Mwa furry wolf no they dont. if you heat something in the microwave its saver to put it in plastic =x Ah good. 'Cause I covered the pot with a (plastic)chooping board. xd hope its the right kind of plastic...

Mwa -Mwa starts reading.- Place 225g in a non-metallic dish, cover and microwave on full power for... Cat B (s50w) 4 and a half mintues, cat E(800w) 4 mins. -Mwa blinks, shrugs, then grabs a bowl out of the cupboard at random, pours some peas in and shoves them in the microwave.- The peas say to cover! Anyway, the big chopping board wouldn't fit into the microwave. So it's mostly covered. ninja

You mean cling-film. ;p like saran-wrap? that stuff can melt too....*has lots of experience with melting things in microwaves*
