No, the stories about Alice have nothing to do with drugs, nor was he on drugs when he wrote them(or any of his other works). Alice was a real little girl who belonged to a family he liked to spend time with.

The book I am currently reading is This Present Darkness and I can't believe I forgot who writes it. *retarded* But it's really good. It's about spiritual warfare, ya know angels and demons and all that. Very good! I can't wait to see how it ends...
