Rigel couldn't speak any further as he witnessed the lady throw a tantrum before him, cursing and scolding him for being.. insane? Was he? If anything, he found himself quite normal compared to an average human being. Maybe just a little on the taller side but overall, normal nonetheless. He didn't know how to answer her question except stare at her with his silly grin smeared across his lips. It was when she stopped talking that Rigel realized he had been holding his breath. This short pause in between, is this the cue for him to speak? He pointed to himself once more, plain idiocy showing upon his features. "Me? Insane? That's impossible. Now I know you're just scared of a new environment but there's no need to throw tantrums now, is there?" countered the man as he scratched his head in return, not knowing just how to deal with this tiny thing of a human being.
Her cheeks flushed all of a sudden, as if he had said something to anger her even further. Once again, the woman had accused him. This time, him being an attacker. His features would deadpan staring in complete awe as he automatically tuned out what she said next. He would cross his arms and let out a huff in return, "I mean, I've heard kids call me a pirate, but never an attacker- Do I really..?"
A sharp pain pierced through his shoulders and he let out a cry as she repeatedly pounded against his arm."Ow! It hurts! Stop that!" he brought his arms up and shielded himself. He didn't want to alarm her by grabbing hold of her hands so suddenly so instead, without thinking twice, he held her underneath her arms and lifted her up with ease, as if he was carrying a toddler in his hands. His arms were extended as far as he could if it meant she wouldn't hit his shoulder any further. It was no surprise if they were bruised at this point. Twenty years old, she said? Children lying about their age were rather common these days. Oh, such a problematic.. child? "Oh-.. um-" it was then, he noticed the strangely abnormal size of her chest. So she wasn't lying? He'd lift his gaze and look at her with his golden orbs, still contemplating whether he should believe her. With another glance at her bosoms, he decided to put her down. Turns out she wasn't shoplifting items by stuffing her breasts.
"Well, why didn't you just say so! Sorry about that.. I didn't mean to-.." and just when they'd think he's done talking, "..but hey, you're pretty tiny for a twenty year old. Is it even normal?"

▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬"Then you must be an idiot then! A moron!" Zara retorted in response to his denial of his insanity. She didn't have any reason to think of him as not mentally insane. He had to be! No man would be this absolutely at loss. But it seemed as if he hadn't taken a liking to her accusing him of attacking her. Technically he was attacking her... you know... verbally. She coincidentally crossed her arms and huffed the same exact time he had. She stuck her nose in the air as bratty as ever, and refused to take any recognition to whatever excuse he had. To simply put it - there was no excuse!
But oh was he asking for it! She hadn't seized hitting him since he called her a child again, and hearing hims tell her to stop only made he want to hit him more. He can't tell her what to do! She's grown! Zara was feeling somewhat better letting out her frustration on him - that was until he decided to pick her up, of course. She let out a gasp. "Harassment! This is harassment!" She cried, squirming about. He eventually let go of her (that was until after he had stolen a couple glances at her chest) and apologized thereafter. But Zara wasn't so forgiving.
The siren straightened herself out, blowing at a lock of blond hair that fell in her view, feeling absolutely shaken and distressed. He just hadn't stopped there. He just had to keep poking fun of her height. Its not like she could help it. Everyone was short in her family. Even the men couldn't get anywhere past 5'10. It's not as if she had much of a choice. "You're pretty slow for a man your age. Is that even normal?" Whatever his age was, it certainly didn't match up with his mentality, did it? God, Zara was ready to get as far away from him as possible.♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ Grocery Store || ᴡɪᴛʜ a Bully || ᴀᴄᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ $1000 sᴛᴀᴛᴜs Single || ᴍᴏᴏᴅ Embarrassed and Ticked || ᴡᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ Casual

An idiot. Now that was a phrase he's been called many times over the course of twenty five years. Rigel shrugged nonchalantly, finding her constant whining quite ear piercing. "You have this really high pitched voice there, it's piercing my eardrums-" he'd counter when she was done speaking, rubbing his fingers gently against his ears as he whimpered. Somehow in this moment, he had craved ever so slightly for Camil's disability in hearing, tune out his surroundings. Then again, he had been doing that since he was a child. Straight up tuning people out if he didn't want to listen. He wasn't about to do that to her, though, he knew she'd most probably throw punches at him again.
Now, he wasn't exactly fond of being accused of harassment and once again, he'd eye the woman with eyes that screamed "Liar!" before he brushed her off with another shrug. "I was just trying to help.." he twiddled his fingers, his expression full of guilt once he realized what he had done wrong. He was often mistook as a sexual predator when he only meant well, to the point the local police in London recognized him for his many accusations. It wasn't hard to tell this whole situation was a misunderstanding when they realize just how blunt and idiotic he was. "Am I, really? I don't think I'm slow.. I don't think you look just five years younger than me either.." he murmured, scratching his cheek as he began to ponder. Perhaps around ten years younger? Eleven years younger? Rigel would sneak a glance at her -obviously displeased- expression as a silly grin start to surface. With an arm looped around her shoulder like a heavy weight, he'd say: "You remind me of children so I like you! What's your name? I'm Rigel!"

▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬It was all over. Said and done. Zara smoothed her clothing over until it satisfied her, then placed her hands on her hips authoritatively, accepting his complaints on her voice being too high. She'll give him that. Which Siren's voice isn't high pitched? However, his whimpering and expressiveness of his underlying guilt made the blond sigh and shake her head sympathetically. Very, very, very small amount of sympathy, but sympathy nonetheless. "Even if I was a child, no girl likes to be treated as such." she retorted, one hand still on her hip, the other rubbing her shoulder - the phantom pain from him grabbing her was still lingering.
Even had she not looked her age - Zara did still have a baby face, she was well aware - everything else about her was quite simply far from childlike, wasn't it not? The way she dressed, the way she walked, her figure - not at all the body of a child young enough to be lost and distressed about her missing mother. The man was slow. And it was as simple as that. But Zara was tired of the bothersome and tiresome exchange of words and made no efforts in responding.
Finally glancing up at him, getting a good look at the man in front of her, she caught him in the moment of switching over to a goofy grin. Zara took half a step back, expecting the worse, but the man had already gotten hold of her, looping his arm around her shoulder and pulling her back in. She rolled her eyes, and removed his arm from around her shoulder, "If you've seen me after dark you'd reconsider rating me TV-GA." she muttered, not so much for him to hear, but she wouldn't be surprised if he had anyways. "Zara..." she said monotonously. She might as well be polite and give him the name he so enthusiastically asked for.♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ Grocery Store || ᴡɪᴛʜ a Bully || ᴀᴄᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ $1000 sᴛᴀᴛᴜs Single || ᴍᴏᴏᴅ Embarrassed and Ticked || ᴡᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ Casual

He'd look at her as if what she said was absolutely bonkers but Rigel would take note of it nonetheless. "Really? My siblings would ask me to pick them up and spin them around." as annoying as it may seem to be addressed as if she were a child, when he spoke of his younger siblings, his expression would soften noticeably and he would speak of them as if they were angels. They weren't quite, though. As angelic as they appear to be, his siblings were satan's little helpers, just waiting to pounce on poor Rigel whenever he'd walk by with chips in his hands. He'd take notice of her hands that would rub the area he once so forcefully grabbed her. Was she hurt? In pain? He'd poke her arm with his finger to inspect if she could feel pain at all.
It was only after that, that he'd ask if she was alright. "You alright there? Does it hurt?" once again, his concern would show upon his features but this time, he refrained from touching herbat all. Tiny people were always fragile, that was what he learned after today, and the many similar events that took place previously.
His golden orbs would widen as she displayed her reluctance of having his arm around her shoulder. He took no offence to it. In fact, with how simple-minded he is, it was near impossible for him to take anything to offence at all. He could hear her speak with her inaudible tone though it sounded fairly clear to him. As dense as he was, he'd offer her a blunt response. "Why would I want to see you after dark? If anything, I'd be appreciating the slumber I hardly receive these few days." he countered as he held his hands up in surrender and shook his head. He'd take another glance at her. After dark..? Isn't that the time people would be busy with their "willie wankies"? His features would cloud with horror and he'd take a step back. Oh, no. He definitely do not want to see her that way. A light redness would dust his cheeks as he pretended to gaze at his bag of tomatoes.
"Zara? As in 'princessy'? Well, you certainly do act like one-.." he scratched his chin. The next time he looked at her was when she'd introduce herself.. rather unenthusiastically. "Stop looking so gloomy. I have a feeling we'd get along real nice." once again, he'd wrap his arms around her shoulder and give her a solid pat on her arms.

▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬He was being a lot more considerate now in comparison to how he treated her earlier. Zara could at least say that much. And he spoke of his little siblings with such a soft, nostalgic way, it may Zara a little jealous that she didn't have younger siblings - or siblings at all until as of the recent years. It would have been fun to be a child with other children around you, wouldn't it? ButZara showed no obvious signs of envy to Rigel. She wasn't quite ready to soften up to him yet. "They asked you to pick them up... I didn't." she countered with a huff.
Zara barely had noticed she was massaging the shoulder Rigel had grabbed. She was unconsciously taking noticed of the faint ache she felt. It was he who had brought it to her attention that she was doing it, and in response, Zara stopped and shook her head, "I'm fine! I'm fine... it just... it's fine." she brushed it off.
Rigel was a touchy-feely man. It made Zara slightly uncomfortable. It was a bit foreign to her making such physical contact unless it was coming from Vixen, Crevan, Alexander - or you know... a lover. And the fact that he was so persistent in maintaining such physical contact added on the discomfort she felt. It sort of surprised her when he went wide eyed to her removing his arm. But he didn't comment on it, in fact, his general reaction was short lived. The blonde supposed it was comment she made afterwards that pulled his attention from it.
His initial response got a brow raise and a half smile from Zara, but as it dawned on Rigel what Zara was referring to, his blushing and modesty made the siren giggle melodically.
Zara as in princess... she shrugged, accepting his opinion. "Suppose I do." she said acceptingly, this time allowing him to put his arm around her shoulder. It made no point to fight it again this time. It wasn't like he was catching on to the hint. ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ Grocery Store || ᴡɪᴛʜ Rigel || ᴀᴄᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ $1000 sᴛᴀᴛᴜs Single || ᴍᴏᴏᴅ Amused || ᴡᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ Casual

"B-but you were hitting me- I didn't know what else I can do to stop you-" He didn't want to startle her any further though it appears he still did so when he lifted her up. He didn't seem to realize it, however. "I wouldn't have picked you up if you'd just cut back on your punching, just that tee..ny bit." he'd exaggerate his words as he phrased the word 'tiny' with his fingers. It seems Rigel wasn't quite a person who'd care much about other people's feelings but usually, he meant well. If he weren't 'harassing' his victims, that is.
Whenever the woman would speak in a tone that reassembled a panicked manner, the man wouldn't move an inch. He didn't want to risk the chances of picking her up like a toddler again.
His embarrassment was short lived when the woman would then giggle at his slow reactions. "Oh, hey- you laughed." Rigel paused, finally taking in her appearance he hasn't paid much attention to until now. "You should do that a little more often. It kinda look good on you." he stated, picking a tomato out of her bag and replacing it with the one of the many he had within his basket. "Wow, you're pretty bad at choosing tomatoes." It appeared paler than the rest. It wasn't a good tomato. He couldn't blame her though, he had chosen most of the good ones. Not that he realized, either.
He chuckled, quite surprised that she hadn't removed his hand from her shoulder. Then again, it wasn't as if he would stop. He wasn't doing it on purpose though. It was one of his many disturbing reflex actions. "See? Ain't too bad now, is it?" he scratched his chin but he'd fall silent soon after as he gazed at her through his visible eye. "Can I ask you one quick question? I'm pretty curious." but of course, he didn't wait until she gave him her answer.
"Have your friends ever lose you in a huge crowd before-"

▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬Seems like Rigel wasn't so good at keeping his mouth shut. Zara apologetically shrugged after hearing his complaint about her hitting him, but the way he exaggerated "tiny" thereafter got him slapped again. "Stop." Zara hissed, knowing damn well it was still in reference to her short stature. Though it seemed that in her moments of annoyance, embarrassment, and panic, Rigel would freeze, as if he was approaching a terrified rabbit. And for some reason, that ticked Zara off too. She narrowed her eyes at him and pursed her lips waiting for him to say something else that would annoy her, but he hadn't. And for that she was somewhat relieved.
"Oh hey - you laughed," Zara put her index finger over her lips to hush herself, looking away unwilling to reveal, or more so, accept that she had laughed. She was going to give him the privilege. "You should do that more often. It kinda look good on you." She huffed in response, but watched as he had replaced a tomato of hers with one of his. He spoke poorly of her choices of tomatoes and Zara subconsciously rolled her eyes, "You stocked up on all the good ones. Who are you even feeding all that too anyways?" She eyed, furrowing her eyebrows curiously. Rigel's basket of groceries was fairly... odd. Cabbages and tomatoes. Tons of 'em. But surely it wasn't just for him right? Probably just from a large household, she assumed.
Now, getting over Zara's general discomfort towards Rigel, she ignored his taking notice of her warming up to him (but only by the slightest, Zara still very much wanted to lay a few more punches on him), the man thought it would have been the perfect opportunity to ask her a question that only ticked the siren off again. "Christ sake." She said, pushing his arm off her shoulder, turning her back to him, facing her cart, and walking away, "I've decided I don't like you!" She responded halfheartedly.♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ Grocery Store || ᴡɪᴛʜ Rigel || ᴀᴄᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ $1000 sᴛᴀᴛᴜs Single || ᴍᴏᴏᴅ Amused to Ticked || ᴡᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ Casual

"Stop that! Violence isn't nice." he wailed, rubbing the area on his arm where her tiny palms had slapped. He never liked violence, in fact, he hated it, along with people who were prone to violence. Rigel would frown but then again, he was never one who'd portray such negative emotions. If anything, he'd love to bring smiles to a person's face, like how he made her giggle earlier though it seems she's starting to hit him for everything he's saying.
Did he say something wrong? She is a pretty small person, after all.
Once his habit of purchasing a full basket of tomatoes were pointed out, his golden irises would lower to his few baskets, then at people who had trolleys with tiny bags of vegetables. "Well, the early bird gets the worm." was it that strange to pick out so many tomatoes at once? Her tone of voice sounded almost confused. "Oh, you mean these? These are all for me-.. and Camil of course, but they're mostly for me." answered the man as if he had achieved a pleasant accomplishment. It was until she grew frustrated of him that he had finally snapped back into his senses. Confused at her anger, the man picked up his baskets and walked in her direction. It didn't take long for him to catch up to her with the long legs he was blessed with. Once again, he'd speak in a manner that most probably tick her off even further.
"Oh, come on. Stop being so uptight." he laughed, then paused as he tried to recall something within the depths of his mind. "Hey, y'know, don't they always say that women are dishonest with their feelings? I mean, you don't have to be shy to tell me that you like me, too." he rubbed the back of his head as the goofy grin slowly crept across his features. He'd stand in front of her cart to stop her from going any further but he figured she might try to run him over with those tiny wheels so instead, he'd follow beside her wherever she went.

▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇ ▇▇▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬But of course he followed. She expected him to follow her after she had walked away from him. He didn't seem like the type to let someone just leave him in the dust. Rigel was a persistent man, wasn't he?Zara liked that trait in men. It was fun giving them a little run around for her; but Rigel was different. She actually really wanted him to go away. He was sorta hurting her feelings honestly. It wasn't her fault she was so small! It's not as if she chose to be this short! It's not like she enjoys having to climb counter tops and buy stepping stools just to reach stupid things on the stupid top shelf. The siren puffed up her cheeks, childishly, a little upset that she had to be reminded of her small build.
Hearing him call her uptight only made her all the more pouty. Uptight?! She? Zara Kenzo?! Well, she has never heard that one yet. She rather being called spoiled, or bratty, or... a b***h! But uptight?! Uptight was drinking white wine in a black satin gown and black red bottom heels in the middle of a cheese testing tour! Uptight was slick back buns and stupid, pointless, meaningless conversations over toasted baguette and cavier! Zara was not uptight - and she certainly was not shy! She stopped in her tracks and looked up at him; pout and all. "Shy? Well that's a brand new one, too, isn't it?! Me! Shy!" Rigel was lucky he was smart enough not to walk in front of her cart. She would have ran him right over! And she'd watch him fall heartlessly and it would have been a grand ol' time! "I don't trust men like you." Zara puffed her chest up, and put her hand son her hip, "No good. I'd have the right mind you're only working me up to catch me at a vulnerable time, huh? You're not so innocent are you, Rigel? I've been told that men always play with women just to get a little something out of her.♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ ♢ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ Grocery Store || ᴡɪᴛʜ Rigel || ᴀᴄᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ $1000 sᴛᴀᴛᴜs Single || ᴍᴏᴏᴅ Ticked || ᴡᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ Casual

I'm feeling: Confused, Surprised | I'm with: Zara | I'm wearing: Casual | I have feelings for: No One | I have: $1000
It wasn't hard for a dense person to notice she's angry with him just by a single glance. The pout on her face, her darkened features, her words. They were almost painful for him to watch. He wasn't doing it on purpose, he was just known to speak his mind in a very straightforward manner, which is also the reason why he had made so many enemies without knowing. He usually comes off as arrogant, stuck up and snobbish but truthfully, he's the complete opposite. Rigel's a gentle giant, though he's not quite gentle speaking wise. He means well, was what his friends usually said when he had upset a certain someone. His way of speaking has no boundaries, which was also why his former boss at the salon liked him so much though at times he'd want to strangle Rigel for his overly straightforward comments at times.
He came to a halt when she looked up at him with a pout on her face. Confused, he simply gazed at her as his lips parted in attempt to speak. "Did I say something wrong again?" asked Rigel as worry had finally started to surface upon his chiseled features. This time, concern would actually start to show through his dense outer shell and he'd finally start to be careful with his words even though he knew full-well he'd still upset her even further despite his attempts.
And his many distractions wasn't quite helping him either.
His previous attempt to be careful with his words disappeared altogether and his mind was now focused on the words she shot at him just seconds ago. "I don't trust men like you." with that, he'd find himself even more confused than ever. What kind of a man was he? What did she not trust? Did he look like a person who's not worthy of anyone's trust at all? "That's the first time I've been told- I mean, I've been called a pimp just yesterday but.. I didn't think I'd look untrustworthy?" he answered almost as if he was attempting to defend what's left of his pride. He didn't understand, all he did was speak what came to his mind. Was it wrong for him to be honest? Wasn't that what people wanted? Honesty? Truth? Then why is she angry? At the mention of toying with women, Rigel felt as if his mind was about to explode. He couldn't handle so many accusations at one go, let alone accusations coming from her. He wasn't innocent? He was usually told the opposite so it was quite surprising to hear such things coming from her. Does she have a problem with perceptions? Zara seemed to have the opposite idea of him compared to what everyone else thought. He was confused. Then what kind of a person was he? An idea lingered around his mind when she brought up how men toyed with women. His expression took a small shift, and he'd have a cheeky smirk on his face when he bent forward to her level. "In the presence of a beautiful woman, how can I not?" his single golden iris glimmered beneath his navy blue locks as he spoke with a deep voice. He had a different demeanor altogether, as if he were a different person.
However, for someone like Rigel, it was near impossible for him to keep up his act for long. He'd feel his cheeks flush a deep shade of red and he'd back away with his grocery baskets in hand as he shook his head. "No, no, no! I can't do these types of things!" he whined and he huffed and puffed. It felt too embarrassing to get upclose to a stranger. Bot with his state of mind.

Magic ring? That's kinda the first the fox heard in her life. She knew about the other species but a magic ring.. was kinda out of her context to even think there was such a thing, but if that is what the male said, then she wouldn't argue with me on that. It was quick impressive to have that ring. Though just as the two left the gates of the museum and made their way to the grocery store, they were having a pleasant chat, slightly getting to know each other as they walked. "So what are you planning to make for dinner?", she asked as he invited her over to his place and make a plate for her as well, "You're too kind to do such a thing, maybe I can give you a hand if I know what you'll make." Miki on the other hand, didn't mind helping the male male dinner, it was the best she could do. They were both hungry, so having just one more person to help prepare dinner could go by quick so they wouldn't have to wait too long before one could collapse in hunger.
Arriving to the store, the doors slide up as they got closed to the entrance. Miki looked back the entrance, picking up one basket from the stack, and made her way more into the store. "Alright, let's start getting the ingredients for that dinner of yours you are planning to make." Miki let out a small smile to Ku then walked to one of the isles and looked around for anything she may need in her place. ☽✮☾✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮✭✮☽✭☾

Thanks to the help of the GPS, Sahar managed to get them to the grocery store without getting turned around once. Yay! It was nice not getting lost for once. It wasn't until they were inside the building that his feet touched the ground again. "Here we are, mister- Oh, I never got your name, did I? How rude of me, I am Sahar!" He introduced himself as they headed over to the counter so the man could pick out his cigarettes.
