Serene relaxed. "oh. I see..." A shooting star streaked across the sky. "LOOK! it's a shooting star!" Serene exclaimed, jumping up and running over to the edge of the balcony. "let's make a wish!" she said happily.

I wish...that Gaara will always be by my side... Serene thought, closing her eyes.

Serene leaned against Gaara's shoulder. "Gaara? uhmmm..." her face flushed a deep red. "I..." she looked down. "I...I told you...that I loved you....right?" she said, blushing a bright pink.

"Yes you did, I love you too" Said Gaara

Serene blushed a light pink. "good." She leaned against his shoulder and looked up into the sky.

"Gaara? How many stars do you think are out there?"

"I don't know Serene, I don't know" Said Gaara smiling

The next morning, Serene woke up in her bed, Gaara nowhere around.
"oh...I must've fallen asleep in his arms last night and he brought me in..."

Serene slipped out of bed, putting a morning robe over her sleep dress.

She stretched and yawned and went in the direction of Gaara's room.
"hmmm...I wonder where he went...he's not there..."

Today was Serene's 19th birthday, but nobody knew that...or so she thought.

Serene went back into her room and quickly ran a brush through her hair to make it look silky and shiny.

"I think I'm just going to get readyu for my day..." Serene said to herself as she slipped out of her clothes and into the shower. The beads of water punded rhythmically on her back and on her head.

Serene then got out, put on a robe and walked over to her walk-in closet. That's when she saw it. Her special birthday kimono. The kimono was a hot pink with gold embroidery of cherry blossoms around the edges. Inside the kimono it was lined with gold silk and a gold ribbon was wrapped around her waist ans a golden thread around that.

On her feet, she slipped on her golden sandals that she wore with all her kimono's with gold in it. She carefully put on the kimono as best as she could and quickly walked over to the door, peeking out, she spotted Temari.

"psst! Temari! can you come in here? I need your help with spmething!!" she whispered as quietly as she could without getting the attention of the boys.

"Sure I'll hurry up then" Said Temari quitely /////in the living room//////
"Did you here whispering Kankuro?" Asked Gaara
"Nope. Got any fours?" Said Kankuro
"No. Go fish" Said Gaara

Serene quietly closed the door behind her after Temari came in.
"Hey, Temari...do you think Gaara knows its my birthday today?" she asked with a little hopefullness inn her voice.

Serene went over to her closet and grabbed the thick golden ribbon to tie around her waist and then the golden rope to go over it. She then went over to her jewelery box and got out her crystalized cherry blossom necklace that had a few pink stones in it.

Serene turned back to Temari and smiled. "I was wondering if you knew how to, well, french braid hair?" She asked, a light blush crawling onto her cheeks.
"I just want to look my best today...that's all..."

She went over to her mirror and added some eyecolor, lip color and eyeliner and blush.

"now all I have to do is the hair...which is why I needed your help..." she said to Temari.  

[Ichibi-No-Gaara]

"Sure I can help you, and Gaara definately knows it's your birthday" Said Temari

"So Kankuro have you got what I asked you to get" Said Gaara
"Yeah I have all of it in a scroll in Crow, Why did you need all of that jewelery?" Said Kankuro
"No Reason at all I just wanted it" Said Gaara
"Your gonna give all of that gold and stuff to Serene arn't you" Said Kankuro
"Just give me all of the jewelery now" Said Gaara
"No"Said Kankuro
"Sand Coffin, Sand burial!" Said Gaara
***CRUNCH!!!!!*****
"MY FREAKING ARM!" Yelled Kankuro
"Thanks for the scroll and the blood to unseal it" Said Gaara
///////Serene's Room/////
"Um I think Gaara just crushed Kankuro's Arm" Said Temari
****Knock Knock Knock****
"UM Serene Can I Come In" Said Gaara

"Y-yeah...come in..." Serene stuttered, flushing a deep crimson red. When Gaara walked through the door, she tried to hide the blush. "H-hey Gaara..." she said, smiling and with a deep blush on her cheeks.

"Um Serene I want to um give you some stuff" Said Gaara nervously

Serene looked up abruptly. "Do you wanna go out on the balcony...so we can be alone?" she asked, a little slowly, the blush on her cheeks getting darker.

"No because I need Temari to help me" Said Gaara
"What do you mean Gaara?" Asked Temari
"Unseal A scroll for me please" Said Gaara
**five minutes later****
"Gaara this is the entire sand village treasury, why is it here"Said Temari shocked
"For Serene" Said Gaara
