(haha, sorry?)Kawamura Keigo (You're making too much sense again. >.>'; ) Miss Chloie (I love duke. Seto doesn't like him because he thinks that he doesn't think Duke has done anything respectable. Since Seto is my chacter, I have to make the narations sound like that too. It wouldn't make sense to have Seto think of him as an idiot and then refer to him as 'that adorable and sexy person.' Riiiiight?) Kawamura Keigo (You're mean to Duke. D<)

Mokuba looked at his brother, concern showing broadly in his eyes. It had been hours since either of them had eaten, but he always ate more then Seto did. He knew the sooner they got the food, the better. Once they dropped off the bags Mokuba was already heading towards the forest again. The one thing he could not do was sit while his brother starved. Sure, he too was hungry, but Seto needed food immediatly. He could see that both his brother and Jou were keeping up with him, and before they knew it, they were back in the elephant grass.
This was a great time to get to know their surroundings. The sun was hitting the earth at a rather auspicious angle, catching the light of every drop of water that lasted through the night. A vast amount of flowers covered the gorund and the trees, some being nothing but the exotic plants. Though the scenery filled him with a rather aesthetic feeling, he needed to be looking for food. After taking a second look around the trees, he could spot fruit growing in them. They were hidden in a bushle of flowers, almost mimicing its colors. Grasping one of them, a few flowers falling in responce, he tested it to see how ripe it was.
The fruit he had found seemed plausible, at least edible. Once he was sure of the fruits content, finding the picture in the guide, he began picking at rapid speed. Taking as many that would fit in his arms, sending him slightly off balance.
"Well..I got the fruit. Hopefully we can find some animals so we can get some meat." Mokuba pointed out, holding out one of the pale cream fruits out to Seto.
"You have to eat something Seto, and no picking, you have to eat as much as you can while were out here." Mokuba commanded softly.
Even if Seto needed to eat more to even survive here and get energy; getting him to eat more in general was a plus. Maybe after this whole thing, Seto would eat more, and eat more often. As always, it took life threatening situations to truely change something about yourself.

Mokuba pulled his hand back slightly, his eyes lite with furry. It was times like this that Mokuba found his brother to be rather moronic. Sometimes he wondered if Seto even cared if he lived or died. Or even worse, maybe he wanted to die. Just the thought alone made Mokubas heart churn like a stomach on a bad day. His brother had not even eated the rest of his first melon, they all had to at least have one. There was plenty in the trees, yet he knew starving kids would be mad at his brother at this point.
And what was worse was now Seto was getting a irratable, ususlly something he did when he was hungry, go figure. Take this fruit and eat it, cause your being a b*****d, which means your stomach is pissed cause you wont feed it. And since you can't take this and shove it up your a** you might as well eat it. Your bodys already about the size of my wrist. That was what he wanted to say, but of course, it went unsaid.
The thing with his brother was that he never thought about things. Well he did, he thought well as a business man, but he never thought about conciquences of life. Sometimes he wondered what Seto would do if he did any of this.
'Wait.' he thought.
That was a good question. What if Mokuba was refusing food? What if he refused to tell anybody anything? How would Seto like it if Mokuba never told him anything about anything? All in all, he wondered what it would be like to give seto a piece of his own medicine. Obviously Seto couldn't comprehend how deeply Mokuba loved him, maybe he would see how Mokuba felt if he had to walk in his shoes. It had always been Mokuba first, Seto never. Well things were going to change, Seto would learn the hard way. Sadly at this point, hurting the person he loved most would be the only way to help him.
By this time, Mokuba had walked away to get more fruit. He heard Jou approch Seto, probably trying to get him to listen to him. But Jou would be doing it in vain, Seto never listened. He knew Seto would want Mokuba to eat one of these bitter fruits, even if he hated it, oh the irony. He took a fruit out of the bunch, looking at it with an hunger in his eyes.
"I wish it didn't have to be like this." he whispered to himself.
With that, he broke the fruit on a rock, letting the lushious melon seep into the ground. It wasn't long before only a decieving peel layed on the grass, a death in vain.

Seto, however, heard none of what Mokuba said to himself. This probably wasn't going to help him in the long run if Mokuba actully planned on starving himself like it appeared.
No, instead, his attention was focused on a giant tree in front of them. The branches were thick and seemed decently low to the ground... perfect for climbing. He knew that he'd seen birds in the trees when he and Jou had layed down in the grass... The thing on his mind at the moment wasn't the birds themselves though. It was more of their eggs. If he was able to find a nest that had birds' eggs that appeared pretty small then there was a good chance that they hadn't incubated yet and that his brother, Jou, and the rest of the survivors could eat them.
'Not to mention,' he realized, 'We still don't know where we are. We don't know how large this island is. If I could get to the top of that tree... maybe I could see more...' he glanced at the neighboring trees. They looked, actually, to be the exact same size. None of them had lower branches though... 'Or, at least I'd be able to look down and see where there might be other fruit...'
Without giving anyone a clue as to what he was doing, he moved forward and jumped up, catching the lowest and sturdiest looking branch under his hands. Then he pulled himself up effortlessly. He stood, balancing himself for a second, looking at the face Jou was giving him at the moment.
"Hey, don't worry. I used to climb trees all the time when I was a kid. I only got hurt once--and there aren't any nissans around here." He winked at Mokuba through the leaves, knowing that Jou wouldn't understand.

It had all happened so fat that time had to take a moment to rest, slowing down. Before Jou knew it, he as picking up speed, leaving a dumbfound Mokuba standing there frozen. This felt as if he was running so slow he would not make it. But he had been wrong, he was actually getting closer. From this viewpoint, he was actually beating Seto. Though there was no time to smile, he was filled with some hope.
He raced, faster then time, inching closer and closer to the tree. His arms were out-stretched, he was going to make it. Letting his feet leave the ground as he went soaring through the air, close to meeting with Seto. It seemed like everything was going to be alright, until.
The due had still not evaporated, leaving the grassy earth slicker then it would normaly be. His body hit the earth, passing the tree.

Once Seto hit the groud, it all became a reality for him. Mokuba picked himself from his fozen stance and rushed to his brother, tears already streaming from his face. When he reached his brother, his legs gave out. Falling beside his brother, as if he too had broken his legs. His hands shook with fear, eyes refusing to blink as the salty water soaked the earth.
"Onii-sama! Onii-sama!" he shouted, voice breaking off.
He felt helpless, what could he do? It would be easy to make it worse if he tried to move him. And he didn't need to have another reason for feeling guilty. The urge to curse at Jou was strong, he had missed, but it wasn't his fault. Trying despritely to not loose all control, he looked over to Jou.
"Go get something to put under him, a leaf or something! We need to get him back to the cave!" he shouted.
He could only pray that someone had a idea of what to do. He wasn't a doctor, he had no idea what to do. All he could do, was hold Setos hand, letting him transfer his pain to him with a deadly grip.

Seto opened his eyes again, feeling something other than pain at his hand. It was warmth...and softness... Mokuba was kneeling next to him bawling his eyes out. Seto felt a few tears land on his face. And, although it hurt like hell, Seto wanted to see what the damage was. Mokuba probably thought he'd died.... Well, he was feeling too much pain for him not to be alive so he knew he wasn't dead.
Mokuba was squeezing his hand... he wanted to squeeze it back--but he was afraid of breaking the frail bones. Instead, he squeezed what he thought was gently compared to what he was feeling at the moment. He was, however, squeezing very strongly. It made him feel better to have Mokuba sitting there like that... though he felt horrible for making him cry.
"I'll... be alright... Mokuba..." he managed. He let his eyes move down his torso a little bit. His body was still twisted so he couldn't really see what it was that was hurting so badly. He tried to adjust himself so he could see his wound, but that only sent another stab of white pain to his brain. "Damnit!" he yelled, frusterated himself that his body didn't cooperate with what he wanted. He wanted to see what it was but since it hurt so much to move, he was hesitant to do so.

The pain seering in his hand didn't cause anymore tears then the ones already falling. In ways, he could barely feel the pain, he just figured it hurt because of the color it was turning, but he felt numb. Set was not okay, no matter what he said, but he was glad Seto said anything at all. He was to relieved to think about why seto had fallen in the first place, lack of food. But now was not the time. Once they figured out how to get his leg slightly better, then Seto would be getting a mouth full. Maybe once the pain stopped, or was bearable. He wasn't sure, but he just hoped Seto was alright.
"Dont look Seto..your alright. I think maybe we can do something, but I dont want you going into shock." Mokuba whispered comfortingly.
Jou soon returned with a large leaf he had found, but he too was nervous to move Seto. But he instructed Mokuba to help move him by the arms. Those seemed to not be as damaged as the rest of his body. They maybe brusied, but he was sure seto would not notice much from the major pain from his leg. Keeping hold of Setos hand, he helped move him gently on the leaf. It was not long before they began walking, Mokuba not leaving Setos side, as they reached the cave.
((Sorry their not paying much attention to Duke, priorities xD))

(That's fine, I'll butt him in somehow. xp )
Duke too was sort of shocked by Seto's leap. Well, leap...? Fall. Yeah, that was a better word since Seto didn't actually leap.
Duke shook his head to get this random conversation with himself out of his head. He followed the others on a distance as they went back to the cave. Wonds looked gross. He always thought so. He hated them. When he was about 8, he had been in this car crash in wich he broke his leg on three places, so he could imagine what Seto was feeling right now. That's gotta hurt... He though, as the put his hands in his pockets. Things that grossed him out always made him want to slide his hands into something comfortable, in this case close to his butt. And there, he found a small box. Right! His painkillers! He took them with him in case he'd run out of stuff! If the others found out, they'd probably want him to give some to Seto, but he didn't want that! They were his painkillers! To stop his own mental faintness, he got one out of the box and swallowed it. When he tasted it on his tongue, he realized this wasn't a painkiller. ot a physical painkiller. This was one of those pills he took to forget about the pain of being a popular p***k and all the consequences that had. He turned around slowly and tried to sneak out of the cave tofind a place to hide them.
(lol He's mental)

Seto grimaced when he was moved--his leg wanted to stay in the same position while his shoulders were moving back onto a huge green flimsy looking leaf. After he was settled though, and the pain resided slightly, he dared to look down and see what he'd done to himself. At first he didn't understand--but then he saw that there was an odd bump on his leg that wasn't there before. He realized that it was an inch and a half of BONE sticking out--and not just some random cloth gathering.
It was bright white but parts of it seemed to be a little pinkish--if it was blood or tissue Seto didn't know--nor care about at the moment. He felt himself being moved backwards--Jou and Mokuba were leading him back to camp on the large bit of foliage.
The ride wasn't exactly seamless...and seemed to take longer than Seto was willing to endure.
"You have to set it!" Seto managed through locked teeth. "Before the skin becomes hard..." His stomach churned at the thought. In layman's terms, they'd have to break his leg again to get it back inside of his body. Either that or cut through muscle... or perhaps both.
He saw the bags and had an idea.
"Mmmnnnm-okuba," he choaked, "Did you happen....to find any bandaggg...es? Or anything... of... the like?" He tried to keep his breathing and such under control. He didn't need Mokuba worrying about him any more wouldn't help anyone... It'd just serve as a destraction. "Anything sharpp... or..." he grunted, trying to move his leg above his heart so that the blood would stay in his body. He was starting to feel faint again. He wasn't sure what reason it was: 1)Hunger 2)Thirst 3)Pain 4)Loss of blood. "Anything sharp... or..." he repeated, forgetting that he'd already said it, "anti...septic?" He bit his lip as he tried to get his freaking belt off. When he did, he moved it around his leg and pulled it tight, cutting off circulation.
'Tha'ts why we have to do this now...I didn't think of a tourniquet earlier...' he thought. He paid no attention to Duke whatsoever because he was in so much pain all he could think about was getting himself OUT of it.
(Wow, your character doens't have much to do with the main storyline... You should like... find a way to really force him into the triangle... sweatdrop )
