I take back what I said. I actually prefer the clunky, older ones to these newer ones. These new kimono are so poorly made that they look like blotches of paint on top of larger blotches of paint. They are not outlined or as detailed as what you would expect of a kimono. The obi is too straight, does not follow the curvature of the body, and looks like a brightly colored board of wood.
How disappointing. The accessories are not bad, but the kimono are a disgrace. They could've been great, they could've been amazing, but they look awful. Honestly, what is with Gaia these days? They never used to give us substandard items and clothing until recently. Is it as I fear? Is it that Gaia no longer puts any thought or care into what it creates for people to put on their avatars? Are they just mass producing items and to hell with the details?
The Kosode look more like actual kimono than the kimono do themselves. While the colors are not brilliant, they are more detailed than the kimono are, which is a real shame.
I have half a mind to start a petition demanding they redo the kimono they've just released, and demand that they pay proper attention to detail this time instead of slapping bits and bobs there and hoping the thing is so flashy nobody will notice.

Tommy was gonna have the biggest bestest volcano science project ever! He'd surely win the school competition. ...but when he seared the eyebrows off of one of the judges, Tommy wondered if he shouldn't have used gasoline as a fuel...
(Anyone think this is arena worthy? x3 )
