A sigh. "Good. I was kinda worried. I didn't know if you could fly -up- with us," he said. He rose, but waited for Tristen. "After you~"
He hadn't yet seen how Tristen used flash. He knew some pokemon were rather...suggestive with it. Like Jynx. Just thinking about it caused him a shudder.

He knew some pokemon were rather...suggestive with it. Like Jynx. Just thinking about it caused him a shudder. I gave a bit of a laugh then looked back. I looked at the pieces of Hinterbane, and astoundingly they were cool to the touch despite half of it being submerged in lava all this time. I'd imagine it was the chi that still remained for the time being...I picked up the pieces and stashed them. Obviously I was not going to be able to carry it in a vest pocket like I had. Tristen rubbed the back of his head then made his way forward. He then lead the way, with me close by since we were still within the extreme heat of the cavern and until we started to get away from it, I couldn't really let up the cooling effect too much. As we made our way into the tunnel there was several ways up. Jagged passes with at least half the way lit up by the light coming from the magma from the large cavern. It was easily climbable by anyone.

Tails did not immediately follow -- he gathered his clothes in one arm then hurried after to take up the rear. "So what will you do with the sword?" he asked.

"Well, I was planning on doing what Ship actually suggested." I said. "Which really, was something that I had intended anyhow. I was going to give it a bit of a memorial for it, which I would find better than a ice sword being under lava for years..." I said. "Given that this sword pretty much saved my hide, and for that matter, pretty much at one time had a Pokemon's will infused to it, well...I guess that I want to give it a peaceful rest that it deserves."

A solemn nod from Tails. But he was not solemn for long. "When I die in a few hundred years, someone better bury me as deep under the earth as they can. Hopefully in the mantle."

I was about to ask something until I realized what was probably the obvious answer. An answer that wasn't so obvious to Tristen. "Why so deep, Tails?" The electrike hybrid asked.

"Because if I'm dead, it's not like I'm gonna have visitors," Tails answered. "Which means at least my body can drift forever in the molten innards of the planet. I hear there's bubbles that are hundreds of miles huge so chances are in a year or two I'd get pulverized."
He shrugged, as if this were only an inconvenience. "I guess that just means I'd be even more a part of the planet, huh?"

He'd have at least one. Though Tristen knew he wasn't going to live that long, even he thought that sounded a bit on the morbid side.

Tails' ears perked for a moment, but then he realized what Blizz meant and he giggled. "I guess it depends on who lives more dangerously," he said. "I know from Miles how long Ninetales live, but no one seems to know how long Articuno hybrids live."

"Well, unless there are some roaming Hyda or anywhere else in these regions that we don't know about, I guess we'll find out. I would suspect that I could live for quite some time, though. Maybe as long as a Ninetales, at least. Who knows." I said.

He knew that, if anything, a time will come for everyone, but was it really right? For that matter, was it possible?

Maybe when I grow up, I'll be doing more dangerous stuff than Blizz and -I'll- be the one that dies first. Probably from something stupid. Hopefully it won't be from a pretzel. Tails came to a stop, and at least wrestled his shirt over his head. One less thing to carry would make it easier on him. "I should probably work off all this heat," he said. "I could probably use most of it in a fireball..."
