Well, the Spy Network is so they know what's going on in the Galaxy, as they are no longer very active, but again, if you feel it is unnecessary I'll remove it

Skilled as they might be at combat, I fail to see how the Echani can mantain a Spy Network.
I also fail to see why they dont use more conventional means, Like reading Independant News Reports.

Okay well... I've been replaying KOTOR I (Along with learning how to mod it), and there are a number of things that are stated in it about the echani that you seem to contradict.
The Echani are described as a honor-code based organization, there's an Echani Merc in the game that's got brown eyes and brown hair. This means that like the Mandalorians there is no, one racial group within their realm, though they do have an overwhelming tendancy to be white-haired.
This means that I'd say that if you want to make a cultural approxamation to an earth based culture the closest you can come is that of the Samurai during the feudal fracturing of Japan and their Bushido code. They're warriors that are called for and paid, but only fight in battles that satisfy their code of conduct.
The Echani make excellent swords and staff weapons, but when it comes to ranged arms... as Canderous put it, "Echani make delicate weapons that require finess, I prefer something with a bit more punch."

Is there an SW eqivalent to a satillite laser cannon? Not large like the Death Star or CenterPoints planetary replusors, but small.

Well there you go.
Its not an X-wing, but the Community aught to beable to get some use out of it.
And if Freya is anything like her ancestor, then she shouldnt beable to get shot down in this.
I even got it a droid socket.
If she goes down in this, she can only blame herself right before she's engulfed in flaming wreckage.
