Oh, finally. I haven't read that one, so I didn't know.

Yeh.

But she's still a politician at heart.

Yeah, well I guess that makes sense. Jedi training can't completely change someone's character.

Daydreaming: I want to be a Jedi....

Ooops. Did I post that out loud? Hee hee... redface

Yeah I haven't really been into the books until recently, but I just finished "Heir to the Empire" and I absolutely loved it. It was amazing.

Most of the EU is pretty amazing, from my experiences.

The EU is awesome. It's more SW than the films, at least for me.

Just stay away from The Crystal Star. I heard its terrible, afterall a Trekkie wrote it.

GO STAR WARS!!!
go star trek.

See the difference. Not-so-much enthusiasm on the latter. But it's still there, just not nearly as cool...at all...

Star Trek is like..hard scifi.

Star Wars is more space operaish and space fantasy.

Operaish?

Yea. Notice how every planet pretty much has one climate? A desert planet, an ice planet... Just like a stage to an opera.

I wish I could remember exactly where I found it. There was this article that I read once when I was doing research (RotS critique), which was very in-depth on the subject, comparing star wars to an opera. I only remember parts of it, but it made very logical sense.

And then the paper went on to show how it is so fantasy when compared to the more realistic Star Trek. But it was most.... enlightinging.

Wow. Sounds pretty cool. If you ever find that again, PM me or something. Becasue I'd like to read that. 3nodding

But yes, I'll sit and watch Star Trek and enjoy it a lot. I probably watch Star Trek more than I do Star Wars. But that's just because there are only 6 Star Wars movies to watch, and like 10 types of Star Treks with several seasons each to watch. It kinda overwhelmes Star Wars.

Yes, but SW has quality to ST's quantity, In My opinion.

Star Trek explains much more that SW, though elvis.

Its not really quantity either, since the different series of ST really have nothing to do with each other. Its like having the different eras of Star wars each tel a story. the original Star Trek would be like KotOR, the next gen is the clone wars, dsn is GCW, etcetera etcetera.

Its just that SW has something ST doesn't normally have: Big action packed scenes.

I mean, the most action Star Trek ever showed is the occasional Enterprise blowing up a Bird of Prey or like in First Contact, where the Borg attack.

And I don't care what kind of guy you are, Men like Action. Star Wars, the original triology, is like braveheart. Soemthing my friends call affectionately, a "d**k flick".

While AotC is a chick flick, ANH and ESB are definately d**k flicks.
