Should we skip to thanksgiving soon?

Loki smiled as Tony moved to his side of the bed. He didn't mind that the man pulled out the tablet and messed with it. His mate wasn't tired and was probably going to filter all those ideas out of his mind and into a project. Loki fell asleep smiling content and happy with everything.

The following days passed quickly. Between the clean-up from the general chaos the world had gone through and the preparations for Thanksgiving, there seemed to be little down time for anyone. Fenrir woke the day that everyone finally made it back home. Tony had made a point of giving Loki and his son space to walk and work things out, but he had greeted the pup with the rest of the mansion’s residents. He’d also taken some time in the evening to meet Fenrir and get to know the pup and try to create some sort of bond with him. Mischief tried to stay well out of the wolf’s reach, but didn’t seem too bothered by him for the most part, so no one could really complain. On Thanksgiving, everyone was up early and people began arriving early in the morning, though some wouldn’t come until closer to dinner. Bruce and Betty hadn’t invited anyone and Natasha and Clint had decided to get Maria Hill to join them, Thor and Jane had Jane’s assistant and mentor coming as well as Volstagg and Hogunn, both of whom had been warned that this ‘feast’ would be different than Asgard. Steve invited Sam, who would be moving in before Christmas after he’d gotten approval from the rest of the Avengers. Tony had his standard entourage of three, Happy, Pepper, and Rhodey coming, and Frigga told Loki that she was bringing all of his children with her, and promised that they’d be in human form on arrival not to disturb anyone or give Steve a heart attack as he tried to figure out how to feed a giant serpent..

Tony was flourishing in the packed mansion as he usually did with crowds. He wasn’t drinking much, but was coasting on a pleasant buzz by noon and was currently regaling a full living room with a story about Rhodey, who was laughing heartily, but denying all of Tony’s claims. Of course Tony’s storytelling was only made better by the fact that he had a little black kitten draped over a shoulder, where she’d settled earlier and refused to move from.

Loki had been watchful over Fenrir the whole time the pup was asleep. When the pup had finally woken Loki had been ecstatic. He had explained everything to Fenrir and told the pup that he was never going to let him go again. Fenrir had been understanding and gave Tony the chance that was deserved. Come Thanksgiving Loki was up early with Steve and everyone else and was preparing his part of the feast. He was excited because his whole family but Odin were coming. He was excited for the siblings to reunite themselves. He watched Tony through out the day and wasn't surprised that his mate was a bit buzzed by midday. He figured it would dissipate a bit when the man ate dinner. The one thing that bothered Loki was that Fenrir still hadn't acquired his human form. He couldn't quite get the concept when Loki tried to show him and Loki knew why but he also shivered at the thought of what it might take. He knew he couldn't do it he would persevere to teach his son the way he was.

Tony paused when he felt the familiar prickle of magic that meant the Bifrost was opening. “Lo, They’re here.” He called over the bond, plucking Mischief from his shoulder to hold her in his arms as he headed for the front door. Right as he opened it the whole Asgardian crew were coming up the front steps, he’d seen Hela and Jor in their human forms before, but he was shocked by Sleepnir’s appearance. Though he held the same family resemblance of his siblings, he was massive, larger than Thor. But his posture screamed of being shy and uncomfortable, head ducked slightly and eyes soft. “Welcome!” Tony greeted, throwing the doors wide open and stepping aside so they could come into the entry hall.

Loki looked up without replying when Tony said through the bond that his family had arrived. Loki followed his mate calling to his pup. "Fenrir they are here." he called out. When the door was opened Loki smiled brightly seeing all three of his visiting children in their human forms. "Greetings, welcome. Come meet everyone." Loki bid as his family entered.

Fenrir perked up when Loki called for him. Barreling out of the living room and into the hallway, he almost looked comical, slipping and sliding on the wood floors, but he managed to launch himself at full speed at his siblings, Hela catching him with open arms and laughing, the siblings instantly closed in around Fenrir, greeting him and talking all at once. Tony couldn’t help but smile at the sight, just watching from a distance as he scratched at Mischief’s ears. Frigga laughed at the reunion and quickly moved to hug and greet Loki. Thor also managed to slip out by that time, greeting his friend heartily, making the entry hall loud and chaotic with all of the Asgardians..

Loki looked back over his shoulder as Fenrir bounded from the living room towards the door. He smiled as Hela caught the pup and all the siblings all crowded around each other. It was something that pleased him greatly seeing his children together. Embracing his mother as she slipped away from his children. "I am glad you could slip away from your duties for the day." Loki spoke his tone a happy one.

Frigga smiled warmly at her son. “One day for my family is hardly a problem.” She said gently. Looking to her grandchildren, she couldn’t help but laugh at the sight. “Didn’t I tell you your children would be happy?” she asked, looking to her son, knowing he’d doubted her visions. It was then that Thor managed to get to her and she hugged him tightly, greeting him and looking over him having last seen him on Asgard during that mess with the dark elves. And of course Uncle Thor was ever popular with his niece and nephews, so the greetings continued.

Loki shrugged when his mother said that one day for the family was hardly a problem. To him it meant a lot to have his whole family here. "You did indeed." he smiled. His mother had been right but that still didn't mean her vision had included the child within his belly. He had been growing worried more more as the pregnancy progressed. He had begun to show slightly, just enough for him to notice and perhaps Tony if the man paid close enough attention not that Loki let him.

Frigga finally snagged Fenrir from Hela, lavishing attention on her grandson. She had always spoiled her grandchildren, and always would. The three turned on Loki hugging and greeting him eagerly, more than happy to be around their mother again. Hela however pulled from the crowd and approached Tony, who was inching his way back towards the living room, having little to do here. He gave her a small smile as she approached, but the expression turned to shock as she wrapped him in a hug. “Thank you…..thank you for finding my brother.” She murmured. The smile returned then and the genius slowly wrapped his arms around her. “It really wasn’t a problem.” He said slowly, but it was nice to have one more of Loki’s children seeming to warm up to him at least.

Loki watched as his mother snagged Fenrir from his siblings and lava she'd him with attention. The pup of course licked her face in greeting squirming happily in his grandmother's arms. When his other children turned to him he smiled and embraced them all only casting a small glance to tony when Hela pulled away. He spent a few moments chatting with his two boys as he let Tony have his moment with Hela. When it seemed that was done he beckoned everyone inside and set about introducing his family to everyone. After everyone had settled for a little bit Hela turned to her mother. "Mother why has Fenrir not gained his human form yet, have you not shown him?" she questioned. Loki froze at her question. "He has not quite grasped it yet, he is having a bit of trouble." Loki answered. Hela gave a suspicious look, she couldn't imagine her brother would have much trouble if Loki shifted to look like him and then changed back. "You took his form and showed him?" she asked. Loki looked away from her at that question and her suspicion grew. "No." he answered.

Tony settled beside Loki when they reached the living room, dropping Mischief in his lap to deal with for a while. He was only halfway listening to the Asgardians, his attention drawn to a conversation between Maria Hill and the resident assassins. Leaning against Loki slightly, he frowned at Hela’s question though, looking to her and then looking to Loki. “turning into a wolf would help him? Isn’t it more about controlling magic? I mean he should be able to picture changing into a human right?” he asked, completely lost. Of course he had no idea how magic really worked, especially this type of magic.

Loki had accepted Mischief gratefully when Tony had dropped her into his lap. Her and Fenrir had mostly settled their differences and he had been glad seeing it. Sometimes the pair even played together which Loki always had JARVIS record so he could watch when he felt like it.

Hela smiled almost amused at Tony's question. "I suppose in a way after you've seen it you could merely do that. But this magic is more than an illusion, you must learn to reshape your body from what it is to a human form. It was always easier for us to learn if mother shifted into a form that looked like ours and then showed us how to shift from there." Hela explained.

Tony tilted his head slightly. “Fenrir would be able to see the changing process? When Jor changed it was just a bunch of glowing light and then there was a human on deck.” Tony said, completely lost at that point. Of course part of it was the fact that Loki had never really transformed before in front of him to give him something to go on. Loki just removed and replaced his illusion over his Jotun form and that was about the extent of the transformative magic Tony had seen.

"Of course, our mother can slow his change to show him how to do it step by step. As we grow more used to shifting it becomes easier and we can shift like Jor does or like myself without all the smoke and mirrors." Hela explained watching her mother. Loki looked pained at the mention of how he could teach his children to shift to another form. She was wondering why her mother had not taken Fenrir's form and showed him.
