((HA HA! Got my stuff back! Thank you Gaia mods!!))

Zedo failed.

He attempted to return to his feet by pushing from his back into the air, but he simply fell back to the ground with another slam. He could hear Sogue laugh nearby. "W-what...? T-too tired?" he asked through heavy pants.

"Not even close."

Zedo stood, using all his limbs, with grace. He tried to steady his breathing, but his lungs and back ached too much to do anything but pant. Damn. He stood streight. Never before had it hurt more to do so. Never before had he been in such a raw fight. Enough Theatrics. he thought. Zedo began to walk slowly towards Sogue.

The two men stood face to face with each other. Painting heavily, Zedo righted himself and threw a hard punch to his opponent's jaw.

Sogue took the line drive to his jawline, blood and cheek matter flew through the air as he spat.

He wiped his face as Zedo stood ready, beckoning him, "Whenever you're ready," he said sincerly.

Sogue wasn't happy about looking weak. He moved tersly, deftly, plodding quickly toward Zedo. He leaped upward, not far, but enough, to kick at his opponent's head.

Ace stood for a moment in silence and thought to himself. He sheathed his weapons and stared at Joa-Boo. "Rules are;" he started, "there are no rules. Except, this is a skirmish, not a fight to the death. Unless you want me to kill you." A small smile formed on Ace's mouth. He could play mind games too. He had hoped to battle with blades first, as Joa-Boo knew nothing of his other talents.

"Whenever you're ready." Shouted the Lycan.

Ace obliged with a swift jump kick to the face. The beast hardly faltered. Ace ran to the right, ran along the wall, kicked off of a pillar and slammed his legs into Joa-Boo's back. He used the force to flip off, but as he did, the lycan, still unfaltering, grabbed his leg and chucked him into the nearest wall. "HA HA HA HA! IS THAT ALL YOU'VE GOT!" Joa-Boo shouted at him. "I've fought children better than you!"

With a little trouble, Ace got up and looked to where Joa-Boo had stood just a moment ago. He was gone. Ace heard the voice come from everywhere. "I'm everywhere Ace!" Ace drew into a defensive stance again. He'd been in a battle like this before. Unluckily for his last opponent, and Joa-Boo, Ace was an elementalist. Hiding in the shadows wasn't going to help him. Ace closed his eyes and concentrated and let himself feel the earth around him. Nothing. Ace kick back at the wall he had slammed into, knocking it down and creating an opening into the warm night. Ace concentrated again, this time feeling the air. There was nothing for a moment, and then...Ace flipped up, just as Joa-Boo tried to claw at him. In the air, Ace quickly drew Heartseeker, his bow, and fired an arrow straight into Joa-Boo's spine. Ace landed gracefully and quickly withdrew his bow. The Lycan had screamed with pain and angrily came at Ace. The fury in his eyes blinded him. Just as Joa-Boo reached him, Ace let the earth beneath him rise up, and Joa-Boo ran smack into the make-shift pillar that Ace had created.

Ace laughed heartily. "The trick is to hit me, not run into the wall. I thought you were some great warrior Joa-Boo?"

PostPosted: Wed Sep 24, 2008 11:46 am

"What wall?" Joa Boo returned as he fell through it, bringing his massive scythe down hard and fast with such power it whistled through the air. He too moved the elements but as long as there was light, he had shadows, and as long as he had shadows, there would be no elements against him but light.

The force and strength of his body built with the swipe through the air and as potential decreased, the power behind his blow increased. Both feet planted on to the ground and without a second thought of his first swipe twisted his weight hard to the left and bent his body to create the first swing into a combo with the blade bending with his body and cutting to the left. Joa Boo spun into a whirl and caught himself on a dot. His left hand pointing straight into the air for a strange magnetic balance that connected him to the hard floor.

"You wont get to see the warrior today, just the lycan." Joa Boo made out in a monotone and his voice shook through the air like it could be heard from all surroundings. His body was still and bent in a stance with the blade of the scythe far out to the left while his body, on one foot and the left hand in the air, motionless.

He breathed and kicked off the ground letting go of the scythe, it vanished into the shadows with a puff of purle smoke as a sharp double sided pike appeared above him and twisted like a fan moving quickly as it met with the finger tips of the slowly raising Joa Boo. He growled furiously and smacked the ground hard with the blade of his pike once he fell back to the ground. his feet landed gently and moved with swiftness along the floor with a waving combo of spinning the pike in various directions to slay his enemy.

(we might have to keep low on the puppetry because neither of us know very much about each others characters....later on to make this more interesting we could get into that...this is safer for both you and me man))

((Sorry, that seems to be a big problem of mine. I'll work on it.))

As the beast came towards him, Ace dodged to the left, drawing both his weapons at the same time, and narrowly blocked a few blows aimed at his head and body. The force knocked him back a little. Recovering, Ace shot back towards Joa-Boo. Ace jumped into the air, holding his arms out and parallel, and then quickly brought both in, slashing inward at Joa-Boo.

Recovering, Ace shot back towards Joa-Boo. Ace jumped into the air, holding his arms out and parallel, and then quickly brought both in, slashing inward at Joa-Boo.

((no man, don't look at it as a problem, it is a good habit for role-players, it's just that we don't know enough about each others characters to be successful in using this technique to make our fight more interesting. we may however be able to do some of that further into the battle if we talk and learn a bit about the fighters.))

Joa Boo saw this as a perfect opportunity to strike and flung himself forward with his pike parallel to his body and slides underneath Ace, who was in the air. This gave him the best strike he could ask for, as soon as he was perfectly under he flipped his pike upward at the backside of Ace and hoping to give a critical reality check.

The monstrous warrior didn't stop there, the force of his movement led him all the way to the wall. Once he feet touched the side he pushed off the ground with a powerful kick and started at a run up the side of the wall. With his feet and arms pumping he made it to the ceiling and then again kicked off of that with such force he shot at an angle from the top half of the field to the other with his pike out to a point like a bullet.

The blow knocked him to the ground, and Ace recovered just in time to see the lycan hurtling towards him. Ace jumped up to meet him and the force with which the two collided sent them both flying backward, catching Joa-Boo completely by surprise.

Ace was on his feet first, and got to Joa-Boo by the time he got up. The fury of blows that Ace sent near the lycan's way was both beautiful and frightening. Ace's prowess with his blades were unmatched, and for such a young fighter, it was just plain ridiculous. He was going completely off book, dazzling the lycan with his creative swordplay.

Now for the tricky part.

Ace unleashed another devastating series of attacks, pushing the lycan back. NOW! Ace threw Felix(for all of you that didn't read my profile, that's the name of the sword he holds in his left hand) into the air as he ran towards Joa-Boo. Ace brought his left arm foward, opening his palm and let a jet of fire rain out. Joa-Boo blocked the stream of fire that came at him, just as Ace reached him, and lashed at his left side with Excalibur, which Joa-Boo again blocked.

((This is being scratched...sorry man...to much puppet mastery...Joa Boo does read minds and I even read that coming from reading you post

What he didn't expect, however, was that at that precise moment, Felix came down to meet Ace's left hand, and Ace plunged it deep into Joa-Boo's right shoulder. Joa-Boo let out a scream of pain and punched Ace, sending him flying back. Ace landed on his feet gracefully, sliding across the tiled floor, and quickly wiped the dark blood on his blade.

that is the orignal post and it will be altered))

Joa Boo called the attack and knew there was a bluff. As soon as Felix shot forward Joa Boo pulled his scythe from out of the shadows and met the blade with an even stronger weapon. Joa Boo in a fury kicked up into the air, doing a flip and landed legs spread apart high on the pillars. Both of his weapons vanished into the shadows and he pulled his hand cannon which he trained to a point on the moving Ace. He took a few shots and powered his radiation. A massive build up of dark purple energy with an electric discharge began forming against the unused hand, his left, which he pulled back away from him to bend the power for more control. Then with a small laugh and wink of his eye it lifted from him onto the ceiling and was gone.

Joa Boo dropped form his perch and as he feel pulled the pike again form the shadows. Ace moved strategically and attacked offensively. Joa Boo had the upper hand with a long range weapon and was able to keep Ace at bay with simple bends and parries of his weapon. The twisting and power increased as suddenly the ceiling tore from the building and opened to a massive full moon high in the sky.

"Pray for mercy my fellow fighter." Joa Boo said, the beast building in him.

((Sorry...again. But do remember, you still have that arrow sticking out of your spine, and I don't know about you, but an arrow in my spine might just slightly hinder my movements/abilities; if anything, it would be extremely painful. ))

Ace panted heavily. He had thrown the fanciest swordplay at Joa-Boo, and all his strokes were met. Ace looked at full moon up in the sky, and watched Joa-Boo's body seem to well and burst with power. Ace laughed a little. This is what he fought for; his own little entertainment. Ace drew back defensively, and began to clear his thoughts. Meditation((ha ha, band)), he had found, kept him calm even during battle, and allowed him to focus. Ace's body started to radiant a bright red light, and his skin seemed to glow. Energy began pulsing through his veins like blood.

The next 30 seconds will decide this battle....no mistakes here.

((Oh don't worry about it man...just wanting to let you know at least for my taste you took it a little to far. That's why I just stay clear form saying what someone else might do....keeps me out of trouble...lol))

Joa Boo's body became something else. It was strong and build, like always but something different moved through him. With every stroke of his pike he seemed to grow, one, two, three feet taller then before, making him a good 9 feet and 10 inches tall.

At a sudden moment of uncontrollable twitching and phantom like movement, Joa Boo shot up against the ceiling and hung there, connected to the wall. His armor melted into the shadows with a puff of purple steam and the open flesh waited, clean and moving. Joa Boo's eyes rolled back into his head and his left eye completely sank inward, replaced by a demonic symbol of judgment with a gaping black whole forever sucking in negative energy. ((this has no significance to his powers, just looks cool))

His skin, dark and muscular lurched on it's own hinge and then with a crazy furry Joa Boo began to rip it off of him as if it was painful to wear. Then just as the flesh feel away it was replaced by a thick forests of pure black fur, stronger then the armor he was wearing before. Along the spine was a thick patch of white that cut into his curved body. Everything seemed to grow in size and strength.

Then the beast, still holding on to the pike dropped form his place in the sky and overwhelmed you with his speed and power. He moved at you with a helicopter spin of the pike and flipping himself against whatever surface he could touch. constantly coming at you. Those twitchy eyes and wolf like sense, reading into every little detail there could possibly be.

Ace did his best to stay focused and concentrated. The speed and fury with which Joa-Boo struck out at him was astounding, but Ace met each blow with Felix or Excalibur. The lycan's blows were fierce and swift, and Ace was beginning to tire; he lacked the supernatural strength that the beast possessed. Okay, this is really getting old; I've got to find his weakness.

Ace rolled backwards, narrowly dodging a blow to the chest, and raised his weapons in front of him; forming an X with the blades. He closed his eyes, as a great barrier of fire began to encircle him. His blades began to glow and surge with energy. Suddenly, Excalibur's blade burst into flames and Felix began to crackle with electricity. Ace let out let out a furious yell and quickly forced his arms to his sides, sending the barrier of fire in all directions, burning everything in it's path.

The heat of the fire bit at the ends of Joa Boo. As it moved across the field toward him he used the growing shadows produced in an effort to equal out the light given off by the flames to pull through an escape route. Joa Boo dropped through his own shadow as soon as it was big enough, just in time to avoid the full burst of the fires power. For a moment it was cold and still. The presence of Joa Boo gone left an ire silence over the torn up room.

With a puff of purple mist Joa Boo reappeared from the corners of your eye in a full assault with his cannon pistol and a wave of his pike. This technique was to keep you on your toes and herd you for a massive final attack. As soon as Joa Boo shot at least twice and swung at you with a complete thrust, all still in his lycan furry power, he was gone again in the shadows, just to disappear again into the shadows and from some where else.

Joa Boo did this with great repetition except for the location and movement of where he would appear. This made him completely unpredictable yet still just as functional and powerful with every swing and shot. The move lasted until he could feel it was the right moment to finish the furry.

With the ceiling gone, it was a lot easier to manipulate the wind, and a lot easier for Ace to fell where Joa-Boo would appear; giving him just enough time to react. Each of Joa-Boo's strikes were met with either Excalibur or Felix, showering the room with electricity and flame every time the blades connected.

Ace knew that this wouldn't keep on forever; knew Joa-Boo had something planned. Ace parried another blow, and watched Joa-Boo disappear again; immediately, Ace bent low ground and raised the ground around him, surrounding himself with the rock. He connected his makeshift wall at the top, creating a full barrier of rock that encircled him.

Thank God I read that book; Learn to Use Your Elemental Powers to Defend Yourself in 24 Hours!

Ace couldn't see Joa-Boo, which didn't matter much, because the beast was hidden in shadow so often; instead Ace was concentrated on the air and the earth outside of his barrier. He focused, trying to find where Joa-Boo was going to come from.

I bet the giant rock formation that appeared in 3 seconds will surprise him a little.

Very suddenly, in your shelter of confinement you felt a tickle, an itch at you side. From within the rock sealed barrier Joa Boo stuck his hand through the shadows and tickled at your side. He laughed but you could not hear it.

"Good thinking my little friend but you are not untouchable in any fortress." Joa Boo said through grunts and growls. He let out a powerful howl as he braced himself against another pillar. His claws dug into the rock wall and held him tight against it with ease. Then Joa Boo waited. He stuck himself outright over the gaping whole in the ceiling just to make sure Ace knew right where he was.

Ace lifted the barrier in it's entirety and hurled it at Joa-Boo, quickly following the huge beam of rock with his own body, slamming his shoulder straight into Joa-Boo's chest.
