Mmm. Yeah the Ptolemy's ruled right into the Roman Empire days. Ptolemy being one of Alexander's senior Generals, he took over the Egyptian province when Alex died. Umm, yeah, Alexander also expanded as far as India, something that Persia never did.
And well, just to be disagreeable, the Macedonians did come under Persian control in the 479 conflict, and also had it a little before that also if I remember correctly.
Plus I think Persia could have taken Greece if it had wanted to after the hegemony of Sparta ended.

Yes, I remember the Ptolemeic rule, thanks once more to an SBS doco. What I remember most glaringly from the documentary was that the word tolerance comes from Ptolemy, thanks to there, well... tolerant rule. xd

and once i was there and dancing and whatever it wasnt too boring
i drove there DDD: which wasnt very good...i had only had 4 hours sleep....but my mum was really tired and fell asleep while i was driving....
but yeah it was a long weekend...i might take the day off tomorrow! domokun
