You guys have plenty of bands like uhh... patent pending? wait NOT A SKA BAND ANYMORE. uhh Too Short Notice? I think they died. Catch 22 I'm glad to see they didn't die. streetlight manifesto.... LOL. uhmmm. bombtown? didn't they die and then play more shows? does NJ just suck too much for ska?

My very local area doesn't have anything, or at least I haven't found it yet, and I'm not expecting to find much of anything. Everything in my area is country, and rap. If you are out in the rural areas then you will hear a lot of country and if your close to the city you will hear a lot of rap. once in a while you will hear some classic rock. I'm sure there are a lot of bands accross the state. However my car is as good as dead. I wouldn't take that POS on a long trip. A lot of good ska bands come through here all the time though. Unfortunatly I can never find any one to go with.

The ska scene here in Sarnia, ON has been dwindling as of late
back in December, there was a show that was a "LAST SHOW EVER" for four of the 5 bands playing, including quite possibly the greatest ska band no one has heard of, Over The Top (don't believe me? http://www.reverbnation.com/overthetop , try to prove me wrong).
A couple of ska bands show up every now and then, but it's more on the ska-core side of things, with bands like Corporation and The Flatliners (although the latter of the two is more punk than ska, it's still there)
I miss skankin to some horns at a show crying
