Anima_Raptor OberFeldwebel If Fallout 3 is any hint of the actual post apocalyptic world, you should probably save Chess pieces and a manual on how to play Chess. A fellow student had the idea of taking exersize bikes and attaching small rotars on them to generate electricity. Using either car batteries to store the power or some other kind of battery. Then the people who are too stupid to work a field or any such thing charge the batteries. Or of course, it could be a form of punishment or just a type of work detail. IMO; I'd rather ride a bike than work in a damn field. Thats not such a bad idea actually. It's alittle bulky, but keep it in the back of a pickup truck and it could have its uses. There's no sense burning what little gas there would be left in the world for gas generators, im sure there would be some way humanity would figure out how to get things going again Side note; while watching "Life After Humans" They said that the Hoover Dam would produce power for a good hundred years until the tunnels that run the water to the generators get jammed by sealife, so maybe thats a good destination of the would goes fubar.
Well I would assume the bikes would be situated after everything is settled.
Are there any chlorine plants or some such places that if they lose power death will occur, nearby?
Did you see that part of 'Life after Humans'? I find the fact they think people will suddenly disappear, just blinked out of existance.
Leaving cars all running, computers playing porn and air hockey tables blowing air.
They put in the how the emissions from all the cars in the world idling would make things so much harder for the ozone or some such s**t.
Also, if the human race did die out, we'd probably see it coming.

Ya, the idea of everyone just blinking out is really just based off of places that have seen mass exodus, like Pirypat and stuff.
That, and for some reasons are fascinated by their own demise, especially with the 2012 s**t going on.

Well, I'm sure some people turned off their cars when the reactor melted.
That 2012 thing is stupid, it's a hype over misunderstanding. So what, this calender ends, another one starts. No body freaks the ******** out when a year ends, well, except for 1999 which was s**t anyway.

No body freaks the ******** out when a year ends, well, except for 1999 which was s**t anyway. I once asked an ex-reactor operator how long a nuke plant would keep running if everyone disappeared. His answer was, assuming nothing out of the ordinary happened, the boron levels in the water would start dropping, the reaction would begin to run hot, and after about a week the high-temperature sensor would cause a reactor trip and the plant would go cold.
My girlfriend recently found a shirt with a picture of the sun coming over the earth from space, and the caption "2000: IT'S COMING." It's so freaking awesome. xd

I'm sure the 'After Man' or whatever that show is called ignored that shutdown thing and showed the power plant exploding like Chernobyl or perhaps a nuclear bomb.
Or they'll have the 'out of the ordinary' happen. It's just BS to get people to stay away from Nuclear power. Don't want coal and don't want nuclear, I don't think there is enough land to lay out solar panels and wind turbines to get enough power.
There probably is, but then you'd have to buy up a lot of farm land making a large food shortage because they're idiots.
:/ Right.
Lol nice shirt. I should get a 2012 shirt.

Three Mile Island is among the most over-hyped incidents of the modern world. It amassed a grand total of zero related casualties, and subjected the local population to roughly the same amount of radiation you get from staring at your microwave burrito as it cooks. Actually, i think there's plenty of space for it, at least for the turbines. You can get a crap load of them in a few square acres because the things are so damn tall, and now they're starting to put them in the ocean. There's tons of room for that
