Tony had simply shaken his head when the other man questioned if he believed him or not, he offered an easy smile to the smaller male"Not my place to say, if you can then you can. If you can't then you can't, it's not a big deal either way"he chose to give an honest answer to the others statement. It was true that he was doubtful of the others ability to lift those weights but his opinion didn't matter because if Hope could lift them then great! If not then it was no big deal, they got all types here at the gym and it was always surprising to see what some people could and couldn't do. As the two of them walked he nodded his head in acknowledgement and a friendly smile on his face"Well if you choose to make the gym a regular stop you'll begin to notice things as you come and go"he explained to Hope as they reached the private yoga room. Once he showed the other the Star Jumps he started the timer and watched him take the position and jumped into the air but Tony was completely caught off guard by the loud thump that followed with his landing. Oh. Well then that was interesting. He saw the other man begin to blush a bit and stutter out an apology before stating that he was quite heavy and Tony couldn't hold back his own fit of chuckles. Tony quickly shook his head as a wide smile was on his face"Don't....don't worry Hope!"he got out between chuckles before finally calming down and smiling at the other man"You get all types at the gym, this is just par for the course, it just caught me off guard was all"he explained to Hope with a big grin and restarting the timer on his stopwatch"No need to feel self conscious, just keep doing them until I say Hope"he stated with a smile on his face, well this was an interesting day so far. He could only hope that Hope didn't feel uncomfortable around him after that because he genuinely wasn't being judgmental about anything. (OOC: No problem, irl is more important than gaia biggrin )

It had taken him a lot of willpower to go outside in this weather. Not to mention his day didn't exactly start well with a splitting headache from the louder thunderstorms followed by the long conversation with his father over the phone which had been much about the same things. How Robin had to settle down, do his study and find himself a mate. That whole 'a' mate concept alone was odd to the feline.
After all in the forest the males had more than one female and on top of that Robin was not interested in females. "Why can't he just leave me be..." the nekojin muttered under his breath while his tail swished irritably for a short moment before he looked up at his surroundings again and realized he was close to the gym already. He was wearing an easy outfit of sleek jeans with a white shirt and a hooded jacket over it. He even had some hike shoes on while he usually worn boots rather. Over his shoulder he had a small bag that had swimming clothes and a towel, since he was planning to go for a swim. At least the pool in the gym would be dry from rain. The only water would be what he was swimming in and that was the water Robin loved. It wasn't the sea, but it would have to do in a pinch.
Since he wasn't sure if Dyl would be at the shores right now it seemed him unwise to go surf. His biggest issue with rain was that he couldn't surf though. Robin stepped inside the gym and walked straight to the desk. He wasn't interested in a gym subscription since he only came for a swim so he paid his entrance to the clerk and walked on towards the pool. It only took him a moment to take off the easy set of clothes and put on his trunks before he quickly stuffed his bag now holding his general clothes in a locker and half raced towards the pool. He had almost hoped it would be like the recreation pool at home, though it was a bit odd to be met with a contest pool, but it would do. The feline stretched, twitching his ears and stretching his tail and then he smiled a bit and jumped into the water.
He did wonder if they had any fun attributes here but for now he would be content just drifting in the water. There were some other people around him, but right now Robin did not attempt to socialize. That wasn't one of his strongest skills either way. The only communication he had as swam around was when a kid hit a ball against him and he gave it back. Thankfully it was a soft ball or Robin would have been a lot less Amicable, child or no. After telling them to watch out for their fellow swimmers, he watched the child go and continue their play like nothing happened. Robin couldn't even imagine a youth like that. He had been very young when he joined his first hunt, shot his first animal and brought meat to the table and hide and skin for leather and such.

Alright so today the personal trainer was on pool duty today, the lifeguard they normally had on duty called out sick and the other one wasn't picking up their phone for now so he'd have to play trainer and lifeguard. So with that Tony switched into a pair of red swimming trunks and let his badge hand over his bare chest as he walked into the pool area. Now not only did he have to teach his swim class but he'd also have to keep an eye on all the pool goers, thankfully he was certified so he could do this. So Tony would give two loud claps"Alright, kids who are in the swim class and we'll begin now. Those of you who aren't I just ask you avoid the deepest part of the pool for now as I am also doubling as the lifeguard on duty as well!"he announced as a small group of kids who were splashing in the shallow end of the pool gathered around Tony while their Mothers joined them to help in the process. He grinned a little bit at all the up and coming swimmers that were present in the pool "Alright kids, even if the weather outside is icky I'm glad you all came today. So I hope you all remember what I taught you during our last class because now we'll be practicing what you learnt now!"from there Tony began to ease the little ones into the days lesson by having them quickly review the basics of floating and slow paddling before moving on to the breaststrokes that they began to pick up on during the last class. All the while he kept his eyes on the rest of the swimmers in the pool while the Mothers all tried their best to keep their children focused on the lesson. The entire thing went rather smoothly for the personal trainer as he was helping a little girl who was crying in frustration over her failure to swim like the other kids"Hey now, don't cry. Everyone learns at their own pace, just try one more time and let me see how you're doing. Please?"he gently coaxed the girl into calming her tears before she began to repeat the motions that she's been doing before beginning to cry again in frustration. He shook his head with a small smile on his face"I can tell you why you're not moving"the small girl looked up at him as Tony raised his hand up a bit as he squatted in the water as a gentle smile was on his face"It's because your hands are open, you have to keep them closed, kind of like you're about to give someone a high five!"she giggled a little bit at the wording and he nodded his head"Want to give it a try again, but this time with your hands closed?"the small child seemed eager to give it a go this time around was the look of excitement when she began to move through the water made him smile at the sight as he looked around. Each of the kids were learning at their own pace, some were better than others but they were all improving and in a coastal city like Soleil a skill like swimming would be invaluable.

It wasn't the ocean which he preferred, but it still wasn't to bad and it was definitely better than sulking at home as he glowered out of his window at the clouds in the sky that insisted to dump their load onto the tropical island. The feline much preferred the warm sun, like any cat would. He was shaken from his thought train when he heard two loud claps though and he winced as he put his hands over his sensitive ears. It had echoed louder than the people in the pool. Robin looked around the pool to see where that sound had come from and it didn't take him long to find out. It seemed a lot of parents with their children were here for what the tall guy called Swim class as they all gathered around him.
The feline sighed a bit but at first he didn't pay much attention to it after that. After all whatever they were on about it clearly had nothing to do with him. Still even though Robin swam on for while, once they started he couldn't help but be distracted by it. Of course the man's voice carried well in the pool, like most did, but also because of the children and the feline ended up watching the group for a while. In the end Robin was relaxing in the water as he floated a bit and he had his arms on the side of the pool, while his head rested on his arms with his ears towards the group curiously.
It had a striking 'semblance with how he had lived his first time in the lake at home with the tribe before his father had dragged him away. Only in Robin's case he was just thrown in the deep and it had been a sort of guided swim or sink experience. Not that the Nekojin felt bad about it. It had served him well and he had become one of the better swimmers among his peers. Though nowadays he preferred to surf and spend time on the beach and in the ocean. It just had a lot more interest from Robin than always being in the same pool. The ocean was ever changing after all.

Once the days swim lesson was winding down most of the little kids would be paddling around, each taking to their own style of swimming. Some took exactly to his way of showing them, others kind of used his lessons as a guideline of sorts to do their own method of swimming. Of course Tony was fine with all their methods as long as they were effective and safe. Finally Tony would do two more claps to get the kids attention one more time"Alright kids you all did an excellent job today! I during our next lesson we're going to begin covering ocean safety and what to do if the water carries you out. Until next class!"he explained to the little ones who simply began to play around with each other as they usually did. Tony for his part tried to turn on his heel to get out of the water as fast as he could because he knew what was going to happen next. However it seemed as though the Mothers remembered the last class where he rushed to the tall lifeguard chair because suddenly there was one behind him and several others almost materializing out of thin air. How did they do that!? These Mothers all began to praise him for how well he handled the children, all four of these Mothers were practically gushing over him, commenting about how much their kids loved him, how he was such a good person, how great his body looked. Why hadn't he worn a swim shirt today?! He tried his best to be polite to them and even glanced over their heads to the other Mothers present but all of them just looked annoyed at their tactics as he was but none of them made a move to help the poor guy. Meanwhile he had all but tuned out their words as he desperately looked for a way to get out of this situation, anything at all no matter how tiny. This was the one time he wished for a kid to run by the side of the pool! However that's when he saw him, his saving grace. A young man who hadn't heeded his earlier request to stay out of the deep end! And just in time too because he saw one of the more bold of the four women began to reach down to do something to his rear end that he was going to have nightmares over if it happened"I'm sorry ladies, someone is violating one of the rules and I have to go speak with them. Good day and tell your Husbands that I said hi!"he all but shouldered past them as he dove into the water towards the young man floating along minding his own business. The Mothers didn't even get a chance to protest as Tony was gone and they looked very annoyed at this moment as he escaped their well manicured hands once more and managed to live another day. Once he was next to the young man floating along Tony looked at him with a desperate look"Hey listen, please just keep doing your thing for a while, OK? Act like you're ignoring me please!"Tony didn't dare to look over his shoulder as it would tip the Mothers off"Those four have been creeping on me since their kids started the class...it's the one thing I dread..."he kept his voice low so that it didn't carry over the water and was drowned out by the general sounds of children playing and the banter of other people"Just...please...let me know when they finally leave.."the desperation in his voice was evident as as he reached up and pointed at him to keep up the illusion of scolding him as he spoke.

He just got out of a splitting headache caused by the loud thunder, he was not eager to have another episode. It would seem something was going on though. As the mothers turned to crowd around the teacher after the class. The feline blinked a bit at this unusual behavior. He wasn't knew to polygamy, but all at once in the same moment? Sure the man looked well toned and quite handsome even to the younger Robin, but the females seemed to take it to the extreme, though it didn't look like the man was enjoying the attention.
It didn't escape the nekojin that they suddenly crossed gazes and they seemed to get away and make a beeline for him through the water. Robin's ears went down halfway as a confused expression formed when the man reached him and started talking. Usually Robin wasn't to keen on helping random strangers, but this man had surprised him to a point where he just turned to do as he asked to return to his previous relaxing pose. From this pose he could oversee the pool and the only movement that betrayed he was actually not just sitting there but listening were his ears as they twitched at times. They sounded pretty desperate to be rid of these women. Once Robin realized the situation though, he grimaced a bit before he laughed.
"what?! Don't tell me you are on the run for a group of ladies?" he said, though he kept his voice low as he did, clearly amused, though he wasn't exactly laughing at Tony, but at the situation. "Here I was thinking I had done something wrong, or stared to much or something." the feline said, still chuckling softly. the idea was kind of absurd to him. But he came from a culture where it was normal for a male to have about 13 mates, though not always female. They were quite liberal. In Robin's case there never had been a female, just males. "Why don't you just tell them you aren't interested?" he asked calmly once he stopped laughing at the situation. This man was strong looking after all, yet he ran from a bunch of girls.
The feline's gaze went to the group of women and his ears dropped a bit when one was glowering at him for, to him, no apparent reason, but he ignored it and looked back at the man next to him. Still their movements had been slightly confusing until he learned they were putting up an act. To Robin it seemed the logical solution. Tell them you don't want to get involved with them and they should leave you alone. It had always worked for him. It wasn't like he had zero female attention, the feeling just wasn't mutual and he often let down girls by telling them outright he wasn't interested. They always left him alone after that. For some reason they always seemed to fall for his ears. "What will you do if they don't leave anytime soon?" he wondered idly as he glanced at the mothers and back to the man near him.

Tony couldn't help but let out a small sigh of relief when the other male began to do as was asked of him and simply began to laze back and relax in the water. He only needed this chance to get away from them, they never followed him when he was doing his job thankfully. However he visibly winced a bit when the other laughed at his plight and Tony let out a small sigh as he nodded his head just lightly enough for him to see"Yes, I am..they're very....aggressive..."he stated with an exasperated look on his face. But the Personal trainer did shake his head a bit more when the other mentioned what he thought was happening"Oh no, you're fine. It was just convenient for me is all"however when the Nekojin posed his question Tony would look a bit crestfallen for a moment as he lost his more upbeat energy for a moment"I have, on multiple occasions but they're stubborn women who're bored with their Husbands. So they set their sights on me, especially since I'm single"he then sighed"On top of that I have to watch what I say, it's not hard for four women to get a man fired from his job. Especially since I also work with children quite often..."Tony was sure he didn't need to elaborate on that and instead just offered a small smile instead, forced as it may be at this moment. It was a good question for the other to ask and thankfully though Tony knew these women well enough"Well I just need to make it to the lifeguard chair, then I can tell them that I'm busy and they usually leave after a bit..."usually was the key word here of course and Tony could feel the Mother's gazes stabbing him through the back, they were just waiting to pounce on him again. It was a short swim to the high chair but the women were quick themselves and he'd have to rush if anything"Could you...maybe swim with me to the chair please!? Maybe under the guise that I'm reading you the rules or something? I'll do anything!"he all but begged the Nekojin at this point, there was a clipboard on top of the chair that held a long list of rules for the pool and it would help out with the illusion for just a while longer.

He hadn't exactly been in the habit of helping others in his last passed years. Still his friendly mentality had not worn off and eventually it made him decide to help this man, even though they did kind of come at him out of the blue. To be fair the feline wasn't accustomed to anyone needing his help with anything. And when he heard what the other was actually worried about he tilted his head and drooped his ears a bit. "Ah..." he said understanding the situation a bit more. The way he grew up after the forest, he had heard multiple times about how men were easily put out of their function just by some women claiming events which may or may not have happened.
"I knew there was a reason why I don't bother with women..." he stated, more to himself than anyone in particular. In this 'world' outside of his little childhood forest they seemed to get away with everything and that literally meant everything. The fact that he was gay was more a blessing to him really. As it meant he didn't have much contact with the female side of the world. Perhaps that was the case here and this man was worried about his job being revoked if the women would come with tall tales. Tall tales, the feline had learned, often meant accusations of child abuse. Still he wondered what it would do if he would indeed be seen as a troublemaker. He somehow doubted these mothers would leave just over the guy being busy with that. They'd likely just wait until he left but his perked a bit when he heard the other's plea.
"Anything huh?" he asked and grinned a bit, revealing his canines. For now he really didn't have anything to ask in exchange but he would remember those words. The feline sighed a bit at what he had been dragged into but then he shook his head a bit. "Very well, let's get you to your chair." he said before letting go of the side of the pool. For him it as easy to deal with the deep water, especially considering the lakes he visited before often were much deeper than this pool was. The feline waited for Tony to take the lead, since it was to be like he would be telling him the rules. It wasn't what he had expected from a day at the pool but it still beat his headache filled morning. And it wasn't like the weather would be bad forever. There was no way.

Tony nodded his head a little bit when the other male realized the biggest reason why he he was worried. It was a sad state of affairs but in this day and age every man was a predator if a woman said so and there was very little he could do about it. Then on top of that he did have classes where he taught children and if those women wanted to be extra vile they could make awful claims about him there too. Most women he worked with weren't like this and so Tony didn't know how to handle it, most of them were lovely people he enjoyed working with but these four mothers made Tony terribly paranoid. He caught what the other male said and blinked a little bit...not bothering with women? Would that mean...? Oh no, he could feel their gaze growing more intense, he didn't need eyes in the back of his head to know that they were growing restless. He needed to make a move quickly! However he blinked once more as he floated in the water, was the look on the others face a good thing? That grin looked a bit dangerous. Either way the other male agreed and a bright smile grew on his face at the fact he had a savior"Thank you!"he said in a soft but excited tone, pleased to have someone willing to help him in his time of need. With that he'd set his face into a stern look as he easily and quickly glided through the water, out of the corner of his vision he could see the women glaring at the duo as they knew exactly what was about to happen as they tried making their move. As tony pulled himself out of the water he would grab the clip board with all the rules the women approached, trying to distract Tony"Ladies I have a job to do, please hold on"he would turn to the nekojin with a stern look on his face"One of the rules of the pool is that you obey the active duty lifeguard...."one of the women tried speaking over him"...at all times! Failure to do so will result in you being ejected from the pool for the rest of the day"he continued on, ignoring them as they realized they'd get nowhere now and grumbled a bit, shooting the Neko a glare as they sauntered off to grab there kids"And any further actions will result in....oh thank god!"he breathed a sigh of relief when they disappeared back into the locker room with their kids in tow"Sorry about that, I had to keep it convincing, can I get your name? I'm Tony"the identification tag obviously gave that away but he still wanted to formally introduce himself to the other male.

What an odd turn this day had taken. When he went to the gym he figured he would just be taking a relaxing swim. Not playing hero to some stranger he just met. But he guessed life was just that unpredictable. Still it looked like these women meant business. It was kind of shocking to realize, though the nekojin ignored them, like he usually ignored most. When they got to the chair and Tony grabbed the clipboard, Robin pulled himself up and sat on the side of the pool, just allowing his feet to peddle in the water. With this charade going on, they probably thought he was quite the punk to not even be phased by being told off. Not that that was to far off.
It would seem their little act didn't have the effect that Tony hoped for as one of the women even tried to talk louder but then they finally gave up and sauntered off. "It's like dealing with chickens in a coop. Sheesh." Robin commented as he sighed at how the females had acted and then finally left. When they shot him a glare, the feline merely rolled his eyes. The females at the tribe had never been this bad. Granted, Robin came from a culture where women didn't have much say to begin with. They were respected, but rarely taken seriously.
"Well, your skin is saved." the feline commented and leaned back on his arms. When Tony spoke again, the nekojin looked at them again and nodded. "It's not like I'm new to being lectured." Robin said. His father had done a large deal of that, at least Tony had kept it short since it was just to chase off the women. Robin sat up again when the man introduced himself. "My name is Robin. I came to Soleil recently." he said in reply and smiled a bit. He wasn't the worst after all, just didn't get along with everyone and their uncle. Yet it was that state of mind he had adapted due to a life filled with moving over and over, that caused him to make zero friends in the several years before Soleil..

Being helped along the way to her destination, Lyra flashed a friendly smile towards the elder women who were friendly enough to point her into the right direction. She had been worried that she'd lose her way, but the people of Soleil were much more friendly then other places she had visited.
Stepping into the building, the silver haired woman brushed hair out of her face as she approached the desk. Being asked if she had a membership there, Lyra shook her head no before being told of the different types of memberships that were offered there. Partially paying attention to what was being said, the Griffin quickly cut off the employee could continue any further about what specials and all she could get. Accepting a monthly membership, the woman was thankful she'd brought enough to pay off this months.
"You're membership card will be sent to you in the mail, so you can look forward to that. Until it gets to you, you can just show any employee your email and they should let you in without having to pay for the day or towards another membership."
Nodding her head in understanding, Lyra thanked the gentleman before walking away from the desk. Now that she could explore the gym, she debated on what she would do first. She hadn't heen aware of there being a pool, or she would have brought a swim suit with her. Dressed simply in a pair of shorts, a tank top and some worn old sneakers, Lyra decided it was best for her to just walk on the treadmill now, and then move on to something else.

Zayid looked around as he emerged from the dressing rooms in his swimming trunks. This wasn't the first time he came to this gym, in fact he spend quite a lot of time here in general. Sometimes with Tony, not always. At times they met as Personal Trainer and Trainee or they had an appointment to hang out but they also just met at random just as easily. This time he was by himself however and also not here to train but pure recreational use. He would have gone to the beach but then he decided he preferred the pool for now. It was quite nice in temperature and you had your pick of depth and type. After swimming for about an hour or so, the Arabian got out of the pool and sat down on a chair nearby that had his towel draped over to keep the chair dry.
From this spot he had a good overview of the pool actually. He could see some kids playing around near their parents, some teens with what he assumed friends and of course there were adults like himself that just enjoyed a calm time for now. The young man smiled a bit before he leaned back in the chair and enjoyed a day off. Between work and training he didn't have a lot of this time. And of course there were the meetings with Tony. Not that he minded those, he loved hanging out with the other male. It just meant he didn't come over much just to swim or do some more leisurely activities like relax at the gym refreshment corner or like this in a chair alongside the pool. After a short while Zayid dozed off into a light sleep.
