My relatives were under the threat of Lynching back in the twenties and thirties.
Black, Jew, Catholic; those ******** didnt care. They hated everyone who didnt fit their image of a perfect America.

I'm simply saying I lack empathy when it comes to vendettas over 20 years old. Take for example my grandparents. They weren't exactly treated well under hitler's regime, but I don't go out of my way to hate neo-nazis because of something they didn't do.
It is perhaps a radical viewpoint, but to me, the actions of one generation should be used to teach the new generation, but to instill hatred into the new generation because the old want to continue the circle of hurt, either overtly or innately, is just foolish. Ideologies that are bad shouldn't be hushed, banned, etcetera. I [perhaps foolishly] trust in people's reason to understand that if someone proposes a horrendous idea, the people will have enough common sense to look at the guy, say "you're dumb", and get over it. Hopefully, the said outcast will also look at the idea, go "huh. Yeah. That is pretty stupid" and change as well.
But that's just my inbred philosophy. Crappy defense as well, so I won't push the point further. You dont' have to agree with it or anything, that's just the take on the situation.
