I heard in Japanese that the R cannot be pronunced so they pronunouced like as an L. is it safe to just replace R with L?

lol yeah that's right but keeping in mind alot of japanese words can mean 4 different things...If you said that sentence out of the blue people might think you mean that you're a celebrated musician lol. But yeah that's right completely xd .

The sound that's actually made is in between L and R. Where for L you would flatten your tongue against the roof of your mouth and for R you kind of curl your tongue, for the actual sound in Japanese it's kind of in-between with the tip of your tongue touching the roof of your mouth near your teeth and curled a bit. It's a very literal way of teaching pronunciation and all, but it does kind of help because there is a world of a difference in where you put your tongue and how you shape it when you're making sounds with your mouth.

Kansai-ben is the same as Osaka-ben I believe...Kansai is that area of Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, etc. I speak Chugoku-ben--not China, Hiroshima, Wakayama (i think) area dialect. People don't usually use "ben" if you're talking to random people on the street, they use universal Japanese (hyojungo), and nowadays there isn't much of a fluctuation of ben. But if you want to know some Kansai-ben is characteristics there are less syllables in certain words and desu is replaced with "ya" at times, there's more, but that's all I can remember for now.
