The firestorm grew large and now consumed Arcanine. The burning scales would scrap and tear away at the canine's fur but so far the heat did not bother it much. "A fire fight! Now you're talking my language!" Blaine said with a cheerful laugh. "Sorry buggy, but we won't lose a game of flame. Extremespeed into the storm's current! Ho ho ho!" Blaine seemed to be having way too much fun. This guy is just a tad loony at times.
With a bark, Arcanine would run right into the storm and began to run in circles the direction it was going, quickly bursting into an Extremespeed as he became nothing more than a blur with the storm. Strangely enough the flames in the storm would begin to condense towards the ground until it was nothing more than a ring of fire that burned intensely. That was no ring of fire.
"Fire the cannon!" Like a flaming bullet of destruction, Arcanine would launch its now scorching body at Volcarona, its Flash Fire ability having absorbed the intense fire which the bug had helped create in order to form a far more powerful, and hot, Extremespeed. Arcanine was like a meteor.

Nova would watch the flaming meteor of an Aracanine as it approached her, wings being to flutter erratically. She had never seen such a glorious use of fire and it was making her almost swoon. While she didn't swoon, Nova managed to focus so much on the flames and forgot an important thing: keep flying. Plummeting out of the air, Nova would be clipped by the Arcanine and be sent spiraling as she recovered from the fall. The Arcanine would likely continue its flight to the nice, safe, friendly rock wall that was right close to Nova's back.

Blaine grumbled as Arcanine only clipped the bug but he did not surrender so quick to his Arcanine's fate. "You can't put out the fire that quick! It spreads if not contained! Keep going!" Blaine shouted. Arcanine would indeed slam into the wall, harming its self, but it didn't stop. The dog used the momentum as it kicked off the wall with all fours and threw its self at Volcarona again, this time coming from behind.

Reno watched the Arcanine bounce off the wall, studying for a moment before hitting a realization. "Well, that idea is nuts. Lets do it. Nova, time fer the swing shot!" Reno commanded in response, glancing over to Blaine for a moment. This was looking insane. Rightly so though, considering they both probably were insane. Nova, hearing the odd command, would turn in time to find herself with a face-full of Arcanine tackling her and almost driving the Bug type to spit before it would continue on. For ten feet. Which is when the String Shot that had been attached to the Arcanine's underbelly snapped taut and Nova gave a whole body swing to send the Arcanine back towards the wall. Hopefully it didn't manage to free itself too soon or this plan was a bust along with Nova's chances at continuing the fight. She did not appear to be flying too well.

This match up is ending here, Flamethrower!" Right before Arcanine was thrown into the wall, it unleashed a Flamethrower on the string, sending its flames straight to the source. The fire would burn the string and release Arcanine, but it was too late as it slammed into the wall, knocking it unconscious and sending it straight for the lava. It just wanted to make certain Volcarona went down too. "Very intriguing, I like you!" Blaine cheered as he recalled Arcanine. "So you beat the speedster, how about the sneakster? Or something like that" With that strange comment, Blaine tossed out another Pokeball after recalling Arcanine, his gorgeous Ninetales appearing from the ball as embers danced around its golden fur.

Nova would ignite in a burst of flame as the line of fire hit her wings and basically everything on her that was flammable. And she was smiling over it. Well, at least as close to a smile as the Volcarona could manage. Watching his Pokemon fall to the ground with her entire body engulfed in flames and a wild cackle somehow emanating from her before Reno returned her. Blinking for a moment as he avoided any contact, the trainer was dealing with the mildly disturbing implications of his Volcarona. He really needed to get her some way to not want to burn everything until she lit herself on fire. Turning to the Ninetails now sitting on the battlefield, Reno had an....odd reaction.
"Oh my god, I'm not sure whether I wanna kill it or hug it.....Wait, sneakster? Even my grasp of English is good enough to think that word is a lil....made-up." Reno quipped, eyes snapping up to stare the bald headed man across the battlefield from him. While he seemed to be in control here, it didn't seem like he was much for ad-libbing anything. Well, he could work with that for the moment. "Okay then. Time fer the big bad Gruff ta make an appearance." With his own odd phrase to announce his next Pokemon, Reno hurled the Pokeball at the field and released his Marowak, who was packing a much more sizable club than usual. Taking the Thick Club and pointing it straight at the Ninetails, Gruff would charge forward to attack with a Bone Club.

Ninetales would not move, instead it let off a bright flash of light went off and Marowak was subjected to images of its self and Ninetales enjoying themselves in a lush green field, sunshine warming their skin as they cuddle up together to enjoy their day together. Ninetales would go on about how shiny his bone was and how she would love to see it, begging Marowak to allow her to look at it.
Back to reality, none of that really happen in the eyes of Reno or Blaine, the gym just standing there with a smile as his Ninetales just pulled off a Covet attack mixed with a Confuse Ray to provide hallucinations. If successful in stealing the bone, the Ninetales would wrap it up in her tails to keep it away.

Gruff would let his eyes droop as the imaginary scenario played out for him, enticing him to place the bone calmly into the extended tails without any question. As he attempted to release his weapon, Gruff hesitated for a moment with the thought of releasing his beloved weapon for some weird examination. Watching the illusion shatter as he began to think deeply on the matter, the Marowak saw he had almost released it and began to grip it and attempt to pull it away from the Ninetails. This was likely about to become a tug-of-war game over his security blanket.

Blaine would laugh at this scenario, not because it was funny, but because Marowak had just got suckered into pulling his fox's tail. "Ho ho! Big mistake!" He chuckled as a blue aura surrounded Marowak, the curse from pulling the fox's tail taking on the form of a Disable attack. The Bone Keeper Pokemon would find that his bone was now incredibly heavy to it as Ninetales simply let it go and spat a Flamethrower in Marowak's face. The curse had Disabled its ability to use its bone, how could it fight without it?

Gruff would struggle against the immobile bone, grunting and yelling in exertion as he attempted to liberate the poor implement from the ground. No dice, as the Disable held strong and kept the Marowak still for the flamethrower to engulf. Stewing underneath the torrent of flames that he simply stood and beared, Gruff breached the Flamethrower with a wild yell as he recklessly hurled his entire body in a tackle to smash into the Ninetails' body. Of course he went to Retaliate, that bone was family and it hurt to see it gone.

Ninetales grunted in pain as the boneless Pokemon tackled her savagely, the fox prancing backwards to gain some distance for its next attack. "Poor guy, I almost feel bad for him. Ninetales, take its mind off the bone, Confuse Ray." Once again Ninetales would unleash a bright flash of light from its body, but this time not to give it good time memories. Time to start tripping balls.

Gruff would have about five seconds before the world basically warped away as he knew it and was replaced by a heaping helping of what the hell was that. Things were bouncing off the walls, bright flashes of color would appear at random as things moved and shifted without him doing anything. Staring at the moving kaleidoscope that the environment had become, the Marowak was left wondering what exactly was going on and where the Ninetails had gone.
Watching his Marowak stumble around like a drunk, giggling at the world and with his mouth hanging open, Reno smacked himself on the forehead before yelling at his Pokemon. "Hit the bloody ground! Earth Power! Hit everything around ya, you punch drunk little wuss!" Staring at where the sound had come from without much focus anything in that direction, Gruff would simply slam his head into the floor and send himself stumbling around even as the attack began to work to target the Ninetails. Hopefully.

Ninetales would begin to prance around as the ill aimed Earth Power sent lava spewing up from the field, attempting to avoid the wrath of mother Earth. She was able to avoid most of the lava spouts but one caught her said and sent her stumbling. "Need the bone to keep your balance? Why don't you help them out, Ninetales. Extrasensory!" Blaine called out.
Ninetale's eyes would take on a blue hue as she stared at Marowak intensely. Nothing else would be seen but the bone keeper Pokemon would definitely feel something as it felt like its mind was being squeezed by the telepathic attack. Not only was Marowak hallucinating but now it was being given a migraine, and it doesn't even have its 'security blanket' to see it through these mind games.

Unable to do anything at all with his current situation and beginning to feel the pain from the Multitude of attacks. Which was not helped by the sudden induced migraine that seemed to be strong enough to break through the happy fog over his mind. Continuing to wander around the strange world, Gruff would be unable to attempt any other attack. Seeing as how he tripped and was currently scrambling to remove his head from the ground, it seemed easy to go with.

"Is it over? Come, this wasn't a very hard riddle to begin with! Oh well, the answer was...Flamethrower!" Blaine said. Ninetales would unceremoniously spit out a jet of fire at the helpless Marowak, hoping to put it out of its suffering.
