(As was I.)

Regius smiled at Teka. "No, Runite. You are not a monster. Merely under control of something out of your control." He said as he put one of his clawed fingers to Teka's head. Mumbling a few, dark words, he removed his finger and nodded. "There is something dark and evil inside you, young Teka. It is slowly eating away your will to hold it in. And the kind of statement you made only hastens its progress!" He roared viciously. Retrieving his skull clad sword, he kneeled down at the guards and nodded. "In one more night, i assault Cthulhu's palace. Seth, Sortai's young brother will die. But now, i will give you my blessing." He said as he felt his new power course through him. Almost immediately, Teka was glowing. But as soon as the red glare had come, it was gone. "This will aid you Runite. Now come with me. I must speak to Tobias, and i need someone with me i can trust." Regius said as he stood up and looked at Teka with dark, evil, and unrully eyes.

(( Mmm. Traumatic events have unfolded in my life since my last post. Things have been discovered, and shared, and locked away. People I loved and trusted have betrayed me. Only four people in the entire world know of what I speak, and they've sworn silence. I trust very few with my darkest secrets... And for good reason. I regret to inform you all I've been hiding something from you. For years. I know not if I can safely tell anyone besides the current four. But the one friend I have known the longest and shared my greatest hardship with will learn of it sooner or later. I think he suspects it. If so, he can send me a PM about it and I'll answer. For the record, I love and trust every one of you... But to which extent I do not know.

Now, on with my post. ))

Tobias descended the steps, and stopped ten yards from Teka and Regius. "Master Regius... It has been too long, my old friend... In fact, since before the threats we face now." He turned to Teka. "My boy... I have seen what the future holds, and I come here to accept it. Rise, as there is nothing I can do to stop the wheel of fate." He moved forward just as Sortai and Lamkit burst through the second entryway. "Teka. In my vision, I offer you advice. And what I say is this: Hold onto the light for as long as you can. Keep the dark from extinguishing it." He bowed his head as he neared Teka and Regius. "Now... If my vision was correct, and one has never been wrong, I will know exactly what you do next..."

Sortai stopped about ten yards away. "Lamkit... Teka... Whats going on?" His eyes went from the king of Anduria, his forefather, to the figure of Teka, dwarfed by Regius. "What happened out here...?"

Arcturus arranged the thirteen books in a circle upon the ground. Between them formed a rippling surface like a pond in a breeze. Cthulhu's face, filled with hatred, appeared. "Yes...?" He hissed. "I am expecting a visitor from the aquaintence I mentioned earlier. He will undoubtedly offer something in exchange for Teka Runite, one of the more important rebels. Accept whatever he offers, and allow me to handle Runite. With the books I have seen the future, and in ANduria he seals his fate at this moment." Cthulhu nodded slowly, hatred still filling every line on his face. "I am aware... Leonardo and I had a deal worked out long before you came along." Arcturus smiled. "Oh really? Whom, I wonder, pulled the strings as to loosen security the day he entered your keep? Whom deactivated your intruder detecting spells, and projected a field of your soldiers aura about Leonardo, from a distance, that he is still unaware of, to keep K'eychei from recognizing him as an imposter?" Cthulhu was silent. "Do the work laid out for you. I have business." The mirror disappeared, then Arcturus raised his eyes to Sunahr, bloody and bound to a column. "Never knew what hit you, did you?" Arcturus said as he smiled. "You'll die, as will your sons. I have nullified the prophecies, and soon I will have handled every threat to my plans. And once the world is entirely under my command... I shall enact the will of chaos itself."

Lamkit looked arround himself, searching through the chaos, trying to find anything that would heplp him understand this madness. All he knew was that it had something to do with Meesha, or at least she was involved.

Teka looked sternly at Tobias, and stood, "And would you be kind as to tell me what I'm going to do? I'm apparently losing my mind, and I'm torn between staying here the remainder of my life, before Nethrin returns to kill me, and leaving and isolating myself from anyone, so I won't cause any harm." Teka shook his head and started making his way back to the castle.

Leonardo and Nethrin appeared before the gates, Leonardo looked at Nethrin to make sure he had the placeholder. He did. "So Nethrin," Leonardo began as they made their way to the castle, "why would it be a problem if Engrath were to get the Zilophos?"

Nethrin kept silent, as he knew that if Leonardo had this piece of information, he'd hunt down Teka with a new found crave for power.

Leonardo stopped and watched as Nethrin continued walking. "You're hiding something." Nethrin stopped. "I suggest you tell me why that would be a problem, or else our contract might be over. You wouldn't want that, would you?" And Nethrin told. As he spoke, Leonardo's eye's lit up with anticipation. Leonardo smiled, "Well then, let's get this dame up to the lord so we can get Engrath, shall we?"

Lamkit put a hand put to console Teka, but stoped short, affraid, his ferret instincts could tell something was amiss.

Akivir trembled as he saw the anger rise in his master.

Cthulhu stood silently facing away from the doors. "I sense intruders." K'eychei suddenly tensed, growling. "Leave them be. They are welcome." He glanced to Akivir. "Oh, man up. My anger has yet to show its face, you whelp." He awaited Nethrin and Leonardo to make their entry.

Regius shook his head, his eyes gleaming with power. "We need the elf queen, if anything Master Tobias." He said summoning the husk of Meesha. "Cthulhu has her spirit, and i her body. If we are to be at full strength, then we have to reunite the two items." Looking around, the deamon smiled and pointed a finger at teh gates. "Alas, protection is needed," He said as several explosions of blood and gore came from dead guards nearby. Withing moments, two blood deamons wielding flaming swords came to their masters call. Turning back to Tobias, he nodded slightly. "I would like to know how we proceed from here."

Taking slow strides, the giant white dragon King Icemaw walked threw the destroyed gates of Tobias's palace and looked at Regius. "They denied me Regius. I tried to show them my plan, but their counsle would see none of it." He said. However, becoming aware of a very powerful being around him, Icemaw looked down on Tobias. "I am truly sorry that i did not acknowledge you before hand," He said with a bow of his head.

Akur, tired of waiting for the rebellions attack on him, growled. "This waiting has gone on long enough!" He yelled, causing birds to scramble. "Die rebellious scum! Die under my claw and flame!" He laughed as he flew over the rebels and breathed a vicious flame trail into their camp.

(I didn't have Nethrin destroy the whole gate...)

Leonardo led Nethrin up toward the throne room, getting around with little trouble, as it seemed that the guards were informed of who he was. Leonardo stopped Nethrin in frnot of the door to the throne room. "You can leave the woman with me, I'll make sure the transfer goes smoothly. In the meantime, I'll ask that you get a head start on Teka."

Nethrin set the woman down, leaning her against the wall. "Understood. And what would you like me to do once I reach Teka?"

Leonardo leaned against the door, "Rough him up a bit, but don't wear him out. I'd like to have a bit of fun myself."

Nethrin nodded and disappeared with his usual means of transportation. He reappeared in the circle he had drawn in the dirt hours earlier. He entered the cave, surprised to see someone was already there. "Awaken, Mathias. We don't have long."

Mathias yawned and opened his eyes, "I wasn't asleep quite yet, you know. So, what was keeping you away? Another errand?"

"Yes. And it was one that will trouble you a great deal. It would seem that Leonardo had found your sister. I know not that if he has given her the Zilophos, her head was covered. But the worst of the situation is... We had just taken her over the Cthulhu's palace, to serve as a place holder for Teka."

Mathias swore and threw his sword to the other side of the cave. "If only the messenger had gotten there sooner..."

Nethrin held a hand out to Mathias, "Now is not the time to worry. For the time being, your sister is safe. But as soon as Leonardo gives Isabel over to Cthulhu, he'll be making his way to Anduria, to retrieve Teka. Now, Let us go."

Sortai watched as Teka began walking back to the castle. 'Hey, Teka... What is going on? Can you talk now? Please?"

Tobias looked up as the mighty dragon looked down and acknowledged him. He bowed low. "King Icemaw, or Vanquisher, third in the bloodline of the grat Queen Diakar." He raised himself, sweeping up the tail of his robe. "There is no need to acknowledge me. I knew your great-great grandmother, as she was one of the original rulers with me. Id anything, I should bow to you."

Brigham cursed as the tent roof burst into flame. "They come now! Quick, to formation!" He leapt onto the horse prepared by his messenger and rode outward with five of his best men. "Dragon! Airborne coward! Face us on the ground!" he says as arrows pepper Akur and the Dark Priests upon his back.

Cthulhu moved to look out of the massive broken red glass window behind his throne. K'eychei was curled around the black stone chair, and Akivir still sat where he had been left, clutching the bottle. Cthulhu thought as Arcturus once more appeared, this time in the red glass window's sill. "I only come to say this, Cthulhu: Watch your upcoming encounter. The man about to enter is a very, very powerful man, and could make us a great ally. But regardless of my acquaintenceship with him, it all comes down to you, as he still believes it is you whom pulls the strings." Cthulhu's stare went past Arcturus into the ruined city, where it had been before he arrived. "Destruction." The Demon King whispered. "I bring it in glory of my past. I attempt to regain what I lost so long ago. And I have it all... What more could you want from the world, Arcturus? You, as my right hand man, could have had anything." Arcturus smiled as he leapt down from the window, walking by Cthulhu. "The key words, 'Demon king', are 'right hand man.' Good day."

Arcturus exited the throne room. He walked onward, stopping and seeming surprised when he saw Leonardo. "Hmm, if memory serves, you are the one I made a deal with regarding young Teka Runite?" He asks, extending a hand.

Teka, still walking, raised his left hand and shook it in a back and forth motion. "Yeah, yeah... I'll be in my quarters." He ascended the steps toward the castle's doors. When he reached the doors, the guards at the front stopped him, placing their spears between Teka and the door. Teka scanned their faces, only to find terrified glances. "What's wrong?" Teka heard one of the them say something about his face. Teka reached up with his right hand, surprised that he could feel his face. He frantically looked around to find his mask. He found it. In his left hand. "I don't remember taking it off..." He quickly fixed his mask to his face, and turned back to join the others. "It seems that the guards have seen my face, and are afraid to let me in. Can I have an escort?"

Leonardo smiled and shook Arcturus's hand, "Ah! Yes, but I'm afraid I've yet to recover young Teka. He's being stubborn, but not to worry! I have my must loyal worker fetching him right now. In the meantime, I'll ask that you hold onto this woman for us. She isn't exactly a fighter, yet. But, she is a valuable asset to us. You see, there are only a select few we can use as weapons. There is a certain trait, and this woman has said trait." Leonardo removed the woman's hood, revealing her long blond hair. He cocked her head so that Arcturus could see her face. He opened one of her eyes, "You see? The red eyes tell if they are compatible. Without that, there isn't much of a chance that they will survive the process." Leonardo let the woman slump back down and replaced the hood. "If things go how we want them to, we'll have Teka tonight. However, I've been informed that he has been hiding something from us that could cause some trouble. I ask that you be patient while we deal with Teka. So, are the terms agreeable?"

Nethrin fixed his helmet as Mathias settled. "We'll be in Anduria shortly, but for the sake of secrecy, you must refrain from speaking. If our contract were to be found out, it would have to end, and I could not protect your sister. We may have to fight Teka, so be ready. I'll leave you in control for the duration of the fight, so we will not harm Teka, at least not fatally. Now, are you ready?"

Mathias, getting usedt to looking through Nethrin's visor, nodded, which made Nethrin perform the same motion. "Yes. But before we go, I must ask you something. What will become of Isabel if we don't get Teka?" Mathias didn't have to wait, as his mind was linked to Nethrin, and he instantly knew the answer. "Alright, then. But let's not mess this up..."

"Agreed."

"M-M'lor-" A sudden shiver went through Akivir, he stood up his back straight, and he covered his awith his hood's shade, "Damn-it, that damn fool that tried to take this body is still there. My lord, What will we do with the queen? I can't keep her in this vial, shall I make a staff, or blade to lock her in while we retrive her body?" Akivir walked to his master and bit his thumb in the direction Arcturus walked.

Lamkit followed Teka and Sortai, "Let me honors," he said walking to the gaurds, he whispered a word in one's ear and he bowed. "your leniage procedes you, I'm the hier, let my friends and I through please." He saw the gaurd glance at Teka, "he is cursed, we are looking for cures, but at the moment he shall look like that." Lamkit nodded not knowing the truth.
PostPosted: Wed May 05, 2010 9:06 pm

Sortai walked forth with Lamkit and Teka. The looks on the guards faces were of pure terror. Once more Sortai felt an urge to simply wrestle the mask from Teka, but he suppressed it. After all, he had to trust the few people he actually could with all the trust he could muster. And he was sure Teka would explain everything in due course. Once the three of them were back in the room, he kicked aside the bits of ceiling plaster, made sure the door was locked, and turned to Teka. "Alright. Does it matter if our guest stays?" He said 'our guest' in case Lamkit didn't want Teka to know.

Arcturs cocked his head. "I'm intrigued by your description of your select few as 'weapons'... But while I wish I could accept your gracious offer, I am not the one in charge. I have ties in Anduria, however, that will assure removal of any pesky security, though. His Majesty is expecting you. Plead your case well." He nodded curtly, eyes lingering upon the womans face for several seconds. "Red eyes..." There may yet be a use for the other son of Sunahr. "Leonardo... I'm sure you know the old king of Vessuld, Sunahr, and of his son Seth? I had it arranged to where he would die in an upcoming 'siege' against this castle, but he may be of use to you... You see, he, unlike his father and brother, has red eyes."

Cthulhu spat at Akivir. "You sicken me. After the transpired events, the Elven queen holds very little importance to me... But, very little importance it is, she must be dealt with." He pointed to the corner of the room where K'eychei sat. "Behind K'eychei there is a small hatch. Open it, retrieve one of the black eggs, and seal her soul within it. They are demonic dragon eggs, and will hatch a mere hour after being bonded with a soul. If, after your failure, you cannot regain her body, then we will still be able to use her on the field of battle... As her soul will prove powerful in the flesh of K'eychei's kin..."

(Dude, didn't i tell you to hit it? lol)

Icemaw smiled at Tobias. "She was honorable, but much to old to continue her reign. She left to the dragon wastes to die in peace." He said with a slight chuckle. "Though it seems peace come sparesly nowadays..." With an nod of his white head, Icemaw took the form of a old looking cleric. His white robes matched that of the pale skin and snow white beard. Pulling the hood over his head, Icemaw smiled in this human form. "Tobias, if i may, i would like to read the Tome of Diakar, my great-great grandmothers spellbook. Last i heard, she had left it here in your library for safe keeping."

Regius turned away from Tobias, the castle, and Icemaw and spoek few words of magic. Within seconds, he and the body of Meesha were in giant tomb. Looking into the cavern were he stood no more than weeks ago, he laughed manically. Grinning with the anticipation, Regius conjured a blood red mirror. Holding his blade in one claw, his other claw picked up teh lifeless husk. "See now Cthulhu! Her body is mine, as her spirit yours! If you wish it, then let us compromise." He said, waiting for a response.

Akur laughed as the arrows glanced off his hide. "Weaklings! All of you! You wish me to fight on the ground! Then so be it!" He said as he hovered above teh archers for a few moments. Then, with speed that made him seem like a blur, he landed on teh rebel archers, smashing them with his claws. Feeling the Dark Priests dismount, Akur swept his front claw at some soldier taht were struck by his dragon fear. "Is there noone that can pose a challenge to me?!" He yelled, his eyes red with bloodlust.
