SubonicXP "Now Graveler! Gyro Ball!" Brock ordered, though the Astonish made the Graveler wince it didn't stop it from executing the command as it curled up into a ball and began to spin vigorously, it's speed increasing until it was nothing but a gray blur, gray blur that began to glow brightly as it created a vacuum which threatened to suck in Timeless, and grind the Zubat against the rugged body of the Graveler. Without speech notice, Veronica desperately switched Timeless to BlackCrystal. I hate it when I do this. BlackCrystal was almost knocked out by the hit, but was able to get back up. "Sand Tomb." she hid away her worry, thinking about how she could have trained them up some more before this. BlackCrystal conjured up sand from the rocks and shot them at the Graveler, the attack itself did average for the trapinch's size but it would hurt the opponent each turn.

But there was a surprise in store for BlackCrystal once the Pokemon was released, the omnious floating stones that were put up earlier in the battle, thanks to Graveler's Stealth Rock, suddenly darted towards BlackCrystal the moment it appeared, stabbing at it. None-the-less the Sand Tomb attack made its way for Graveler and pummeled the Pokemon, causing it to topple over knocked out as it was unable to continue fighting. "You're doing well, let's see if you can keep it." Brock said recalling Graveler back to its ball, the gym leader would then pocket the Pokeball, taking out another one and tossing it into the air. As the ball pops open a giant rock snake appears from within the device in a show of light. "Oniiix!" The beast would roar. "Onix, it's time to show our challenger our rock solid willpower. Onix, use Dragonbreath!" Brock commanded. The Rock Pokemon would inhale deeply and then aim its head down at the ground as it opened its mouth, releasing a stream of blue and green fire-like substance which would sweep across the ground, flowing towards BlackCrystal.

SubonicXP But there was a surprise in store for BlackCrystal once the Pokemon was released, the omnious floating stones that were put up earlier in the battle, thanks to Graveler's Stealth Rock, suddenly darted towards BlackCrystal the moment it appeared, stabbing at it. None-the-less the Sand Tomb attack made its way for Graveler and pummeled the Pokemon, causing it to topple over knocked out as it was unable to continue fighting. "You're doing well, let's see if you can keep it." Brock said recalling Graveler back to its ball, the gym leader would then pocket the Pokeball, taking out another one and tossing it into the air. Veronica sighed as her pokemon went forth and send a blast of water in the Onix's direction.

The gym leader commanded, the giant Pokemon would proceed to let out a massive roar as a glow of green energy surrounded him for a brief second before a twister of the same green color exploded into existence around him, spinning around the rock snake violently as it consumed the incoming water, protecting the Rock Pokemon. The Twister around Onix, once protecting it from the Water Pulse, would then make its way for Spirit, threatening to consume it too.

SubonicXP The beast roared again as the water splashed up against it, but it didn't stop its attack, no, it only angered it further as it put more thrust behind its tail swing, it was going to hit for sure, but either way it still took a great deal of damage from the Water type move, barely hanging in there. Spirit tried to ready up another Water Pulse but it wasn't any more than a water gun attack when it got too late; bam. The force of the iron not only knocked out Spirit but made an impression on the floor and threw Veronica back. "Stupid rock types." she mumbled and returned Spirit to his pokeball. Then, when the dust cleared, Chi was sent out. "Almost done, Mach Punch." Veronica's voice seemed altered, almost angry like. Not one like she would normally talk to Chi, of all her pokemon, with. Still, without further ado from that thought, Chi obeyed and launched to punch at the Onix.

Blizzard120 This caught Zangoose rather off guard. Literally no one else that he knew first hand wanted any business near that stuff. And yet Tails was more than willing to give it a shot. The cat ferret couldn't hide his excitement. "Zangoose!" He was more than willing to share to see if he could rope in someone else to have a treat with him. Tails grabbed one strip, and found it was a portion near the tail blade. While the only organ in this portion was the poison sac, it was easily extracted. Holding both ends, he began to gnaw on it. A little tough. Gamey. A certain kind of benign sourness that tended to seep into the meat of a poison Pokemon. But this combined with the seasoning in the batter provided, he thought, an addictive flavor targeted at a wilder audience. "I think I've been wanting something like this."

Tails blew a raspberry at Blizz. "You don't even like Rattata, Blizz. I bet this is an acquired taste to most people. Tristen, do you wanna try?" He shot a curious glance to Zigzagoon over this.

Zangoose went from looking at Tails then to looking at Tristen. "Um...not...really. Though my reasons are different from Blizz's probably."
"Really. And what's yours?" I asked.
"What's yours?" Tristen asked back.
"I didn't exactly get brought up on eating Pokemon like that." I said. "And something I dont want to think on eating."
"Its that kind that, whenever I did get meat back at the tribe, it was something I got sick over." He said. Bad experiences...
"Zangoose..." Typical of me to say, didn't expect Tristen's too much however, Zangoose thought.
