Feeling the flames wash over his body would be the final straw on Gruff's poor psyche, sending the Marowak rolling out of the rest of the flames before it stood and stared at the Ninetails with widened eyes. Giving it a moment, the Marowak would scream like the disturbed mental patient the last few moves had made him and charge for the Ninetails with his fists wildly thrashing to slam into it. It was a.....unique reaction for certain, especially to lead up to an Endeavor attack.

Ninetales took its pummeling from the crazy person, its hit points dropping dramatically as up until now it had not taken much damage. Blaine watched as his fox tried to get away but the loony Marowak just kept coming at it, no matter what Ninetales did it stayed on course. "And people say I'm crazy!" Blaine said with a laugh. "Please, rest my bone loving friend. Extrasensory." With a glare, Ninetales would unless another mental assault, this time she was attempting to induce unconsciousness in Marowak by squeezing its mind as hard as she could before the insane Pokemon killed them both.

Continuing to unleash his high pitched scream of rage, insanity, and mild frustration, the fleeing Ninetails managed to go over the bone that had been left abandoned on the ground. Seeing an opportunity through his crazed state, the Marowak went to grab it regardless of its weight. Attempting to throw it as a Bonemerang, the Extrasensory would hit him mid-spin, sending the projectile flying high towards the ceiling as the Marowak collapsed on the ground. Well, that was a strange one.

The bone would fly up and slam into the ceiling, causing it to crack and chunks break off, falling onto the field, knocking Ninetales out. "Another draw it would seem. The puzzle deepens!" Blaine said with a laugh as he recalled his fox, stashing the ball away, then taking out a third Pokeball and hurling it onto the field.
With a neigh, the flaming horse Pokemon known as Rapidash would appear, raising up on its hind legs as it kicked at the air in a display of determination. "And now, to change the rules a bit!" Blaine cackled as the volcano began to rumble and chunks of the field began to fall away. Despite the field crumbling away, Rapidash remained still and did not fret.
After all was said and done, the field was replaced by a series of flat top pillars rising out of the lava way down below. If you couldn't fly you now had to jump from pillar to pillar to attack your foe directly. Things got a little bit different.

Quickly calling back his Marowak as the battlefield fell apart into a series of pillars that simply stood around the battlefield. Looking to his bag, Reno found himself with a new problem. It appeared most of his choices in Pokemon weren't that maneuverable and that certainly did not seem like the way to go with this sort of battle.
Sighing before throwing a Pokeball, Reno watched as its occupant landed with a thud on top of one of the higher pillars. "Tesei, Toxic Spikes! Leave him only a few ways ta go!" Reno ordered, watching as his Cloyster began to coat many of the nearby pillars with purple colored spikes, leaving only a few open lanes that the Cloyster could easily observe.
Well, at least that was the goal, since the spikes were not a perfect coating. Deciding that rather than allow the Rapidash time to find a path, Tesei fired off a weak Bubblebeam that aimed to send it panicked through the Toxic Spikes or deal some damage.

Blaine just smiled at these turn of events, seemed like his challenger was finally making more tactical moves instead of brute force, was a nice change of pace. "So now he adds a twist to the puzzle! Let's see if we can't crack it. Rapidash, Sunny Day!"
With a wild neigh, Rapidash's flames would begin to momentarily glow white hot, a small ball of yellow energy forming above its horn as the horse rose up on its hind legs. The ball would reach the size of a basketball before firing up into the air and eventually hover above the battlefield, glowing slightly larger as it shined its warm rays on the field, making the already hot room even hotter. It was starting to get harder to breath at this point it was so hot but Blaine seemed to like it. Weirdo.

Reno stared over to Blaine before giving a small smile to the crazy old man. "Well, this is interestin'.....Wait a minute. I'm gonna stop this right here an' now. Tesei, Supersonic." Reno ordered, feeling the heat of the room continue to grow muggy as the new sun shone above them. It was never a good idea to leave an opponent able to react easily when they had the advantage. The Cloyster would listen for a moment before he began to shout at the Rapidash with some inaudible noise that would affect the Pokemon's head by knocking it off balance and confusing the poor thing.

"Not so fast, ho ho! Bounce!" Blaine called out. Rapidash leaped up into the air, preparing to come crashing down on Cloyster. Unfortunately the Supersonic still got to the horse, causing it to flail around in midair, miss its target, and smack down onto one of the platforms with the Toxic Spikes on it. Ouch.

Watching the Rapidash rise gracefully into air before slamming down onto the Toxic Spikes like a rock from the sky, Reno decided he might as well add insult to that injury. "Yeah, not so fast, are ya? Guess I'll need ta show ya how ta really rock. Rock Blast, Tesei." Reno taunted Blaine, watching his Cloyster fire off a complete volley of rocks towards the Rapidash with intent to end the battle quickly.

How about flashy? Solarbeam!" Blaine shouted. Rapidash would remain in its fallen position, not even bothering to get up as it rapidly absorbed light into its horn from the artificial sun, firing off a powerful beam of concentrated light right at the incoming rocks, blasting through them with ease as it continued towards its immobile target. Rapidash winced in pain from the poison in its body.

"How about panicked? Tesei, Ice Spear! Try and repel it, please!" Reno rushed out, watching the Solarbeam continue to draw closer even as the massive volley of icicles attempted to meet it. Hopefully that would prevent it from doing massive damage. It was worth a shot.

Reno rushed out, watching the Solarbeam continue to draw closer even as the massive volley of icicles attempted to meet it. Hopefully that would prevent it from doing massive damage. It was worth a shot. The Icicle Spear would serve its purpose, causing a great deal of the Solarbeam to dissipate and yet the Sunny Day insured that some of the beam would slam into Cloyster, the Ice type attack just not strong enough. "Keep it up, show it how shocking we can be, ho ho ho! Wild Charge!" Right after the Solarbeam hit its mark, Rapidash would jump off the platform and fly straight for Cloyster, its flames crackling with intense electricity as it planned to ran into Cloyster horn first, an aura of electricity extending from said horn.

Spinning around on the pillar as the Solarbeam impacted, Tesei would eventually face the Rapidash again as the Wild Charge became a greater threat to him. "Tesei, Mud Shot! Please let it do somethin'!" Reno shouted out, eyes darting around as he attempted to find some way to turn the tables on this one. Tesei might not show it, but he didn't look so good.

The Mud Shot hit but it did not stop Rapidash, instead the horse was turned into a spinning electric projectile which would slam into the Cloyster and hurt its self on the spikes. Rapidash would be done after sitting on Cloyster for a few seconds, the poison would be its closing call, on the other hand the electricity in its body was unleashed on Tesei with full force, another super effective hit.

The electricity would hit Tesei and course through his shell, projecting a massive stream of electricity from his main horn into the sky. Which certainly signaled his elimination from the battle, and looked pretty impressive at the same time. Simply staring for a moment before letting out a low whistle, Reno opened another Pokeball to unleash the horror upon the battlefield. The horror of...a Wynaut spinning on its head with its tongue stuck out. Breathing in with a renewed sense of the area and a strange presence from the balding man he was battling, Reno awaited the next opposing Pokemon.
