Ratri_Cat BeXlieXve Ratri: Hillary is out of the race, but she's on Obama's side. Zaaki: If Obama wins, he will be president. He won against Hillary, so that made him the Democratic nominee. John McCain won against others on his side, so he's the Republican nominee. So now it's John McCain against Barack Obama, and whoever wins in November will be the president of the United States. Phoenixia: You can still have an opinion. 3nodding Publically yes.
But she had made it clear that she wants to be the next presidential nominee in...8 years from now. Next trial. If obama becomes prez, then she wouldn't be able to run against him. If mc cain wins, then she can run again, because there would be a new prez nominee for teh dems and mccain would be too far gone to run another race. but whatever, it's obama and mccain now. are you old enough to vote? xp i have to get an absentee ballot. i feel special. Yep, I turned 18 in May.

And acts just like a celebrity. I was pissed off at the presidential debates. I couldn't get a straight answer out of him. He was talking, saying things people want to hear while trying to be nonspecific as possible. I don't quite like all of McCain's policies, but they seem a lot more realistic and down to earth. sweatdrop

Actually, if I remember correctly, he said that if Pakistan was harboring Bin Laden and refused to act (which I'm sure Pakistan would help to catch him, as I doubt Bin Laden's especially popular there either), that we would "take action." That's not specific. But I doubt he meant anything as drastic as bombs or starting another war. Barack's been a senator for four years, not 140 days.

BeXlieXve Phoenixia: You can still have an opinion. 3nodding Well my opinion is 1) That right now since I am concentrating more on the Canadian election I don't actually stay up to date with American politics.....so if I were to say something it would be based on limited knowledge 2) What I have heard about Obama, compared to McCain is much better, but it is also from the biased opinions of people I know 3) I think America NEEDS a non-white representative. Someone who is not aware of the needs of other countries besides Canada, UK, and Israel needs to be elected. McCain does not seem to be a solution (he just seems to be another one of those people who is all "Let's go America.....and who cares about the rest of the world". Whereas Obama has separate cultures in his past history..........so he might be more........accepting of other cultures And that is all I have to say. What the US does need to do is: -Fix up Wallstreet -Fix the housing problem -Do something for Africa and other poor countries -Stop acting like dictators of the UN -Do something about the increasing rift between the rich and the poor And much much much more.........

I am Pakistani.........(but I was raised up in Canada).........if Bin Laden was in Pakistan I wouldn't find that surprising........ Pakistan is one of the WORST countries to live in in the world........ It has no democracy. It calls itself democratic but everything that people see is just Mullah-ism. A Mullah going around threatening so and so unless that person does what the Mullah specifically wants him to do. And Pakistan is one of the countries that has the lowest tolerance levels.....and high propaganda........ I mean seriously they ELECTED an 18 year old!

That's not specific. But I doubt he meant anything as drastic as bombs or starting another war. Barack's been a senator for four years, not 140 days. Four years and he wants to become president?! That's like me being a second Lt. in the army for a couple of years and then suddenly promoted to Colonel! Utterly ridiculous to assume that 4 years of experience will make a good president. I want someone to know the cost of war...not someone who acts like he does.
The man's a puppet. I was pissed off at his presidential debate...just says what the people want to here without going into too much detail. He can't even make a good judgment call on foreign policy, like with Georgia-Russia bit. Who's to say also that he won't make a good call on Pakistan? We're already with dealing with Pakistan...it's not like we're ignoring them stare
The man also has honesty issues. I mean, 20 years of under Reverend Wright and the man doesn't realize that the guy is absolute white-hater? He is friends with domestic terrorists...enough to go to parties with...and deny any real connection His wife hated America before he became senator....great for a potential first lady rolleyes
I don't give a damn of the race and gender of a candidate. That should not be a factor in any race, to even consider that or play the race card in your favor shows the pettiness of your decisions and makes me wonder what true motives a candidate has at heart.

I mean come on, who wouldn't want to execute children for committing crimes?
You may claim that the US is corrupt, but we're not so corrupt that we can't help our fellow countries when they ask for help (whether it be food, money, health assistance)

There is nothing wrong with electing 18 years old, you could elect a 15 years old in that case!
And Pakistan got stupid presidents!
The people of Pakistan normally vote for losers like Benazir Bhutto, and that Musharaf...
I ain't supprised that Benazir got shoot! She had like 50 slave kids in her garden stare
The only one i support is Imran Khan... He has proven that he is worthy president!
