Zach formed a mat of ice. "Excuse me, please, but I need to speak with the spirits." He summoned them. This time, he kept the mind-link open. Were you able to find his exact location? The spirit flew around. Yes, my liege... His face was impassive. Tell me. Pictures flashed through his mind. He nodded. Dismissed. The spirit flew into his chest.

Zach laughed. "Maaaaaybe..." He grinned. "But at least I know where he is. I'll let you finish that up, and keep the spirits trained on Walt."

Shiya moved the spagetti to the other side of the stove. She set the finished salad in the fridge. "Well i am done..." she said.

Zach smiled and took out his sketchbook and knife again. "One moment." He searched through the signs again. "Dammit, the one time I need it..." He murmured, then suddenly his face lit up. "The sign of Gaia." He put it into his other hand, immediately searing the wound closed. "There." He turned to Shiya. "Follow me." He walked towards the town library.

Shiya turn off the stove and wrote a quick note to her mom. She followed Zach, "So... where are we going?" she asked.

Zach laughed and touched her forehead, passing some of his aura on so she could see the spirits too. "It's not me, it's the spirits."

Zach's smile faded slightly. He said, "Shiya..." He faltered. "I need to tell you something important..." He bit his lower lip. The fact that what he was about to say was true drove him on. He didn't try to say it out loud; He spoke it in his mind. Shiya... I love you...
