I think that almost everyone here fails to understand the point of the tier list. It uses a combination of tournament data from tournaments that are confirmed of having high skill, as well the character match ups (x character has an advantage against y character) which are determined by the common player, and refined by the world's best players.

The argument "I'm good with X character" is frankly retarded. And I mean that by the literal definition of the word. Brawl is special in the sense that there is actually a fair amount of character balance, and it is more possible for a low tier to defeat a top tier than in melee.

Now for the individual examples.

"Toon Link and Fox should go up I think. Just my personal opinion because I'm really good with them." I can understand the argument for Toon Link, but Fox just isn't godly anymore. He's decent, hence why he's in the middle tier. Also, see above for the second part of your post.

I agree to the point were high tier is fine, but the rest seems jumbled. Well, what can you do but rant about the tier list, I guess Sakurai failed trying to not make it competitive. Weird how Captain F. is at the bottom, apparently his Ganondorf clone is much better than him. *Shrugs*

Ganon is better because he has tech chase murder fist high damaging moves and is able to kill practically at any part of the stage at low percents, where my main mr. falcon has no priority and limited(not none), but limited ko moves. The only thing he has going for him is his autocanceled aerials, speed, and dashgrabbing, even if his regular grabs suck.

As for the list I agree with it for the most part except maybe sonic.

I would put kirby higher because he has no lag on his aerial attacks when he lands. Also I would not have CF as the worst character because he is my main and I think he is better then alot of characters. Plus Meta Knight is banned from tournaments now because of his invisible glitch.
