a breather. Because, he knew it was wrong. He opened his mouth to explain that with his love life being dragged through the mud and with everything he's been been doing, it wasn't hard to see he was feeling the wrong things for a lot of people- including her. Rather, he shut his mouth again and rubbed his face with one hand, feeling a red tint burning its way up to his ears. He didn't want to ruin what they had going, but this could be the straw that broke the camel's back.

( ♬ But I think my mistakes became the chemistry for my miracles... • )

Bree pulled back her hand, blinking in bewilderment at the sudden snap in tone from Tyrese's mouth. The hair on his head gave gentle tosses and turns, her eyes darting to meet every blue strand she came across until they fell along his skin and down to his navy orbs. Did she say something? Did the person on the other side say something? Each and every feature she came across had practically been splattered in blood. It bothered her... The exact same as how she was when she entered the hospital from the incident. A crack on the pavement - dirt and grass slipping through every crevice of her outfit and skin... Mud raveled into her hair. She sighed, watching him. She almost wanted to answer with 'But?', however decided against it once he began to sit up and ask her another question. "I can't call him. My phone is dead." On second thought, her eyes drifted over to the phone he had dangled just a moment ago. She supposed she could call him here in a bit, after Tyrese said he was all right to go. She was sure she didn't want to meet- Oh! Maybe it was Tori and Hakem. Had they moved in yet? Regardless, she shook her head and opened her mouth to speak, "No, he doesn't. My phone died while I was waiting for Dia to walk in and help you. Not too long after I got in the car last night." She brushed a hand against her curls to tuck it behind her ear. At least she could see him better that way. "I'm sure he knows I'm fine. I was with you after all." Yeah, she'd call him after she was done talking to Tyrese. At least see if his morning went okay. Or if he even noticed she hadn't been home. She would imagine he might be a little worried - at least a little - considering she had been doing her usual 'hibernation' since healing.

She brushed her hand against his chest, pressing gingerly along the shirt so he wouldn't budge. She didn't want him to get up if he was in pain. Especially not if she had to wheel him out of here and help him into the car. God... What would Sela do if she saw her father like this? Probably throw a spoiled brat fit and change into a wolf... Then she'd have to catch her because God only knew Tyrese's wolf form wouldn't be able to in this condition. She sighed, clicking her tongue on the roof of her mouth. If she was lucky, the girl would sit still and be her little 'nurse' for the time being. Maybe she could persuade her... Even buy her a toy set at the store to give him fake shots and bandages. Although, the next part of his wording made her head shoot up a bit. Oh she had noticed. Ever since the small peck from his lips on that night in her own bedroom, she had noticed. The occasional glimpses her way, the navy stare over the bar top when he visited her at work or the watchful eye at home... She swallowed, turning her eyes back toward him before a smile crept onto her face. "Tyrese..." Fortunately for her, she was familiar with this territory. Of course, she had been a bit 'popular' with the boys in highschool- but that was besides the point. There was one other male she had corresponded with in the situation - one she had wished was here throughout her pregnancy thus far but had to move back for the time being. If he saw her now, he might throw a fit to know she was even out and about as late as she had been.

"I'm not going to stop hanging out with you because you have feelings for me." She paused, the smile on her lips relaxing to a softer one as her own pink blush began to glow on her cheek bones. "I'm here because I want to be here, not because I'm required to be. You could have had Finn, or her, or Jeni take care of thing for you both friend wise or business wise - but in reality, I'm the one that's the best fit for you. You need specifically me just as I need you in my life." She had told Finn almost the same thing - but in a condescending tone. I'm not here because I'm your soul mate. I'm not required to be here because we switched bodies. I'm here because I want to be here. Because I love you and I need you in my life. Back when they were having problems, ones he was still making up for, she had to voice her concerns for fleeting feelings - awful fleeting feelings she no longer wanted to have a part of. She wanted everything to go back to normal; and so far it had, only with the addition of Tyrese as both friend and family. "If I ever felt the slightest bit uncomfortable around you, I wouldn't be here right now. I would be back at home, thinking over the things you gave me last night. I probably wouldn't have even agreed to stay after hours. But..." She grimaced and turned her fingers back towards herself, curling them along her dress. "I did. And this? It's an instinct. Your drive to fight for me is something that I bet has come since the day I stood up for you." Even still, she was proud of the hit to Lillian. She wanted to see her cry... Again. "I have no regret because I care for you - even if it wasn't my place to do so. And you're only doing the same thing. I was the first and only female to actually be there for you when you needed me to be. If it had been someone else... Maybe they'd be in my spot now." She turned to him, giving a faint wink. "You don't think I've had slight hints from you here and there? Of course I had a feeling..." A curl fell against her cheek. "Besides, if I let someone else's feelings get the best of me, do you think Jacob and I would have stayed friends? And look at him and I now." The smile widened. "Jacob and I have been friends since day one in that alleyway, and only growing closer and closer. He's always going to be there for me. The only difference between him and you is that I was absolutely petrified to talk to you." She placed her fingertips on his, gently tugging them off his cheek. "I chose to be closer to you, Tyrese... Through thick and thin."

"I have a lot of emotions for you." She squeezed his hand; having perhaps a small undertone of liking too beneath the wording. "I've always been a 'what if' person, so don't think it hasn't crossed my mind if we turned out to be the couple. But... That's what makes us part of this reality." In another world... "Your feelings might stay and your feelings might go. But whatever you feel, I'll respect it and always be there for you mentally; and physically unless you want me gone at some point." She pulled on the edges of her dress, pulling it further up her chest as she leaned forward to look at the ground. "Just don't tell Finn. The last thing I need is for you two to fight again." She smirked and stood. "So tell me Havens, do you want me to go?" She jerked her thumb towards the door, bare feet cold on the sterile tile. "Or would you rather me be here... Like I always have, and let you keep your feeling for me a 'secret'?" She quotationed her fingers, the smile widening a bit more.
