"If you all are fine, let's get-" Aden's sentence was broken by the voice speaking up, sounding familiar. But the reaction from Blue was enough to give him an idea of its identity. And he didn't like what was coming to mind. "I didn't say anything like that... just stay close, all of you!"

The room's distortion didn't help matters.

The room's distortion didn't help matters.

The black figure that Aden chased down across the field from Blue's house started to appear. The figure then suddenly split into two. Forms that Aden would too find familiar. Despite the fact they both lacked color both on body and clothing, it didn't change the fact that familiarity would be abound. One form was a Ho-oh Hybrid. The other? Celebi hybrid. The hybrid forms of both Aden had experienced during his time here.

The distorted room became so heavily distorted that the room became no longer recognizable. In fact, it was like he now entered a whole new dimension. Blue, red, yellow, all sorts of ethereal colors abound.

"What is happenin-Marreeeeep!" The girl spoke...or...was it?

The children, before Aden's eyes, changed into four Pokemon. His Pokemon.

"Battle with us."

The two forms showed that they had Pokeballs of their own. Two of their own Pokemon.

"I don't- kids?" Aden wondered if he was right to say that now, when he saw the four children change form rapidly. He had been right the whole time... mostly, anyway. Those four really were his Pokemon... but this didn't bother him. If anything, he was relieved to see that there was no further hiding the fact.

But what did bother him was something that prompted him to rally all but his Mareep and Nidoran behind him. Knowing firsthand that those two didn't get along too well, he didn't want to lead off with his stronger ones. "I get it, you're mad about ordering Mareep to attack out of shock. And somehow, you wanted me to see that they're not much different than I am. But what's this for?"

"If you hadn't figured it out by now, then there may be no hope for you." The Celebi Aden spoke.

"This may be real quick." The Ho-oh Aden spoke. They pulled out a Pokeball of their own and squared off with Aden.

"...My doubts and conflicts." That was the first thing to come to mind. Seeing two forms like that, and he himself still stuck without any part of it, and recalling how he was before getting here... maybe it was obvious. He hoped he was right in some way.

"Mareep, Nidoran. Hold your ground. I don't know what they'll really have, but we'll succeed!"

The two forms tossed out their own Pokeballs. They burst open as they landed and probably to no surprise for Aden, A Mareep from the Celebi Aden, and a Nidoran from the Ho-oh Aden. Difference is, however, like the two forms, they showed no color to them.

"Begin!" The Ho-oh Aden spoke.

"Mareep, Thundershock!" The Celebi Aden shouted.

With a bleet to start it off, the copy Mareep fired off a fairly strong Thundershock towards Aden's Nidoran.

Seeing what emerged was enough to make Aden step back. "What kind of test is this!?" He got his answer when the monotone Mareep shocked his own, colored Nidoran, and took a significantly harder impact compared to the one beside him.

Despite this, he noticed a difference. It was a single attack; nothing from the other half of the opposing party. Most usually don't go for that right off the bat... ideas began to go through his head. He only hoped Mareep knew how to do a little more with her electricity.

"Bear with me... Mareep, if you know how, Thunder Wave. Nidoran, Helping Hand! Give her a little support!"

Fortunately, Mareep did know how to use the move, and responded by starting to let off the weak discharge at whatever she could. Unfortunately, Aden would also learn the limits of some moves. Not only did Helping Hand seem to do nothing in this situation, but what Nidoran could offer was the next thing to incompatible. At least it wasn't a matter of obeying or not.

The pulse was fired off. "Mareep!" The Celebi Aden spoke. The monotone colored Mareep jumped in front and braced itself, taking the Thunder Wave head on. The wool coat started to expand quite a bit, building up all sorts of electricity, but on the flip side of the coin, the Mareep felt sluggish.

"Nidoran! Double Kick!" The Ho-oh Aden shouted. The grayed Nidoran rushed forth, leaping over the Thunder Waved Mareep and went to land a couple of strikes upon the attacking Mareep.

Aden stepped back when the monotone Mareep expanded, getting a bit of an idea in the process. It looked like it'd have a harder time moving, but it'd come at a price; a discharge would be brutal to anyone on the receiving end.

"Mareep, keep 'feeding' that other one. Overload it, it can only hold so much. Brace yourself for any discharges from it-" He stopped himself, knowing he needed to act fast. "Mareep, watch yourself!"

His Mareep looked confused, unsure of what to do first when she was struck by the twin kicks from the monotone Nidoran.

"Nidoran, counter... Horn Attack!" He had his Nidoran meet that with a rush of his own.

The kick came down, meeting the Horn attack head on. The attacks collided and lo and behold, neutralized each other out from the sheer force each side was putting into it. The monotone mareep on the other hand was starting to get weighed down by its own girth that Aden was providing. More and more electricity was stockpiling in the wool.

"I see what he is doing..." The Celebi Aden spoke. "Mareep! Shockwave!" Little did the Celebi Aden count on, however, was the fact that the Thunder Wave was taking its toll on his Mareep. It was trying to strain to stand, let alone get it out of its system.

"Nidoran! Use Fury Attack!" The Ho-oh Aden called out, charging forth towards Aden's Nidoran.

Aden could see this was going to turn into a war. The Shock Wave, apart from hurting Mareep a little, was finding itself absorbed in her own wool. Knowing that a buildup would be even more dangerous with two at risk, he only had one recourse. "Use that extra bit to your advantage, Mareep. I can't afford you to overload yourself. Strengthen the discharge!" He couldn't help being a little concerned when he saw that she was straining to continue, but letting up now would be even worse.

"Nidoran, hold your ground and take the hits. Ready yourself..." A shocked look came across the Pokemon's face, wondering what the heck Aden was thinking in not having him fight back. Taking the rapid hits, though, was a quick reminder that a head on approach was proving to be limited. Relaxing wasn't something he was into, but regaining a focus had to happen. He stood firm, taking a deep breath, waiting for his chance to launch a counterattack.

The two Aden Hybrid counterparts looked at each other as if Aden himself has snapped. As the Mareep kept up the discharge, the opposing Mareep started to fall over. Its sheer wooly girth started to become a hindrance, and with paralysis not helping matters, this started to become a losing battle with it. "Mareep! Move!" The Celebi Aden tried to call out to the Mareep. As much as the opposing Mareep wanted to, no such luck.

"Nidoran! Attack that Mareep! Use Horn Attack!" The Ho-oh Aden shouted. Quickly the monotone Nidoran rushed for Aden's Mareep, head first.

"I think that stops one for a little bit." Aden smirked. "Mareep holds all that electricity in its wool, right? I thought there might be some kind of limit." Unfortunately, this had resulted in his Mareep taking a hit from the opposing Nidoran, but with stray electricity existing, this might not have been the best idea.

Regardless, she had done more than enough. "Mareep, get yourself out of danger's way. Swap places with Raticate, let him fight!" The two were quick to try and get theirselves situated, while his Nidoran went to retaliate with his own Horn Attack. A more tolerant one was being put in, and he was getting sick of these grayscale wannabes anyway.

Both Nidorans attacks hit head on, again, neither one giving any slack to each other. "Mareep, come back yourself." The Celebi Aden spoke. Even he realized this was fruitless. "Poliwhirl! Your turn!" He shouted, tossing the ball out. Out came a monotone colored Poliwhirl, ready to go.

"Nidoran! Horn Attack again!" The Ho-oh Aden shouted. The persistant monotone colored Nidoran again rushed forth, this time it was intending to take out that Nidoran of Aden's. He's tired of him using a shield of some sort.

"Sucker Punch!"

Aden was getting tired of playing defense, himself. It was quickly proving fruitless. If he was to have any chance, he needed to get himself on the offensive. He decided to let Raticate serve as the opening for that notion, speeding in front of Nidoran to deliver the blow to his assailant.

A crazy idea soon crossed his mind.

"Nidoran, jab Raticate with your horn!"

If he wasn't looking at him as if he was daft before, this surely would do it. He was asked to attack an ally? For no reason? The hell? "Just take my word for it. You can't take much more either." Chalking this up as the guy finally snapping, he did what was asked. He approached Raticate from behind and jabbed him, poisoning him in the process.
