He's right.
There must be something to the design that works because they're still using them.
Its like the X-wing. The NR and later GA just cant seem to get rid of it.

I remember back in KOTOR one of my favorite " messing around " things to do was have Specialization in Heavy Weapons and Master Rapid Fire and spamming that with Ordo's Repeater.
Something about that shitload of blaster shots all the time just makes it awesome.
