Aww... I feel your pain, Doomie. I've been having to get up a lot earlier than usual because of my job, too. XP I'm not a morning person, either. *hugglepets* But I'm glad things are workin' out for ya, on the whole. Lookin' forward to that comic, too! =p
Well, today was a bit hellish at work. @_@;; I worked from 8 to almost 5, even though I was only supposed to work until about 4. But that would have been ok in itself. But after my lunchbreak was over (around 1:30 or so) I worked non-stop from then until I got off work, even though I'm supposed to have a fifteen minute break in there somewhere. And it wasn't just sitting at the register... oh no. See, we have a serious shortage of cashiers. (hence why they hired me, heh.) So there were only a couple registers open, and a BUTTLOAD of customers. I was checking people out the whole time. There wasn't a break in the flow the whole time. No matter how quick I moved, the line kept getting longer.
And here's the fun part- it was only my first full day. And technically should have been my first day of training at the register. But I was on my own almost from the get-go. <@.@> So they're not only understaffed, but disorganized. And when I needed help with something, it took ages to finally get a manager or someone to come over to help. >_>;;; So yeah, was very hectic. I hope they get more cashiers soon, cus I can't take another day like today anytime soon. <@_@> I'm just glad most of the customers were fairly understanding... oi vey...

Well, Draco whent back to the vet, and we took X-rays. When you look at her skeleton, you can see that her head is clearly defined and bright white, and her spine is less bright, her front legs are hardly visable, and you REALLY have to look for her back legs on them. Which means the darker the limb is, the more brittle it is. So Draco is really deficient. Which is odd, her calcium level is threw the roof, and yet shes not getting enough. Which means shes ovulating, and possabley stuck in pre-ovulation status. So shes getting a double dose of calcium. Which means gut-loaded, Calcium dusted crickets. Also more salads and some wax worms--which shes not thrilled with.
we also took Beeper in; and found out his agression was due to the fact.. hes blind. He can't tell when my hand comes close to him, and it scares him. He was also dropped on the floor, which has happened before, hes got a thing for flailing out of peoples arms. I'm sad, though the vet says its nothing I did, im worried. sweatdrop

You think YOU'RE understaffed.......XD
Our grocery store has only three checkout counters, only two of which are open every day, save for first of the month, which is like demons coming in and ripping the place apart. After six or so, one of the checkers goes home, leaving the store in the hands of two sackers, a night manager, and a checker. I despise it when people try to come in at the last minute.....when eight oclock rolls around, we close and mop, and people who linger in the store make me VERY mad indeed.
And yes, there's a massive cashier shortage at Walmart. Possibly because of the fact that you have to know basic math skills in order to do it. And God KNOWS nobody nowadays has those. xd
I love Walmart. I would shop there all the time if it carried certain things I wanted.......like lime flavored seltzer water......-_- So I'm forced to go to Muskogee every once in a while.......
Wow.......I typed a lot......and didn't mean to......o.o

Manda_Tifa Good luck, Doomie! What city are you going to? Do you live in Montreal now? heart
Yep, Montreal. =3
Crenn Ok, I'll start this one with Doomie first. Sounds good Doomie, I hope everything works out for you. Just remember, you don't need expensive internet to get online. Even Dial Up works, although you'll have problems with other things sweatdrop (like games). Remember, Night Shifts also has disadvantages as well as advantages, but I doubt you should have problems. Also it sounds like you need to change your sleeping patterns slightly blaugh .
Hehe, indeed, though I think I'll try for a cheap plan in Sympatico's highspeed still. Uploading a drawing shouldn't take an hour, no matter what. XD
FogSage I'm so mad at myself right now. I've given up on losing weight.......for some reason, all that tracking of points and having to look s**t up just.....doesn't interest me any more. I am on my way back to FatAssville. It's pretty outside.....the kind of weather I should be out in.......but I feel so lethargic......gaargh.......x_x *starts punishing himself by denying himself ice cream* T.T
Avoid hunger like the plague. Seriously, if you're hungry, EAT. It doesn't have to be something big, just pretzels or corn flakes or chez mix or something, though peanuts are preferable if you're not allergic, as they count as proteins and help cut down hunger. If you try starving yourself to lose weight, you're only going to make your body go into hunger mode and you'll simply retain twice as much from what you eat.
Also, have a good SUGARLESS breakfast. Actually, avoid sugar in general except in small doses. It's a risk that you can give yourself insulin (sp?) boosts which, as before, make you prone to gain weight more easily.
Thirdly, eat more when you wake up and less in your last meal of the day as a general rule. When you just got up, you have ALL DAY to digest your meal and burn off the excess energy at work or the likes. You don't burn off your meal when sleeping, so have a guess at where it goes.
Not the most complicated tricks to bear in mind, these can help you gain a level of control on your weight if you're alarmed about it. Just don't expect an overnight loss, we're going for longterm with these, not just losing it fast and gaining twice as much afterwards because the body reacts badly to the loss of weight. XO
Crenn Ok, well, I told my father about my strange behaviour. He's going to organise an appointment for Saturday morning if our GP is there. Hopefully this is a step forward for the best. But I'm making sure that he can be there with me.... I don't want my mother coming in with me.... because she'll start yelling at me and saying I'm a rebellious teenager xp
Well geez, you're only seeking professional help to assist you in diagnosing what could be a possible mental health issue. It's so revellious of an act, we'd think you're joining the local motorcycle gangs.
... ninja *bursts out laughing*
Best of luck with that, I hope all goes well and they can help you. ^_^
Oh gods, let's hope they get new chasiers. sweatdrop And get ready, you're going to love Christmas. domokun mrgreen

Like knock on the ground near him two times. You know, give him some kind of vibration he can feel that lets him know it is you and not some predator or prey approaching. Also might want to always try approaching him in a certain way. Like perhaps the first thing you do after knocking twice on the ground near him his rub down his back twice. Basicly I guess try and find a way to communicate with his good senses. Since he can't recognize you by sight, and you can't call his name, you just have to work with touch.

Well, today was very interesting. I'm being accused of hacking the library computers and changing the start up screen (Windows XP - Mr A Edition) except the thing is, I wouldn't bother doing it. It's petty, and it's the most moronic thing you could do. Sure, it's a laugh, but if you did it, and was found out, you can get into serious trouble.

A 64kbps upload won't take an hour.... but I see what you mean, if you can, get a 128kbps upload, but 64kbps will work.

Yes, but it's better to start with a 'general' doctor and then go to specialists if needed. But the doctor we're seeing is a family friend and the doctor who diagnosed my father's Bipolar.
And my mother is talking about other things... not the fact I wanted to see the doctor....
