Cloe watched as Eoin grinned and Marina stifled the last of her blushes and felt a flutter of warmth pass through her. So this is what having friends feels like, she thought with wonderment. She liked it. A thought occurred to her and she acted on it without thinking about it.

"Oh hey, what did Ollivander say about your wand? He said mine was swishy and good for f-f-flam-boy-ant magic, like transfiguration." She stuttered over the unfamiliar word.

Cameron lifted his head to see who was talking about what bands she liked. It was Gracie! She likes Bon Jovi and Linkin Park? he repeated, thinking he might've misheard. However, she wasn't speaking to the whole group, only to one boy with shockingly white hair. Cameron stared at the two for a moment before awkwardly looking back at Caitlin, and back down to his knee. He and Caitlin haven't made eye contact since she explained to him why she wanted to dye her hair.

Nell could honestly say that the only bands she knew of were the ones that came and played occasionally in her Da's pub. All the ones being stated by Gracie were going straight over her head especially with their names. Bon Jovy? Why was there a band named after a park? And those others just sounded like random words smushed together; she was so confused! But Jack and Gracie seemed like they were enjoying their conversation and she didn't want to intrude so she went back to talk to Caitlyn and noticed that Cameron was there too and gave a smile and wave. "Hi, I don't think I've introduced myself, sorry. My name's Nell."

Daisy pondered at this question for a minute. She was really only ever to listen to classical music like Bach and many others, as her father allowed, but she loved to listen to modern music as well."I like Indie music like the Killers and punk music like My Chemical Romance,"she answered with a smile and realized she would want to keep a friendly relationship with this bunch. As Daisy waited she sighed and looked at all of the other First years and was only impressed with the three she was with.
