Loki nodded when Tony promised to show him some of the places when they returned home. It would be interesting to see all the places and decider whatever mysteries they held. The god looked to tony as the man laced their fingers together. "I would not leave you if my life depended on it. The spell has some hold on me as well, you are my strength here. And by chance we do encounter Odin, I ...I can not face him on my own." Loki assured his mate.

Tony looked to Loki as he spoke, smiling slightly, he leaned over and kissed his temple. “Thank you Lo.” He said softly. “Though I do think you aren’t giving yourself enough credit.” He said gently. As they finally approached the beach, tony maneuvered the boat until he could get it on the beach and secured. Looking around, he pulled out one of the maps and looked it over for a moment. “I think we touched down here.” He said, pointing it out to Loki. “Which means we should go that way.” He continued, nodding in the direction he suggested before looking to Loki for approval.

Loki smiled at Tony as the man kissed his temple. He looked quizzical when the man said that he wasn't giving himself enough credit. "I don't know what you mean." Loki stated. He looked to the beach when the boat made contact the feeling of pressure to get away was worse than before. The feeling to turn and run was stronger than ever but Loki pushed it down and Loki squeezed Tony's hand to make sure that they were both there. He got out of the boat and stood on the shore. Looking at the map he nodded at Tony's idea of where they had landed.

When Loki seemed to agree, tony took a deep breath, steeling himself before he marched off toward the trees, making sure Loki was close. He didn’t rush in, obviously uneasy, not just from the magic, but from the surroundings. He still managed to move forward in at a steady, deliberate pace, pausing every now and then to check a compass and make sure both of them were drinking water and staying on alert. He even tried to crack a few jokes about their surroundings and try to engage Loki in conversation about some plant or random creature they passed, but it was obviously forced and unnatural. They’d been trudging through the thick underbrush for two or three hours when Tony stopped dead in his tracks, swaying slightly as panic raced over the bond, he gritted his teeth though and didn’t move, forcing himself to try and remain calm. “Think we’re close.” He said slowly.

Loki took a deep breath when Tony did and walked forward with his mate. Loki stayed close to the man's side stopping every time he did and moving when he did. He drank water when pressed but didn't ask for it too on edge to think about such things. He kept up small conversation with his mate to keep their minds occupied. Loki grasped his mate when panic suddenly passed through the bond amping up Loki's uneasiness and anxiety. "Quite possibly, the spell would only get stronger the closer we get to what we are not supposed to find." Loki grit out. He could feel his own heart racing and the desire to run prevalent only his desire to find Fenrir made him hold firm.

Tony leaned into Loki’s touch slightly, not wanting to move. “I officially hate this spell.” He grumbled. Finally he forced himself to move forward, muscles tense and fingers flexing every so often, wishing he’d brought a suit with him, missing the weight of a repulser in his palm and the security that came with it. It didn’t take long for them to come to a clearing with what looked like the entrance of a cave on the other side. Tony paused in the tree line, shifting uneasily. “Now what?” he asked slowly, looking to Loki.

Loki nodded in agreement. He too did not like the spell and he knew nothing that could counter it at least nothing that he had studied. Of course he hadn't studied such a spell just understood the concept behind it. He did not have enough magic to trial and error counteract it and prepare for what ever awaited them. "We go in." Loki shuddered. "Hopefully we get far enough in to get past where the spell was meant to be." Loki continued.

Tony nodded slowly. Fishing out a flashlight from his bag, Tony grabbed Loki’s hand before they stepped into the clearing. Slowly entering the cave, Tony moved slowly, cautious of everything. As they reached the point where light from outside began to fade, Tony felt the magic lift, but the caution and unease didn’t leave. He didn’t like caves, too many bad memories. And with the potential of something dangerous in here with him, Tony was far from okay. Turning on the flashlight, he stayed silent, too on edge to even attempt conversation.

Looking to the flashlight as Tony pulled it out and to their clasped hands he took a breath and nodded agsain. He was as ready as he was ever going to be while under the effects of the spell. When the magic finally began to fade Loki took a gasping breath. He almost felt relieved if he wasn't still nervous. He held on tighter to Tony's hand feeling what the man felt across the bond. He sent comfort across the bond and promises that no one would hurt the man in such a way again.

Tony accepted the comfort, but didn’t respond or calm. He wouldn’t be able to calm himself until they were on the yacht and leaving, the only place on this island that wasn’t designed to panic him was the place that already panicked him. They walked further and further into the cave until little things began to seem off. The scents differed, the distinct feeling of another presence ahead, the faint glow of some sort of magic beginning to light the way. Tony continued until the tunnel they were in widened into a great cavern with a huge pit in the middle. The genius froze, looking around the edges before he began to sweep the pit with his flashlight. There was nothing. Tony let out a slow breath. “Well that certainly shows something was here at least.” He said slowly, kneeling to try and get a better look. Just as he was leaning over the edge, a growl ripped through the air and a huge black wolf darted from a hidden nook and leapt into the air. His jaws would have snapped around Tony easily if the genius hadn’t thrown himself back and out of the way, a stream of curses falling from him.

Loki was beginning to lose hope the further they walked into the cave. When they enter the giant cavern with nothing in it loki let out a soft defeated whimper. He watched Tony as the man explored the edges of the cave. Yes, something had been in the cave but it did not look like Fenrir had been here. When a growl echoed through the cave Loki snapped from his darker thoughts of defeat and darted forward grabbing Tony and pulling him back further. The god threw up a hand a protective magic shimmered into the air. A shield of some sort keeping the wolf back. "Back!" Loki shouted.

Tony scrambled to his feet beside Loki, hand wrapping around his elbow to steady both of them. Shining the flashlight out, he followed the wolf’s movements. Despite the creature’s immense power and strength, he didn’t seem to be able to even attempt to escape the pit he was in. After a few failed attempts at getting to them, jaws snapping and eyes clearly showing his intent to kill, he began to simply pace the pit, snarling and growling, never looking away from them. “Is…..is that him?” Tony asked shakily.

Loki watched the wolf unsure what to think. The wolf was trapped in a pit, trapped like Fenrir was supposed to be. But he had heard that Fenrir was chained unable to move. It was possible that his sources on such things were wrong. And the wolf did bear some resemblance to his son but it had been so long since he had seen him. "I... I am not sure." Loki stated and walked forward. "Fenrir?" Loki tried gently looking for some sign that it was his son.

Tony stiffened when Loki stepped forward. “Be careful!” he hissed. The wolf froze as Loki approached, immediately squaring off and letting out a particularly vicious snarl. The sound of the name seemed to bring a pause, but he was back to snarling a second later. Tony frowned darkly at the scene before them. What were they supposed to do now? Inching closer to put a hand on Loki’s back, he didn’t take his eyes off the wolf. “He’s huge…..and fast….” He said slowly. A moment later the tell-tale light of the bifrost shown on the opposite ledge, and both Odin and Frigga appeared. Looking over the scene, Frigga began to walk around the ledge towards the pair, looking more regal than ever dressed in her crown and light armor to fit her new role. Odin just looked like an angry old man trailing after, clearly not pleased with anything, but lacking the presence and threat he’d carried before.

Watching for a sign was hard especially when Loki feared he wouldn't get one when the wolf squared off at him. However the pause at the sound of the wolf's name nearly had tears spring from Loki’s eyes. They had found his son, it was just a matter of freeing him now. Of course that was the moment the Bifrost opened behind them Loki whirled around in a panic expecting to find Odin there ready to take away his son. He saw his mother first and relaxed for a second before he saw Odin and panic flared again. "Mother..." Loki questioned his tone almost begging. He knew not how much control the council had over such matters nor Odin still and it was possible his mother's hands could be tied on such a matter. Subconsciously Loki drew his magic in ready for anything to prevent his child to be taken from him again.
