Personality: Izo is a kindly girl deep down, a girl who wants to love and be loved in return. However, when she was just a little cub she befriended a firefly down by the water's edge. However, at the firefly's sudden death little Izo was hurt deeply and now she is afraid of openly loving others for fear that the pain will return again.
So, instead of being open-hearted as she wishes, she closes everyone out, determined not to let anyone get close to her in case she loses them.
This in turn makes her quite sad and no matter how much she tries to pretend, she adores her family and craves friendship. Only time will tell whether she makes friends who can open up her heart.

History: Born a princess into the Kizingo'zaa, the child grew up well loved and happy. However, one day she befriended a firefly who guided her home in the dark and she went every day to watch the firefly flitting over the pool. It was the biggest of all the glow bugs so she recognised it instantly. However, one day she came to the pool and could not find her friend. However, upon searching she saw something floating in the pool and on closer inspection found the firefly dead.
Heartbroken, Izo returned home not understanding why her friend wouldn't wake up. This event will spell out her life in the future.

Personality: Mchawi is bitter and twisted. There's not much more to say about her. She frequently upsets and scares other lions, something which Mchawi, disdainful, clearly cultivates. And many do believe that she's a 'witch' able to work magic - and perhaps curses - upon them.
She has little love or patience for anyone except her two brothers, whom she loves desperately, though she would never say it. This, however, is clear through her actions towards them.
She is a killer and is proud of this fact. She seems to have no concept of guilt or the precious thread of life. If someone loses their usefulness she won't hesitate to kill them herself, or have one of her brothers do it.
Being a seer also gives her that dangerous edge and she certainly uses all the visions she recieves - these visions, however, are uncontrollable and come and go as they please. They also tend not to be very clear so a lot of guesswork is involved.
All in all, you'd better hope you don't cross Mchawi's path when she's in a foul mood - which is quite often the case.

Personality:
Rap is a bad boy desperate to be good. Hearing stories about his mother has inspired this little cub more than he would admit. He admires the way she lived her life, putting others before herself. He sees her sacrifice for them as something honourable and beautiful. As such, he is striving to save something worth saving – though he is unsure what that is – in an attempt to make his mother and father proud of him.
Rap is a good boy, deep down. His heart is always in the right place even though his actions don’t always show it. He has a tendency to let his anger get the better of him and when it comes to talking or fighting, he often opts for the fight. Quick to anger, he is also quick to calm and in the right mood Rap can be a very nice lion indeed.
Not the smartest lion, he thinks with his heart and emotion, which can sometimes make it seem that he lacks common sense. In Rap’s mind everything he does makes sense, even if it is madness to others. (Such as throwing himself recklessly into danger or teasing a crocodile with his tail).
Rap believes that a great destiny waits for him, enhanced by Finar-Si’s appearance and the disbanding of his pride. Instead of being sad he embraces it as a sign that his time has come to prove himself to the world.

Personality:
A little unsure of himself, Uddhava is not one to put himself at the centre of attention. Being told his fate early from childhood he has grown up accepting that when he comes of age he is to leave the lands to find a destiny elsewhere. He is a little apprehensive about this but never words such, afraid that he might be thought of as weak.
He bottles it up, but Uddhava has a lot of sadness inside of him. However, the image of being a Firekin keeps him from telling what lies in his heart, it also stills his tears. He regrets that his birth brought his mother’s death, that his brother is reminded of it every time he looks at it. He can’t understand the purpose of his being, though he has deep hopes that he’ll find that purpose outside of the lands.
He is, however, an intelligent young lad, eager to learn about his pride and the outside world. Well-spoken and kindly it would be odd of him to ever bear his claws upon another – though he will, in time, discover his Firekin spirit.

Sisko has had a hard life, though she won't ever tell anyone much of the details. She was born the second pup of two, to a rogue female who simply did not care much for pups. Sisko and her older sister Kaya were abandoned at a young age and would have died if they had not been taken in by a wild dog who suckled them alongside her own litter. However, when the wild dog's mate returned he made it clear that he would have nothing to do with hyenas.
So, when weaned, the wild dog was forced to part ways with them. The sisters, so alike in looks that they could have been twins, travelled as best they could. However, even as they continued to grow their experience was not enough to see them healthy. Undernourished and often sickly, the pair were forced to eat only scraps. When attempting to scavenge from a fresh kill, were chased down by the hunter; a lion.
Sisko - being the smallest of the pair - fell behind and would have been killed if it were not for Kaya swooping in to help. They managed to find their way to a thorny patch of undergrowth where they waited for the danger to pass. The lion gave up and left the sisters alone - though Kaya had been badly wounded.
Her leg was torn up, leaving her barely able to walk. So, Sisko found a nearby shelter and did her best to take care of her sister. But with no experience of the world of or of scavenging, she barely found enough food for herself. What was worse was that Kaya seemed to be growing weaker and weaker. An infection had set in and the hyena had begun to babble nonsense. One day Sisko returned to find her sister in a rage, snapping at thorny branches, her mouth torn and bleeding. She managed to calm her, but the peace would not last for long.
After an exceptionally long scavenging trip, Sisko returned with barely enough food to satisfy her sister - let alone herself. As she entered the den, she could sense somethign was wrong. The scent of blood was heavy in the air and she could hear Kaya's ragged breathing in the darkness. Suddenly the air was full of snapping teeth and Sisko felt a sharp pain across the side of her muzzle. Yelping and backing away, Sisko barely managed to get free in time. Kaya came for her, madness in her eyes. She was screaming at the top of her lungs for Sisko to stay away, convinced that she was the mother who had abandoned them.
Sisko did all she could but nothing would calm her sister. Kaya attacked again, her jaws locking viciously Sisko's neck and in her fear she attacked back. Driven by fear and a desperate need to protect herself, the two sister's engaged in a horrific battle. Eventually, Kaya relinquished her grip and fell to the den, gasping and bleeding. Sisko - horrified at what she had done - watched as her sister faded away. Her sister; the only creature she had ever loved and trusted. She'd been riddled with madness, yes, but had she truly deserved to die? In tears and disbelief, Sisko fled the den, never to return.

Once a carefree, happy and innocent lioness, she is now scarred both physically and mentally.
Anya always knew she was pretty and loved to look at her reflection whenever she got the chance. She always groomed and preened and made sure to keep her fur pristine. But what she wanted even more than to look beautiful was to find her 'happily ever after'.
She imagined herself a princess; a princess who awaited her prince. She wanted him to sweep her off of her paws. Real, true, heartfelt love. She wanted romance. She wanted family. She wanted to be a good and honest wife to a man who would adore and respect her in return.
But, Anya was too innocent. Too trusting. So eager was she to find love that the first male who charmed her with sweet words completely stole her heart away.
First was Riordyn, a con-artist in profession. He wooed her with promises of her becoming his queen. Promised her love and children and all the things she could ever want. A couple of weeks was all it took and she was all his. But, after spending a night together, the male took off without a word, leaving her completely distraught. Feeling used and completely ashamed of herself, Anya became a bit of a recluse, retreating into her little world of make believe. But, as time went on, she began to come back out of her shell, determined to put her past behind her.
A few days after that decision she bumped into another male by the name of, Hala. The male was unconscious and badly wounded and Anya made it her duty to take care of him. When he woke she gave him water, brought him food and, as before, began to fall for him despite the fact he was not as affectionate or loving as she might have wanted. A few weeks later they agreed to give their relationship a try and though Hala clearly harboured no feelings of true love towards her, he appreciated her help and usefulness.
But disaster struck again. Anya discovered, much to her horror, that she was pregnant and knew with all certainty that the cubs were not Hala's, but Riordyn's. Distraught, she tried to hide her upset but failed and finally gave in, revealing to Hala this secret. The male exploded with rage, thinking her a cheater, and attacked her, leaving three deep gashes across her face. Then, with an angry shove, knocked her down into a gorge. The fall led to her miscarriage and she almost died, if it were not for the aid of a kindly avian. The avian, Kucha, brought her to the Dawnwalker lands to recover from her ordeal. However, despite settling in, Anya is still traumatised and refuses to speak.
Jumpy and timid, she has become rather dependant on the jacka, Yuma, to be her voice and protect her when she is out and about in the lands.

Personality:
Lutalo is one of those characters who has a lot of confidence in himself. He thinks he's beautiful, he thinks he's talented. In fact he thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread! A shame really that as far as looks go he's quite average and really he's not exactly special in the skills department either.
Lutalo is a typical male in that (when he gets older) he'll flirt with women and be a complete failure at that too, probably because his whole 'macho' side will come through and often put a woman off before he's said more than his first line.
He's a little socially inept in that he often puts his foot in it and says the completely wrong thing. He'll often be bluntly honest if he doesn't like something and often uses insults as a show of affection.
