Anders shrugged. "It's nothing permanent, I won't lie. I will be moving gain, eventually. But it's anise little town and none of the family members of the girls and boys I flirt with have decided to try and run me out yet. And I admit, I have stayed a bit longer than I otherwise might because of you. Your appearances in town are far too irregular."
Kiryu nodded slowly. "I...wish that were possible." He said. He truly did. The idea of having Yusei by his side and Terra out of his life forever... It was seductive, incredibly so. "You're quite the optimist, aren't you?"

Church just kind of stares at Anders for a moment before shaking his head. "That's because I don't like crowded places or even other people, really. I prefer my solitude. When the demon spawn that call themselvs my offspring aren't coming by to harass me, it's rather nice and quiet out here. And I'd warn you against flirting with any of my daughters, but... well... They're quite capable of probably kicking your a** and taking care of themselves without my interference." He says with another small smirk, heading into the cave to set his purchases in a cool corner before heading back out to sit on the grass just outside.
~*~
Kotetsu grins and nods. "Have to be, otherwise, there really isn't much use in keeping hope for anything alive, right? And I'm sure it'll be possible. Going through what you've gone through, if things really are that bad, life HAS to toss you something to make up for all the s**t she's put you through. What's this Yusei look like? I can keep an eye out when you decide you're done resting up here?"

Anders shrugged. "Solitude is all well and good, but I prefer people. I've had my fill of solitude for most of a lifetime, thanks." For a brief moment, his good mood seemed to vanish, but the cloud was gone as soon as it came. "Daughters, plural? Hah, so you do occasionally let people into the fortress of solitude here then." He chuckled, waiting outside for Church to return. He casually leaned against the outer wall of the cave, looking fully as if he had not a care in the world.
Kiryu let the slightest hint of amusement enter his expression. "I'd love to borrow some of that optimism sometime." He wasn't sure he entirely believed he was due any good. Honestly, he wondered if he wasn't due a bit more heartbreak, after what he had done to Gwylan. Sweet, naive kid he was. "Look for-there's no need..." But Kotetsu would wrestle a description out of him nonetheless, he knew that already. "He's a Faefox, like me. Peach fur, but you'd probably know him by his hair-wild and spiky, black, with yellow streaks." 'Blue eyes you can get lost in, and usually so serious, but also so warm and caring...' But he kept his thoughts to himself.

Church snorts and shrugs slightly at that. ".... Occasionally, yes." He eyes the other again, then snorts. "Might as well make yourself comfortable if you're planning on sticking around and stopping by, I suppose. And I do believe all but two of my kids are actually mated off, so you might have to deal with their intended mates as well should you decide to harass them. The two that are still single... Well, I suppose I'm most proud of them because they don't take s**t from anyone. Even if one smokes like a godsdamned chimeny and has horrible fashion sense..."
~*~
Kotetsu grins again, then nods. "Alright, I'll definitely keep an eye out next time I'm out of the house. And you are most definitely due for some happiness. There might be a bit more sadness first, though, since that seems to be how life rolls sometimes, but hell, even if I have to track you down myself and carry you back over my shoulder like a sack of potatoes, if I ever come across this Yusei of yours, I'll do my best to make sure you two see eachother again." Again with that giant grin of his, and, knowing him, he was dead serious about the tracking down and carrying Kiryu back if it came down to it.

Anders grinned and slowly slid down. "Heh, well, I will be sure to keep my attentions entirely off your daughters." He said. "I do try to avoid those who've pieced up mates." Suddenly, Anders considered. "...You don't have one, do you? You would have told me." He sounded almost worried. Then, he tilted his head. "Hm. Talk a bit more about these kids of yours?"
Kiryu shook his head. He was sure Kotetsu, no matter how good a person he was, would forget these promises as soon as Kiryu was gone. Which, in all honesty, would be soon. That strange figure with the red markings wasn't far from his mind. He felt terrible for leaving Kotetsu with nary a word, which he was sure to, but that was what had to happen. "Kind of you to say." He said, sincerely. If Kotetsu really meant it...well.

Church, at first, considers lying and telling Anders that he did indeed have a mate, then decides against it, crossing his arms over his chest before shaking his head. "If I'd had a mate, I definitely would have said something sooner." He blinks in slight surprise at the other asking a bit more about his kids, then shrugs. "Might as well. The two oldest are Damnit and Rose. Rose was raised by her other father. The two of them were... pretty much the product of too much drinking on my part and alot of flirting on their other father's part. They're both mated. Damnit's already gone and made me a grandpa... Something I don't really appreciate. I'm not old enough to be a grandpa, damnit." He grumbles a bit more, then shakes his head before continuing. "Then there's Fook and her sister, Saboteur. If Fook weren't so addicted to smoking and wearing that absurd ski mask and suit jacket with her armor... She might have made me proud. Saboteur ended up staying with her other father, so I can't vouch for her. Then there's Varaza and her brother, Alvah. Those two, I honestly have no complaints about. Even if Alvah stayed with his other father. Varaza makes me damn proud. Not afraid to stick up for herself, chase people off, or just beat the s**t out of someone that pisses her off. She has alot better luck than I do when it comes to chasing people off, obviously. But she can also be manipulative as all hell when she really wants something." It was rather obvious which of the kids had his favor. "None of them really come to visit me so much as gather like a flock of harpies to try to tell me what to do. With the exception of Varaza. She usually comes by to train."
~*~
Kotetsu grins again and nods. "I mean every word of it. I don't break my promises, and that's something I do promise." He nods again, then yawns a bit. "I think this old man is going to go crash. You're welcome to use the shower if you want to." With one last encouraging grin, Kotetsu heads back towards the living room and his couch, yawns heard all the way up until he finally passed out to sleep.

Anders blinked. It seemed that Church actually was almost proud of his children, but he found it hard to think of never seeing half one's kids. "Do you really not know the others well?" He asked, sounding sad. He was actually rather fond of kids. And hey, he did note that Church mentioned "other fathers." Triumph. "And you know, somehow, from what you say of Varaza, I'mot surpassed she's the one you're most proud of." He nodded, casually. "No kids myself, or at least none I know of. Been accused of it a few times." He chuckled.
Kiryu nodded. He almost believed it, too. Kotetsu seemed like the type who would try, at least, to do as he said he would. "Thank you. So much." He said. He made use of the offered shower, perhaps luxuriating longer than he would just to get clean. Take advantage of comforts when they appear, they might not be around for long.
He did sleep, but he was up very, very early. He had already judged that trying to get past Kotetsu was a very bad plan. So it was out the window, and nothing behind but a note.
It read:
Kotetsu, Thank you for all your help. I will never be able to repay you for your kindness. I'm so sorry to be running out on you like this, without a proper goodbye, but I don't think you'd let me leave otherwise. I would like to see you again, but no promises. -Kiryu

Church shakes his head. "I really don't know the others well. We just pretty much went our separate ways." He raises an eyebrow at Anders, then shakes his head. "Why does that not surprise me...?"
Varaza tromps noisily out of the bushes to their right, seeming to ignore Anders' presence for the moment as the whirlwind of blue and black stops directly in front of Church. Blue eyes flick over and finally seem to notice Anders and a scowl crosses the face of the female as her arms cross over her armored chest. "Who the ******** are you?" She snarls out, tail flicking behind her.
~*~
Kotetsu awoke rather noisily the next day with a snore and a cough, slowly and groggily sitting up. "Wha...?" He stumbles to the bathroom, splashing cold water on his face in an effort to try waking himself up further before heading into his kitchen and putting some coffee on. Finally, while the coffee was brewing, he stumbles in the direction of his room, knocking on the door to alert his guest he was coming in, then opening the door and blinking at the lack of said guest. "Kiryu?" He looks in the closet, under the bed, anywhere he could think that a person might hide if one were to try playing a prank on someone. Finding no sign of the fox at all, he frowns, finally noticing the note and picking it up to read it. "Well... A good bye would have been nice..." He sighs, folding the note up and putting it in his pocket before heading back out to get his coffee and breakfast of left over rice. He worried that the fox might end up in a bad way again and the caring, nosy, 'meddling' hero part of him wanted to try tracking the other down. He knew, however, that this would be a bad idea right now and he sulked a bit over his breakfast, hoping the other would be ok.

Anders snorted. "I like kids, I swear." He said. "I just don't want any yet." He tilted his head and considered the female that walked up. Pretty, certainly, but oh, that attitude. "What a charmer. Anders." He stood up and held out a paw to her. He'd do his best to be as polite as possible.
It was about a day later that a knock came on Kotetsu's door. Terra was not as close behind Kiryu as she would have liked, but close enough. It had been easy to find him this time-play the concerned parent, wear a little extra to cover up her wings, and of course people spilled it all. Now to see how well that would work here.

Church allows another small smirk to cross his face. "Now Varaza, be at least a bit nicer to this one, eh? Even if he is wearing a dress... He managed to practically run all the way out here in it. And he's a bit entertaining, as well."
Varaza narrows her eyes the slightest bit at the Wazzit, obviously contemplating saying something snappy and rude back in reply, but instead offers her paw in return. "Varaza b***h Jaktai. You kiss my hand, Anders, and you'll be eating my fist and a few of your teeth most likely." She warns, preferring a hand shake to the usual way men not related to her had taken to greeting her. "What are you doing out here? Harassing my father?" She glances back at Church and notices the amused smirk on his face and frowns, toning down her aggression towards the other slightly at her father's words. "What do you want out here then, Anders?"
~*~
Kotetsu blinks at the knock on his door and hurries to answer it, stumbling and tripping over various objects on the floor, including his own feet, before opening the door and blinking at the woman on the other side. "Eh? Is everything ok, ma'am?" He asks, glad that he had his domino mask on now. He'd thought, at first, that it would have been Kiryu coming back.

Oh yes, this was Church's daughter, undoubtedly. Anders could tell that well enough from her attitude. He shook his head at the threat. "Of course not. I'd never think to insult a strong woman like you by treating you like some delicate court flower." He said. He considered Church's words. "You know, I'm going tot ake that as a high compliment" He said. He didn't even bother to argue the "dress" thing. "I suppose you could say I'm harassing your father, though clearly he finds me far too entertaining for it to be harassment."
Terra's face was schooled into an expression of parental panic. She'd had occasion to observe it, and nearly felt it just once. "Well, sir," she said, wringing her hands a bit, "I-I'm looking for someone, and I herad he'd come through here...my son, Kiryu." She had no clue how much Kiryu had told Kotetsu and that bothered her. Knowing would help her tailor her approach better. But she would get her information as best as she could.

Church gives a very short bark of laughter. "You should consider it a compliment. I haven't ever met anyone else who wore anything close to what you do and still be able to keep up without tripping all over themselves or the hem of their dress." He eyes Anders for a moment, then glances back at Varaza. "Actually, I was the one that ended up tripping."
Varaza snorts slightly in response to Anders' statement directed at her and seems to calm down the slightest bit before glaring at her father. "You WHAT? Old man, you are training more often with me if you were the one tripping and stumbling over your own godsdamned feet." She just as quickly turns back to Anders, pointing at him. "If you're going to keep coming around and.. 'entertaining' my father, you can help train him. He obviously respects you at least a little bit if he's admitting that he's a klutz."
~*~
Kotetsu blinks, eyeing the woman before him again before frowning the slightest bit. If he weren't such an honest person, he'd have told her he'd never heard of anyone named Kiryu, but he knew well that anytime he tried to lie or play something off as alright, that he was as open as a book. "So... You're the demon that's been hounding that poor kid? Why don't you just leave him alone to find his own happiness, huh?" In the short time Kiryu had been around, Kotetsu had definitely grown attached to the other, if his sudden papa wolf protective mode was any indication. While Kiryu was in no way, shape, or form his kid, he'd taken to him almost as if he were his kid. Hell, somebody had to, if it would keep him out of this demon's hands again.

"It's an acquired talent," Anders said breezily, "and really, his tripping was entirely my fault." The Wazzit's grin was utterly, unrepentantly wicked. "I can certainly help teach him some balance, though." He chuckled. He rather liked the both of them, despite the prickles.
MAs soon as he named her for what he was, her entire demeanor shifted. No longer was she a worried parent-she was what she was. A smirk shifted across her face. "Ah, so he told you about me. Well, good, then I can dispense with this ridiculous facade and we can simply move along." She went to push past him into the apartment. "I'd hate to have this discussion on your front steps. Don't you mortals have manners? Isn't it rude to keep a visitor outside? Honestly."

Church stares at Anders for a moment, then shakes his head. "You are... definitely different from most other people I've run into, barring Tucker and Caboose, of course.... I don't think anyone could be more different than those two."
Varaza rolls her eyes slightly, then eyes Anders. "I can just imagine how you managed to make him trip. Said something dirty, didn't you?" She eyes the two of them, then shakes her head. "Alright... If you two of you decide to become an item... Don't come whining to me when the other one pisses you off."
~*~
Kotetsu narrows his eyes at Terra for a moment before stepping back and allowing her into the house. "Yes, he did tell me about you. You aren't going to get any help from me in looking for him." He says, crossing his arms over his chest, tail flicking behind him. "What do you want?"

Anders gave Church a rather flirtatiois grin. "Different. That's good, isn't it?" He asked. "Ah, he asked a question, and I answerd. Perhaps a bit differently than he expected." Varaza's next statemen actually silenced him for a full beat. And then he started to laugh. "I promise, I won't!"
Terra proceeded to waltz in like she owned the place, which tended to be how she handled things. She shed the cloak covering her wings, stretching. "I am concerned about him, after a fashion. I did raise the ungrateful little brat." She sighed. "Let me say, if you ever have children, pray for daughters. I have one blood son, and he is such a horrific dissappointment. Ran off with some Goodie that Kiryu had a little fling with. But his sister? My absolute pride and joy." She leaned against the back of the couch. "Now, you wll tell me what I want to know, Kotetsu Kaburagi. It's just a matter of how I get you to talk."
